Trala’s Tent

⭐💛⭐💛⭐💛Happy Sunday Peepstars💛⭐💛⭐💛⭐
These February weeks are just flying past! I’ve had a little kip, and I’ve awoken hitting the ground running! My ducks are almost in a row! Just the way I like them.

Metal Health Walk ✔️
Yoga ✔️
Dinner cooked ✔️
Clean sheets ✔️
Sunday pics ✔️

I’m gonna watch a bit of trash tv while seeing how many malteasers I can fit in my mouth at once, then at 5pm it’s bath, hair wash, legs shaved, facemask, tunes, wine, scoob, dinner, bed, and in that order and peeps, I’m living for it! Lollll. Nightshift can be hard on both mental and physical health. But it’s almost behind me now 🖤

Kk, nuff of the oversharing! Let’s get this update done bruv!

Sunday Summary

First bad news. My Bee’s have absolutely convinced me they hate the extra Bloom component to my nutes. I have a two part nute, and despite knowing less is more, I added a third part. Big mistake. Stinky is being further poisoned by them each time she’s watered. I’m so mad at me about it too. As you can see, she’s a hot mess, but her bud seems undamaged which gives me hope I can get it in the jar.

Would you snap a picture of the labels on your nutes showing the guaranteed analysis for each bottle? Also advise how much of each product you used when feeding. I'd love to crunch some numbers and see how many ppms per element were being fed when things went sideways. Particularly curious to see if K exceeded 300 ppm because we've seen similar issues when people were adding high K supplements to Mega Crop, which on its own is already higher in K.

Omg I would appreciate that so much!

And good morning!

I’m back at work today, but I’ll get pics as soon as I finish. I did great with the 2 Part nutes. But the minute I added the extra, things went to shit within 24 hours.

I thought I was using to much, but even when I halved the actual half dose it recommends things went to shit. I’ve used it on two plants, my Zkittles failure I grew with carcass and this Runtz Muffin.

I don’t understand PPM CALMAG pH K or any of that stuff.

Speaking of Tega Brop *tapsnose*, I’m in the process of trying to get some. It will be going to my safe house, I can see it’s in a plane, hopefully customs allows it in. That is the best nute for my grow style. Just works on green. Green I understand.

I’ll get you a pic of the containers when I get home. Thank you for taking the time to help me understand what’s going on.

If I remember correctly you're using dry nutes, any chance you could scrape off the top layer and reapply the flowering mix without the bloom booster?
That’s right el Beardo. Omg I did! Next day I brushed off the whole top layer, but a lot had obviously been activated. The half life on that shit is cRaY CrAy! Every water I know she’s being further poisoned.

Imagine how bad she’d look had I left it?!

PeeBee and the rest of the bunch are looking great today,T...
well, Stinky looks a little rough, but her buds will smoke just fine...
I added a third part. Big mistake.
Bloom nutes/boosters have never worked out well for me..even at half the recommended dosage, stuff got burned up- so I just stay away from them now...
because we've seen similar issues when people were adding high K supplements to Mega Crop,
Yeah, that's what I did- MegaCrop, plus Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion...burnt some stuff up
real fast with that combination.. 😬

Yikes! Sorry to hear one of yours made the ultimate sacrifice for our education. For that I thank you. That's where I derived my upper limit for K from. Much more than 175ppm of N and your burning tips, K in the 300 and up range and the whole plant can implode, and P, well high doses of it, 120 ppm, and it can lock out multiple micros. P above 60 is totally unnecessary.

Whether it's starting too many plants for your space (Farside raises hand), vegging too long resulting in plants busting through the tent walls, or overfeeding, we all fall victim to Greedy Growers Syndrome - The Quest For The Biggest Yield.

Actually, it was 3 of them (slow learner here🤪) a couple of years ago- 2 of them weren't too bad, but I really torched a Northern Lights..

Hey C Breeze

Fortunately the necrotic tissue hasn’t travelled as far as the bud. It’s only affected the leaves, at this stage anyhoo. Her bud looks good. Really good in fact.

I’m so mad at me. I didn’t need it. My plants looked healthy, the green I mean. Just so silly. Adding extra when you don’t need it then being pissed off because the plant tells you angrily it doesn’t need it.

I love Tega Brop *taps nose*. It really suits me and my style of growing.

I’m a sucker for vegging too long. But in my defence it seems to take my plants so much longer to find shape. I don’t have a fancy light. I’ve often wondered if that plays a role.

But on to the nutes. And thanks again for having a crunch at the numbers for me coz I got zero idea about that stuff. As far as the 2 Part goes, I’ve had okay results. Nothing that people will write songs about. But enough.

The feed for the 2 Part:- 1st Veg, 2nd Flower
One tablespoon for every foot/30cm every 3 weeks

D8F502B7-7D36-4B75-88DA-7C5A83B40A1E.jpeg

This additive is when things went to shite. This is the second plant I have used the Boost on with a similar result.

It’s ratio is less. For the plant in question, I used half of that coz I’m all about less is more. Within 24 hours yellow leaves.

Half Tablespoon for every foot/30cm every 3 weeks

24E4BFFA-34DE-4E30-A510-65E8AFF1A430.jpeg

Thanks for having a look for me, farside. I really appreciate it. And when you explain it to me, please dumb it down just a bit, and when I say just a bit I mean a lot, and when I say a lot I mean explain it like you are talking to a bonobo with frontal lobe damage.

Before we get to the numbers... First off, you say you're feeding 1 Tablespoon per foot of plant height? The instructions I see for these products say .5 to 1 teaspoon, not Tablespoon. Perhaps you just quoted the wrong unit of measure. I'm making the computations based on 1 teaspoon. Next, Green Planet states in their product brochures that these products are meant for coco or soil-less. Frankly I don't see how that's possible because they don't contain most of the micros (ie iron, magnesium, copper, etc). It's not really a complete nutrient system. Lastly, you'll note that one of the ingredients in each product is Potassium Sulfate, yet there is no Sulfur listed in the guaranteed analysis. The Sulfur component of Potassium Sulfate is 34% of the amount of Potassium so I accounted for it in my calcs. Boost has a second source of Potassium and I'm not certain as to how much of each product is used in Boost. Therefore I assumed half the Potassium came from each source.

On with the show...

This is what things look like when you feed the Grow fertilizer

I typically look for 150-175 ppm N. The Green Planet grow is 211. As long as you're not seeing tip burn you're OK.

Next lets look at what happens when you change to the Bloom fertilizer.

The N drops to 105, which could lead to yellowing plants. P goes up a little, and K jumps to 175. I like to see K in the area of 180-220 ppm so that's close.

What happens when you add Boost to the Bloom?

The N stays the same since there is no N component in the Boost. Still lower than the 150ish I'd like to see. P jumps to 119. I've run as low as 20 ppm of P with no problems. 40-50 is more than adequate. Over 100 and I've seen P start to lock out other micro nutrients, so 119 is a bit concerning. K is almost 280ppm. That's approaching the upper limits. I've seen catastrophic results when K gets over 300 ppm.

With the products on hand, lets look at another alternative. Feeding 3/4 teaspoon Grow, and 1/2 teaspoon of Boost for the blooming phase of your plants.

N raises to 158 ppm which should keep them green. P drops 26 points to reduce the chances of excess P locking out micro nutrients. K is 170 ppm which should be adequate. its only 5 ppm different than when you feed the Bloom fertilizer with no other supplements. If you're gonna change anything, I'd consider the Grow + Boost fertilizer program.

Omg thank you so much!

And it’s tablespoon. The website is the typo they still haven’t fixed.

I’m back at work today so I will properly read this this arvo.

I really can’t thank you enough, I mean I can, but it will take a lot of them. We’re busy people. I haven’t got the time to write em and you haven’t got the time to read them. Im just gonna maths equation it for you Rainman coz your defs a man who likes numbers!

Thank you x 189 547 333!

And the grow + boost. Farside I’m so scared of that boost.

You have given me so much help with them. I’ll fine tune it. I’ll write a chart.

Thanks again. Xo

And the grow + boost. Farside I’m so scared of that boost.

The Boost is basically a P, K and Ca booster. Its fine as long as you're not layering it on top of another product that's already heavy in P & K like the Bloom is. That's why I flipped the script and added it to the Grow instead.

Omg I was doing that.

I was doing both. Bloom one day, then Boost approx 7-10 days later then repeating that schedule 3 weekly.

And it’s definitely tablespoon.

I haven’t really absorbed your post. I’m not the brightest star in the sky lol. I’ll reread it through the day.

I will go with what you recommend that way if it goes to shit, I get to blame you. My motto in life: why take responsibility when the blame game is sooooooo much easier!

Thanks again and have a great day!

Omg and I’m trying to use up a product called Buds a Million. I use 4mL in 2L once a week. I think it’s Aussie CalMag. Could that be further fuckimg me in my own arse?

This is EXACTLY why mum said I can’t have nice things!

Lolllingggg
