Beautiful country and would live to move there. I have a school friend who emigrated there and I am so envious of his Facebook posts , not too mention getting together with the guys fromOur public healthcare system here in New Zealand is pretty good:
It's not perfect as big pharma still has lots of power and the government is at the whim of the shitty pharmaceutical market and industry..
- free inpatient and outpatient treatment at public hospitals
- free hospital care if you have an accident
- free maternity care
- free support services if you have a disability
- subsidies on prescriptions
- free fertility services
I agree!Beautiful country and would live to move there. I have a school friend who emigrated there and I am so envious of his Facebook posts , not too mention getting together with the guys from
NZ here. Lets see what the new world does for us all. Hopefully you guys will get to dump the colonial bullshit too and have your heretige back. Queenie not been seenie in while by us!!!. Hoping grim reaper had a party for them all as they have all disappeared now too !!. ( some of us know !)
It was when they insisted I live on simvastatin ( for however long that would let me KNOW I am living-vascular dementia et al... ). Like many over 40's here i didnt question it as all we had seen for years were terror campaigns about cholesterol and my test came in at 19. something. panic ensued with sod all advice on real diet but plenty of doctor computer tapping to find the cheapest ( To his practice) supplier. More time was spent doing this than advising me at all. prescription written , job done. lol . As I stood at the pharmacy with my life saving doctors incantation , I was reading an ad on the pillar in front of me with the catchy tag "ARE YOU ON STATINS" , I read it while I was in the queue and it was warning me off using them in place of a better alternative to these dangerous stations!!!. confused a little , I got to the counter and the guy looked at my prescription then me and then second guessed my Gp !!!! . He asked if I had done the blood tests ect and after I told him he went and got my meds. That set me off on research rhen and I found a lot about statins ect. I stopped taking them after a month and have not touched any meds since. i am at my fittest i have been for a decade ( besides crap breathing from joints !!). Also did a lot of other research into the scam of the NHS here. great people being managed by criminals here. renting hospitals from big corps who built them for purpose and charge 10x the market rates, charge for ALL parking ( even staff) Limited spaces for huge demand and also a very high cost to park. All hospitals built with shopping arcades inside now( but no ethical restrictions on who is selling on site such as pizza hut et al -healthy ??) and all paid for by our contributions with the national insurance scheme taken from our pay at source. .Awful devisive weapon now sadly. postcode lottery on what care you can get and if you can use another areas resource for health. We had to go to 3 major hospital sites covering over 300 miles when our daughter dropped the butterfly from her earing into her ear. We were told each time, there was nobody on-site that could tweezer it out so would have to try another hospital ( after paying for parking then sitting for over 2 hours min at each site too). We then had to come home with a distressed and exhausted 3 year old and wait over a week for an appointment for her to be out to sleep for it . I have many more sadly in my 53 years and 8 children 3 wives . lol For me , natural health care and a strong immune system building is now the goal. I feel for so many who go into health care here to find it is so abusive of their commitment and loyalty to the point of killing what was once a truly great service. All planned to steal as much public money as possible now sadly.I actually meant it’s not free, Tats why I air quoted it, it is paid for. Sadly we have a demographic who think because the money doesn’t come out of their pocket it’s “free” and the health system gets abused. We have people who ring an ambo and turn up to emergency with a sore knee and I’m not even joking.
We have a PBS system here, if you are a concession card holder you pay next to nothing for meds. And a lot of common meds are sold at a hugely reduced price and the government picks up the tab. For example a child born with T1DM will have their entire treatment needles/insulin/pumps/readers paid for until they are 18. Personally I think all childhood medications/treatments should be paid for by the government. What pills do you take? I’m not sure what you can get made for less than a dollar when it comes to meds. I could definitely compare prices here if you were interested in costing though.
Funny we were discussing this today. I do have private health, but If it was an emergency I would refuse private and demand public. Our public system is by far superior to private when it comes to acute care.
Listen I’m no doctor but I can tell you 18 is dangerously high when it comes to cholesterol. First was the test done while fasting or had you just finished a plate of roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and bread and dripping and a glass of melted butter? It was when they insisted I live on simvastatin ( for however long that would let me KNOW I am living-vascular dementia et al... ). IMO A good doctor would have given you dietary education, and given you the option to get it down through healthier choices. Some people are just predisposed to collecting fat in arteries no matter how healthy they eat, while I don’t think it is considered hereditary it is definitely familial, and it 100% causes early deaths. They tend to join the zipper club/die in their 60’s. You very seldom see people in their 70’s with super high cholesterol coz they dead.
I too hate the way pharmaceutical companies manage certain aspects of health. Morbidly obesity for example, people can keep eating kfc and drinking their cola while their PBS subsidised statins, beya blockers and hypoglycemics keep them alive, while killing them slowly at the same time. Too fat for an ambulance? Nah don’t take responsibility and make healthier choices, we will just build bigger ambulances/beds/shower chairs/pads/gowns. Chronic pain, oxy, endone, fentanyl and morphine gets prescribed, despite the fact it has been scientifically proven opiods are not an appropriate treatment for chronic pain. It is infuriating.
I also agreed with the irony on the hospital breakfast tray. Rice bubbles, white bread, butter, jam, tinned peaches and apple juice. May as well just eat a cup of sugar and the unhealthiest carb choices on offer. This is dietician driven, despite once again it being scientifically proven a high protein diet assists with wound healing, but eat shit, drink sugar oh and here you go, take this multivitamin that will fix ya
I totally agree about the parking. Some families are forced to stay in hospital for months at a time, and they don’t get an exemption, it is disgusting to me. I know someone who had a critically ill child In PICU who was choppered to the main children’s hospital while the parents drove. They were at the hospital for 3 weeks. Their car did not move from that park for 3 weeks, and they would have had to pay 3 weeks too if the quick thinking dad didn’t pretend he had only parked there that day and lost his parking ticket.
I agree that a strong immune system and natural health care are of course the best form of basic defence, but those things alone won’t cure disease and infection. When the balance shifts and the pathogen has control that is where medication is life saving. I am not talking you come to hospital with an infection so you are pumped with 4 different AB’s before blood work returns, I am talking well thought out treatments based on results after testing. Too often I see patients treated with AB’s that are found to be resistant to the bacteria after the fact. Next minute the Patient is rotting from the inside with Cdiff, shitting out their soul.
I am proud of the health service we provide, and there is not a shift that goes past that I don’t feel both proud and humbled of the care we give. Today is my Saturday, I have worked the last 3 days and I could give you clear examples how we have comforted/ cared for/ given life saving treatments/educated/supported both patients and their families.
So I’m going to finish this with one of my highlights from yesterday. It’s actually a joke and it was told to me by a fellow nurse. Made me snort laugh:- What did Cinderella do once she got to the ball? She gagged. LOLLLINGGGGGGGG.
nice end to a heartfelt post T. I don't doubt your integrity or total compassion and commitment as they are obvious with how you mention it and always positive too. The UK is con thanks to political greed sadly and its impact and damage to the system here is getting harder to hide. Docs here make so much from their private practices and the charges to the NHS for basically prescription writing. I do agree we need healthcare but real care and not the version we have here now. loved the post and the time it must have taken is appreciated too. be well T.Listen I’m no doctor but I can tell you 18 is dangerously high when it comes to cholesterol. I see two teeth - is that the best he's got? I have a cute little white dog about the same age. A cross between a wire terrier and a chihuahua named Monty. He won't let anyone pat him but me.Kk, 1, 2, 3 back to me and round 2 of my grow.
So I have these posh seeds and I have such anxiety I’m going to break them! I’m used to rough and tumble mongrel seeds. I had this idea of staggering the grow so I can focus on breast feeding them one at a time, but realised I just need to get on with it.
They are mine to fuck up and if I fuck em I fuck em. There will always be more seeds.
My Twiggy Two is revegging like a boss. Minxie is looking like she needs to be palliated. If she doesn’t green up in 14 days she will get her wish.
And this is Billy. He is between 72-88 in dog years and he has become the grumpiest mofo you will ever meet. I swear if he could talk all he would ever growl is “fuck off”. This is him growling at me to fuck off coz I asked him to sit for a photo op.
He is pit bull cross white Persian. He only has 4 teeth left poor bloke. He was a rescue dog who had endured terrible treatment. They never broke his spirit that is fo sho.I see two teeth - is that the best he's got? I have a cute little white dog about the same age. A cross between a wire terrier and a chihuahua named Monty. Be careful with things like orange peels that can cause mold. Safer using one of the Bovedas to bring RH up.brilliant T. as mentioned just let them sit and see what they come in at. for an over dry , i have used a little orange peel to help bring a little back. found the limonene in the pith didn't ruin the original terms at all. just a though. Great work BTW.
I do as a rule Mr krip. also mentioned them here previously but if not available or possible then a small piece can work wonders to get some moisture back without changing the terpenes profile.Be careful with things like orange peels that can cause mold. Thank youHi Tra.
Those buds are looking real good.
Looking at the Rh You don't need to burp them anymore.
You want them ideally to be sat between 57 and 62%
Just check them regularly and if they go above 62% then burp them.
Leave em sealed and there might just be enough of a wet fart left inside to moisten the camels arsehole
(I think there might be a button to change those to degrees centigrade)
Thanks G.brilliant T. as mentioned just let them sit and see what they come in at. for an over dry , i have used a little orange peel to help bring a little back. found the limonene in the pith didn't ruin the original terms at all. just a though. Great work BTW.
