TripleG's Apartment Based Breeding Grounds

That one Sensi NL is a freaking beast.
I'm pretty sure I told you this. The Sensi Northern Lights mother plant from which I received a clone produced just over 16 ounces of dried buds. I reversed that clone and made a bunch of S1 feminized Sensi NL seeds.

Yes, I think that qualifies as hash.

I am pretty sure I've heard that somewhere, lol. She's about waist high. Definitely big in my world. I guess it is getting more commonplace. If I could afford to run a third grow space it would be one plant with an extra long veg time and lots of training, the only way I will likely ever grow anywhere near a 1lb plant.

Unfortunately my big 3000k cob light build has been delayed a bit. Just a money problem, one final thing to buy that I can't seem to stretch my last buck to get. Lol, wife's friends called yesterday asking to borrow our last mars300. I told them to go on Ebay or I could build them all the light they will ever need for $300. Shoot, I had to try, lol. They returned the last one half dead and showing telltale signs of physical abuse.

Onto a bit of a ramble... I planted 9 Devil's Pitchfork x Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL. They are planted in straight coco in the 9cm fabric pots. After they break ground I am thinking they need to go straight into 11/13 light cycle. What I am a little torn about is how I want them to be grown. I have been seriously considering just keeping the tiny fabric pots as the final container or possibly planting them in a single bed of coco after they show sex.. I am leaning toward the latter.

I know it sounds pointless, but I just dont have the space for all of these to go into hempy. The growth is simply too explosive and I would have plants struggling to get light in no time at all. So, the rigors of life bring about more experimentation and therefore more valuable experiences. This could turn out to be a great way to test hybrids/or breed in limited space so I can grow the big girls without interruption.

Blah blah blah.. :smokin2:*smokes bowl of Punto Rojo x The One and is suddenly accosted by the complex's maintenance guy about sprouted lentils....* I can't make this $#!+ up. My rambling train of thought is kaput.

Just some quick snapshots

I'm not liking the node spacing on that Sensi NL. It should have a good bit more side branches and less space in between nodes. What would be the cause of that happening?

As you know I've been wanting to try to make some hash using the abundance of trim I have. The sifting tray/box I ordered arrived today. I ran some of my Chemdawg trim though it playing around this afternoon. I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount (more then I would have expected) and the quality (virtually no plant matter) of the kief produced using this sifter. I need to learn and work on actually turning this kief into hash. The first piece I made I just squished it between my fingers with it in parchment paper. Anyway it's a work in progress.

I got no clue. I vegged them for about 3 weeks under 24/0, blueish lights. My QBs are 4000k, again favoring blue. To my understanding that should keep nodes on the tight side.

As far as branching goes, maybe the 11/13 lights? Not every strain does it, but the majority do.

And the kief you have there looks absolutely delicious. :yummy:. I made just a bit today as the stresses were beginning to scramble my thoughts. Gave me something to do and was extremely tasty/potent, I tasted a bit of lemon rind for sure.

This could be light distance when flowering. I would like to see her ran in a tent full before I judged the node stretching. I like her calyx to leaf ratio and bud structure in the pic above. But that too could come from massive node spacing.

Interesting. Unfortunately I rarely grow enough of any single cultivar at one time to properly judge.

All 4 of my Northern Lights are growing with this stature... the Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL and Sensi NL x GG#4 I grew previously also grew like this. None have been trained.

Here are the newest additions.

3 on the far left are Zorillo Loco (Skunk #1 x Locomotion) from TGA iirc. The 9 unlabeled in the center are Devil's Pitchfork x Sensi NL x Nirvana NL IBL. Extremely robust seedlings.

Then of the 5 others that have yet to poke through 3 are QP auto x Stardawg auto S1s and the two on the far right are Chemdawg x Sour Angel S1s. I believe the post office sabotaged the shipment that these seeds came in. Only 5 of 12 seeds SEEM to have been intact.

So I don't know if you remember but I tried to germinate a few DPF over late winter with no luck. I soaked them and put them in paper towels like I always do and nothing. Then I tried putting the same beans in cups of dirt, still nothing. Later like a month or so ago I dumped the dirt outside in my yard. I noticed this yesterday

Nature has a way of getting shit done on it's own sometimes. Lol. I'm going to probably bring it inside or my move it to a more hidden place. Where it's at won't work. Crazy huh

That is freaking crazy.

I have a had good luck scarring my seeds before germinating. I would almost bet that a thin layer of plant resin coated the seed and that waterproof coating helped it survive 2 germination attempts and being thrown out in the winter. These plants are pretty damn rugged.

What's your best guess, is it a auto or photo? Hopefully it's a photo I'd like to bring it inside and keep it around for awhile
Since it is an F1 of a photo and auto it will be a photoperiod plant.

The Devil's Pitchfork I have going now are F2s. Only 2 out of 9 were autos, got about 20 or so of those beans left. The next generation should be 100% auto. That's the primary trait I am currently chasing. Although I must admit, the photoperiod F2s are really robust bushy plants.

What size is that tent @Dankman_420 ? Those plants look to be a pretty good size (and gorgeous) yet they look like they have lots of room.

I got out the parchment paper and iron today and experimented with that kief in the photos above. I ended up with 5.01 grams of ironed kief. I think I over cooked the dark chunk. I'll figure it out as I go.

It's 32"x48"x60". It was crowded when I had 4 going inside. I just culled a GG that went herm on me. I've never seen a plant pop up so many nanners before. It went from none to tons of them. It was a bag seed from a bag I got from a friend. He had nothing but problems with the mother plant. I should have known better. I like the hash experiment you have going on :thumb:
