Total 1000W CFL Auto Grow

Looking sweet mate great u gone straight into final pots.ur babies will thank u for this;) top work mate.merry christmas.perfect looking set up.best of luck;)

I am loving my CFL grow, low heat, high output, cheap, replacements everywhere, proper spectrum, efficient. I don't know why you switched.

QuickOne auto end of day 6 leaves are looking like the want to curl up a little so raised light to 15".

I feel like this is more fire safe, I'll get dense nugs, and just looks nice and clean.

Edit: I'll be glad to see you're grow zero glad to have you here!

Edit 2: Raised light to 15" I think the bigger plant is telling me too the leaves are wanting to curl upwards ever so slightly....

I'm still on the fence about posting my grow pics. But so far the results are impressive. It's a passive wick watering system so it is always at the perfect moisture level. I don't fertilize either since the soil I use has enough food mixed in for nine months of growing. I added a CO2 bottle and a fan as well. Between that and the timer it's a pretty boring hands off grow. I mist a bit but I could walk away for weeks and it would be fine.

nice start there !! :)

Keep us posted. :thumb:

( as others have indicated) ~245W total actual output, but that should be enough for a small grow.

Just a thought...
*** I might consider using car HID (6000K) which are actually fairly inexpensive ( on Ebay) and surprisingly more efficient than larger CFLs.
4200Lm (45W actual) ea x 5 = 225W @ 21,000 Lm total. ***

6 (55W) HIDs would allow 270W actual with 25,200 lm.

The entire system can be run from a 30A 12-15Vdc PSU.

That would bring a whole new meaning to "Auto Grow"! You can get some nice reflectors too. I wonder what spectra those car light bars are? Those are crazy bright.

The light bars are typically use High power LEDs, and they are fairly mono-chromatic ones at that.
33.33% Red 33.33% Green 33.33% Blue.

Car HID lights are essentially mini-Metal Halide lamps, they have a very slight amount of xenon, but the overall spectra is identical to what you'd see in some of the higher end MH lamps. 6000-8000K bulbs are useful. :Namaste:
The cheaper ballasts are DC output. That's just fine for our use. More expensive ones output AC / even pulsed DC. We don't need those. too expensive.

If u ready dropped a litre and a half it should all be wet already.just water when u see thr top layer slightly dry.seedlings dont really drink alot.best of luck mate.how big are ur pots;)?

I use that light, they suggested 18 to 24 inches. Just finished my first go around with 600w hps and 2 reflector 96s. I got some really frosty dense kibble.
