Yes, that's exactly right! Think of the plant like a clock- nodes 2&3 are at 12, 3, 6, & 9 O'clock- so you'll want to steer the branches from the bottom node to 1:30, & 7:30...easy peasy...
No, you're doing it just right...now is also the time to remove the inward- facing leaves on the top side of the branches so the emerging branches under them get some good light...it's probably only 4 leaves that need to go- I can only see 3 of them here- there's 1 more on the other side of the plant (where I can't see)

So my plants don’t look happy, I know they look “ok” but I’m not doing this to grow mediocre ok plants. I want to grow like the 420 All Stars people like Bill, Carcass, Emilya, Mr S & Mr K and Juzzy Gee to name a few. I am wanting that real like cultivated oh I don’t know the word, like styled look.
TBH from the get go these two seeds have not looked happy. I initially over nuted to the point I’m lucky they didn’t die when they were new babies. They never fully recovered, they are droopy. They are always droopy. It’s not overwatering, I left them an extra day, they were literally dry as a dead dingos donger. I watered expecting them to burst with happiness and 12 hours on they are still sad. They just never look happy. If they were human you would describe them as clinically depressed.
I got a root shot and their roots look good. Good enough to uppot in fact.
So I’ve got some pics.

Their leaves should be opened like hands and raised up and proud to the sun. Instead they are listless and lowered. I can’t tell you what is wrong, but I can tell you what it’s not. It’s 100% not overwatering. It could be underwatering, however the fact they are not bouncing back after a drink suggests not. It’s not too cold. The temp in my garage is 18 degrees centigrade at its lowest. The light and the tent and the insulation of my besser blocked low section in my home makes it cooler in summer warmer in winter.
I‘m really wanting advice, any advice.

WillE looks marginally better, marginally that is. There are leaves with tacoing, and one is almost twisted.

Okay I’m going to bounce out of bed, shower, get some Terra from hydro dude coz I’m out and hopefully there will be some 420 advice.
I am thinking uppot. No trimming today, just an uppot and a good drink.
I am so desperate for advice I really want to ask my hydro dude for advice but if I use history as my guide he will patronise me with his “baby girl“ banter, then fuck me in the arse with a $100 worth of grow products I don’t actually need. Last time I was there I bought a nute version of treacle or golden syrup or whatever it is for a billion dollars and worst part my wingman was like you don’t even need it.

Yup and $8 clams will get you two pints of unsulfured molasses but the grow shop version is so much better since it was bottled underneath a rainbow colored unicorns dangly bits and he gets commission on every sale

I think they're just rootbound- up-potting should give them a whole new lease on life...
They appear to be a little more droopy today than they were on Saturday, which makes sense- the roots have even less room today than they had 3 days ago.
A day or 2 after transplant, I think they'll be loving life again!

I know, but they’re not right. None of my plants have ever looked this continuously sad. And I know they’re ok, but carcass, I’m not chasing ok. I’m chasing Carsplederous. Ok fingers crossed It’s just an uppot. I don’t think it is going to be that easy but I am all about the trama so hopefully I’m wrong. And it may not be...but it's a good starting point, and it eliminates "rootbound" as a possible problem...
We'll know in 48 hours or so...if they're still droopy, we'll have to dig a little deeper....

So I didn’t guesstimate one thing. I used 90% Canna, 10% white polystyrene stuff that comes from volcanoes, and one small handful of Blood and Bone. Omg so funny, my half dead deaf blind geriatric dog became puppyfied at the smell of the B&B. Literally bounding like a Thompson Gazelle!

Rootball okay, but defs no signs of being rootbound. Roots still wet from last nights last minute panic water so I haven’t watered as such. Just gave the leaves a light cleanup shower.

Oh and I’m pleased to report this slight spillage was my only disaster. Very unlike me if I do say so myself.
