Trala’s Tent: Lucky Edition

I could see I could easily pin it down so I did.

Now that I see it topped, I'd say leave it pinned down, should work fine- loosen it up just a bit, though

Yes- just right!
I loosened them, but they haven’t quite forgiven me.
They will - doing this kind of training, they'll usually look pretty bad for awhile, and (ideally) when they get a little bigger, things fall right into place...

You're Welcome!
See you tomorrow!

Hi @Carcass

So this morning's near disaster.

I put the plant here to take some close up pics for you. I will reinact my crime like they do on crime shows.

So my grandson starts chatting and I go and look at spiders with him, forget about Carla T photography and start fiddling with my plants, and after a bit I can't find Carla T. So I'm now actively looking thinking wtf?, Wondering where did I put her?

I retrace my steps.

"I had her here" I'm thinking...

I look down. And with HORRORRRRR I see Carla, crumpled and hurt.

Honestly, I am so mad at me!

I don't think there is any real lasting damage.

Aw shiitake mushroom You gotta do little chalk outlines and show her all hooked up to monitors. Duct tape STAT!! We are losing her - somebody get me a splint on nodes 2 and 3. Nurse I need 10 mils of seaweed started in an IV drip, top that with 2 drops of SuperThrive

Damn it Tra - I’m calling Plant Protective Services...

LOLLINGGGGG!

You know what?

You fucking should. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. These plants live despite me not because of me.

I‘ll tell you another thing I do to them too, and that’s leave them out in the pouring rain. I know the general consensus is that is basically a cannabis warcrime, but I just can’t believe rain can be so good for every other plant in my yard and not the actual weed.

Lucky is just drying out now in the last rays of afternoon sun. She has had 3 dumps of rain today, which is a bit much really. I do get I’m prolly the only grower in here who believes this, but I think plants need their leaves nice and clean and healthy to help them metabolise goodness and breathe like a huge set of liverlungs.

I think Carla will be fine..I was pretty sure you were going to say she fell in the pool- that might have been a problem- and you'd have to clean the pool, so 2 problems
Carla might be mad for a day or two, but I think she'll forgive you...
Lucky is sure a beautiful plant! I don't know what you're feeding her ( I should know this, but I don't) but she's loving it!
And no worries about the 45degree angle- as long as the branches have a slight upward angle to them, that's all that matters.
You know... have a real talent for this stuff
whether you believe it or not- your beautiful plants tell the real story....

About the rain- the only real danger is when the buds get real big and get rained on- those big ol buds hold a lot of water, so they get very heavy, and branches start breaking off, or the plant splits right down the middle- it's happened to me, so I know it's a real"thing".
Lucky will be fine in the rain for a little while longer, but when those buds get huge (and they will get huge) you might want to bring her in if there's
a storm on the horizon. ;)
Great video too!

I hope so.

I‘m such a klutz.

So a slight upward angle? Do you know I always thought it was downwards. I tell you your whole skewer and wire shackles are a game changer to me. I hated tying them so much.

I was really surprised at the comparison to the unCarrcassed plants. The unC look so much bigger when in actual fact they are the same size, they just grow differently.

Thank you, Carcass. I think I’m quite okay getting plants to veg, but I do struggle to keep them beautiful in flower.

I learned that on the Tangie Trio. I could 100% see when it wasn’t fun for them anymore and that was prolly 21-28 days before I chopped them. That reminds me, I must see where I’m at with Lucky and flower time.

Hey Carcass did you ever see how Lucky looked when I got her? It’s page one of this journal. She was day 49.

I'd seen that sickly little thing, but I didn't realize it was Lucky! (she doesn't look very lucky in that pic ;) )
Damn girl, you've sure worked some magic on that one!

but I do struggle to keep them beautiful in flower.
Sometimes they just naturally get ugly as hell toward the end, so it may not be you causing it...

Hey, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but some of the pics I posted on Tuesday have vanished from your thread...this is a little problem that the admins have been working on, but I don't think they've quite got it fixed yet.... Anyway, if you need me to re-post those pics, just let me know.
And if anymore pics randomly vanish, let me know about that too, If you would!

I know!

See I don’t believe that. There is no such thing as ugly woman, they’re just poor and can’t afford the things that give us faux fake beauty like good clothes, hair care products, skin cream, concealer, lipstick, etc.

I think with the right nutes and training I can make a Tangie pretty and I guess we will soon find out ;)

Please post again. I’m not sure if I’ve missed it or not.

Like people, some plants age well, some plants, not so much :)

It was just the one of the carla training pics, and the plant tiedown (skewers and wire) pics.
I can re post if you need them, but I'd like to wait till the staff gets the "vanishing pic" bug fixed, then
I might be able to put them back where they belong in the original post.

Hi @013

I wanted to update you. I had every intention of taking off Luckys petticoat but a member noticed my Tangie grow and pointed out I take too many leaves off whilst growing. I can not tolerate yellowing leaves. So they recommended I keep the petticoat and nip the leaves as they brown, because the bottom will turn first and this will stop me going full trichotillomania on them.

Hi @Carcass :)

I‘ve tended to my girls this morning. Am I moving the stakes down the shoot as it grows? Tbh I still can’t see how they will turn into plants like yours, but I sure am loving this wire skewer method. I really hate the thought of branches tied down. The hooks feel like a gentle hand rather than a shackle.

They are looking a much better colour. And their new growth is nice and healthy :)

Carla S

Don‘t forget my plants will never have the exact neatness your yours because they’re clones and not seedlings. So they grow higgldy piggldy.

And should I take that stem out?
