No I didn’t get the booster.
Should I?
Ill take a leaf out my hydro supply guys book of knowledge.
Because Im more a soil guy, but had Da Virus not come crashing in ruining the party I probably would have been a hydro enthusiast again.
His schtick goes like this. If you are growing at scale, say for profit, it doesnt make a huge amount of difference, it probably just adds to the workload and outlay. Instead run another plant and just add like 5 to 15% more on top of the workload, theres not that much difference between say 10 or 11 plants.
And he thinks that way because 10 is commercial cultivation, where you get tangled up in much greater penalties, its a much greater crime. 10 would be full on hard work for a lot of people.
But the small gardener, or grow your own types (like us) with just say 1 to a few plants are in a position to add the extra booster for more yeild, we really dont want more plants. We tend to sit at a comfortable number which is the max we have time for to tend.
By using a booster its not really taking up any more space, floor or canopy, but you should, in theory, get better bang for you buck and time, because you only have the plants you have, and its only a bit more effort to add a booster in.
So maximising whats already there in terms of flower makes sense, put a few dollars in the nute end, grab more weight at the back end in harvest.
Which all made pretty good sense to me. I see the logic and merit in it.
So my own thoughts are if done well, you get the timing right and the plant responds well the booster nutes should be cheaper by a big margin than buying weights. As a grow your own our place is more thinking about the outlay for retail weed and how to avoid paying out, not so much how many dollars we can make selling.
And thanks. Hopefully I cut and paste and add the right amount of days every week lol
Sure. Plenty of time before needing to cross check. The numbers they give from seed supply are just guides any way, pretty rubbery.
I reckon in most cases its usually time beyond their numbers, being within their band they publish isnt that common. Outdoors forget it, zero chance they are even remotely accurate.
