Subbed. Looking good Krypt.

Two things I've learned so far in my journal with Mars Hydro lights...

1. To get pictures to always come out the right way round, use your phone on it's side. With an iPhone keep the volume buttons at the bottom. I'm told Android phones need the volume buttons at the top, but no matter what phone it is, it needs to be sideways.

2. The lights don't get hot so it's easy to get them very close, BUT, the colours don't mix below 15" above the plant. Growth on mine took off at 22" (MH recommend 24" veg, 18" flower. My veg sweet spot is 22")

Hope this helps. I'll be watching with interest.

Thanks for the sub and I'm glad to have new people. Thanks for all the tips I'm going to read your journal mate.

subbed your plants look great man :goodjob:
you could always give a good cal/mag (npk 0,0,0) apparently under the leds they eat it up like crazy

Glad to have you here Spart!!! Got my other reflector on order should have it this week so each plant will have its own light! Next time QuickOne (bigger plant) needs water I'll add in cal/mag and give it .5L of water. That was my first of the 2 plants and used too much soil not enough perlite, so it doesn't drain fast. :( hope all is alive I'll be doing some LST tonight/tomorrow probably. Thanks for all the help!!!

Hi Krypt,

I'm new to this myself but I've been reading a lot.. when leaves curl that way they are trying to expose more of the stoma under the leaf to transpire water. If they curl the other way they are covering up the stoma to preserve water. This could well be a sign of too much water. Can you get the fan over the soil and leaves to help dry them out a bit?*

*disclaimer: I have no personal experience of this, just done a lot of reading.

I have moved the 2 fans that didn't rotate they just constantly blew air in the same place away from the plant the light is 18" height and the leaves are light green and brown tips. Any help? Leaves are all dark green with maybe a brown spot on every 3-4 leaves.... But just the very tip of some are light green and 2-3 are brown....

I think it's potassium deficiency from what I can tell...

hmm, I don't see to much that is wrong here.

Definitely a little brown spot here and there isn't a big deal. You plant is looking pretty healthy :goodjob: . Keep the ambient humidity up a bit more. I just have a feeling you've got drying out from heat of the lamp. a hand mister will help
keep the leaves from rolling up. Also, a big problem in dry areas are spider mites. They can cause spotting on your plants. once they get into your plants it will be very difficult to get them out.

just a little info, Potassium deficiency turns the entire leaf amber - yellow color, with some red-ish splotching at the centers. It's pretty ugly. This can burn the edges of the plant brown.

This is quick one, I had some heat issues hit 91 once I put second LED light. I have got a new exhaust fan and it's about 75-77 constantly for the 20hrs of light.... This plant still has its new growth that is really dry/crispy/skinny.... Any thoughts? Humidity is low 26-35% normally I'm getting something to raise it today but what's going on with this plant? Any help?

In the morning im going to get a humidifier to raise the room humidity. I had 3 hot days 91degrees and since have got a new fan and sitting around 75-77 all day which I'd like to be a little warmer, so I'm going to get a fan controller and turn it down a bit. I have raised the lights tonight to 24" on QuickOne and 22" for SweetTooth as she's starting to seem dry also. I'll update with pictures of the room and new equipment tomorrow. It's a big change in the tent to say the least..... Also going to run a heater when the lights go off to try to keep my room 70 lights off and 80 lights on. I think that paired with 50% humidity will give me better room environments and happier plants.
