TRD Grows Carnival, Mango, Bubblegum & DC

You're welcome for the little knowledge I dropped. I try and keep a clone of everything I run until I'm sure it isn't worth keeping it. This has caused me some headaches with trying to keep plant counts down and not being able to cut a strain out of rotation as quick a I would like due to having too much time invested in the next round.

Sue I am sure you will break your ceiling at some point. I was trying to beat 7 ounces for a couple of years as my best and just finally achieved it in the last year. My new personal best is now over 9 ounces from one plant. It was a delicious critical sensi star grown in a 15 gallon pot. Keep at it and it will happen :) :thumb:

Thank you for the vote of confidence GreenYeti. I need to pay closer attention before that's gonna happen, but by God I have every intention of doing it. It won't be with this one though, that's for certain. After I topped her today I realized she'd been in flower for the past week, since I'd neglected to reset the timer when I set the plants in there to finish vegging. Not sure how much damage I did, but I'll clone her quick and save the genetics.

It's a mistake I won't make again. :laughtwo: Those tents were intended for flowering only, and I bent the rules this time. Ahhhh....... It's good I paid close enough attention to know what to do in response.

I hope you dont mind TRD but I thought you may enjoy seeing what my Bubblegum looks like when finished.

Sue, everyone makes mistakes here and there. I have been doing this for a while and I still do as well. Paying attention is key. You seem to have a lot going on between all of your threads that you run or frequent and all of the research you do. So it must get hard to keep up with everything I get that.

You sweet man. :laughtwo: I'm thankful I can laugh about it. I'll pull it out of the fire. She's bouncing back already and has a good two months to impress us with her feminine wiles.

My my my. What a beautiful specimen. I hope my girl puts out some nugs like that. Top notch quality you have the Yeti. Wow!

Share that shit on my page any time you want

Thanks man I appreciate the compliment :) This is probably the best batch I have done. It is frostier than the previous runs. I am sure yours will come out fantastic. If your more indica structure is any indication you may have the dense nugged frosty pheno that looks almost white. That's the pheno I was hoping for but between yield and quality I can't complain :thumb:

checkin in....

Hey Doc. I must admit that I haven't flipped my plants yet due to laziness. I need to get my tent back up and running and I have placed my energy and time elsewhere. I do plan to move them in after a couple of weeks though as I have just given them another Growth Energy drench. My thought process is that I want to give the plain water then a transwater then give a trans drench after I flip and have them in their new home. Am I right in planning it this way?

I went a little long in between drenches/watering. The Carnival and Mango looked pretty droopy when I checked on them last night. But, as you will see In the pictures, they bounced back quickly.

I have another problem I need help in solving. This LED that I have is a 1200 watt model. I have had it in a 3x3 space and I will be moving the plants to a 4x4 space. The LED was more than adequate in the the 3x3 but I'm not sure how it will do in flower when I need the most light. Should I add my 400 watt HPS light to supplement my LED until the Advanced gets here or do you think the 1200 will suffice. I want to grow big plants again so I'm hoping to exceed my last harvest for 4 plants. Any advice will be appreciated.

On to the pictures.

Here's the Bubblegum. I shall call her paralellogram.

This is my Devils Carnival. I may leave her in veg a bit longer so I can clone her.

Beautiful plants!

Definitely add in the HPS light. The plants will love the combination of LED and HID. I always flower and LED/HPS.

Looking good here! I would add the HPS if heat isn't an issue. A 1200 Watt LED and a 400 Watt HPS in a 4x4 might be too much heat.

Yeah... i think I can control the heat as the HPS is air cooled. I'm just hoping that it won't be too much light, if there is such a thing. Thanks for stopping by buddy.

Cheers

Hey Noob! Plants are looking great! I don't think you can have too much light and I'm sure others will suggest adding the HID. Advice I need to follow myself with 2 HID 600w lights sitting unused, my problem is finding space for it in the 4X4 with the Goliath and the massive fan filter combo.

Keep up the great work! :high-five:

Finding space is definitely a concern. I think I will only be flowering 3 plants this go around so I can clone my DC. Maybe with only 3 plants i will have the space. If it comes down to it, I can always put my filter and fan outside the tent. I don't want to do that though. Thanks for stopping in ween.

Cheers

You had 2 HPS in the tent last time right? Those create much more heat than the LED in my opinion. LED panels should only raise ambient temp maybe 4 degrees. The HPS being air cooled I don't think you'll have an issue. I wouldn't turn it on until 3 weeks into flower but after that, blast 'em! LED with the combination of deep reds from the HPS will rock it dude.

It's pretty cool you are going to clone the DC. We have one in flower right now and am going to play with the drenches to see what works the best. Our last run ended up with a P deficiency so we will try to correct that.

Your ladies are looking great. Keep it up. Paralellogram...love it lol.

Too much light.....nahh!...:blunt:...... Pound em with all you got and give em all the soil ya can , they love it!
Cheers Noob and friends!

I still haven't heard from Kyle, despite the promise to 420 that he'd get the panel out ASAP. A week later and only crickets. I'm glad you have a backup plan. I'm doing my best to get that light to you. We're almost halfway through the year.

Kyle's making me wonder about my power to move heaven and earth. :laughtwo:

Yesterday I heard from the grower in Jamaica who got the Devil's Carnival seeds. One of his turned out to be a photo too, and he's cloning the hell out of her. Quite a happy man.

I knew you would like the paralellogram comment. Lol yeah, I think I'm going all DC for my next run. I think I will just keep this one in veg to be the mother until it's time to move her to flower.

Will do brotha. I kind of knew I would be ok but I wanted to make sure. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Yeah... i think it's kind of shitty that they are giving you the run around with a prize that they committed to providing. Makes me wonder about their business practices in other capacities. Especially to someone as well known and followed as yourself. Oh well. I will still be growing fine ads dank without their light.

I want to grow something not a lot of growers are growing and I have found it in the DC. I will unlock the beauty of this strain if I can stick to my plan. Might have to coordinate with Nismo to do some more breeding along with it.

Cheers

Hearing this has made my day Sue. If you ever get any pictures, I would absolutely love to see them...as I'm sure everyone else would too. Thank you for sharing this.
