Tomula's Living Organics In Soil With Olla Irrigation Perpetual Indoor Garden

Thank you Sara, the old light sure does it's job. The tent is a win for the money!

Pretty plants Tomula! Fat leafs!! I like the Shark too but the B.Dream, wow!!
Im not sure what "Mainlining" might mean in Europe but here in the states its another name for IV drug use. Probably why people dont like the phrase.
Im going threw all kinds of crap with my youngest right now and keeping it all bottled up! Looks like hes not ready to live with me quite yet.
Great Day Tomula!!!

Thank you, I have high hopes for the BD I bet she will surprise us after all. I know what mainlining means I call this manifolding as you make nice construction :) Good day to you too! :thanks: :cheer:

So, everything is smooth sailing. I still got the problem with the coal in filter as I did not find time for it. Odor control gel for the win :) The flower tent is shining with bud all over and the Shark with Olla has thick stem. What a specimen, still building roots and preferring the olla side a bit. I love how she grows. The limitless water supply does wonders for her. So far very good and I cannot w8 for the Herer to finish, still few weeks to go. The Blue Dream is not smelling that much and the Shark with Herer are one sweet girls. I wish you can smell and see what I do. Enjoy as much as me! :thanks:

Blue Dream- packed and fluffy:

Hi Jones, first of all, thank you for the kind words of acknowledgement. Second, I think that would be super cool, I'm so interested where are you gonna take it. I suggest you try the pots out, how much they leak when you pour little water in them. I think it would be better to test more types of pots to get the one you like, my is wet after 5 minutes, and then very wet at 7-8 (tested it for you, and me, and everyone to see). But it can be different with size and pressure and then afterall the plant will suck so much water it won't matter that much. I think faster wouldn't hurt at the beginning. Plus I think the plant is not drinking all the time but there are like a waves. She is gonna grow so massive root ball I'm 100% sure.

I want to put two ollas for one girl, right next to the two branches after first top, in line when viewed from above. Or have them in two triangles, putting the ollas closer to the plant. I think plants are similar to us in their own ways.

As I'm stoned and thinking about humans and plants, I have come up with a concept of olla based irrigation net, that would have better surface area and not take up as much space from the pot. With continuous flow of freshly oxidized water. I will post some drawings in an hour.

Here are my points to the olla. Might think of something else I did not said. Thank you and I'm looking forward to your pics. :thumb: :Namaste:

Ok, so here is the idea: You make the ollas, so they are a like a pipe, then just hook them on pump and reservoir (stream lake). Those pipes will be super easy to make. The water will then transport much more oxygen to the roots and soil! Voilá! What do you think?

I also noticed the terracotta pot is still quite wet.

Very interesting setup ill be watching this project closely.

That's May, I might be looking for some pottery classes at that time. I want to learn how to make and paint some plates and vases. I also need some place to burn the terracotta properly. That's coming later, now I know two will do better and then 6-10 tubes will be great! Depending where I want to take the roots :)

Very cool fountain rock system planned out man. Do you have a plan to counteract any algae that may build up on the rock?? Also in my head i see you having a sucker algae eating fish in that lower tank and maybe a different fish kinda like a mini aquaponics tank.... plants look great brother man

Thank you for the input Spart, appreciated! It needs to be in dark, good point. And a cleanup once in a while. Maybe. Like a dark cave. I do not want to have fish for indoor, but definitely for outdoor. But that's a long shot. :thanks: :Namaste:

Love the idea of the sucker fish in the tank like an aquaponics setup tht wud be really kool incorporated with the terracotta tubes he makes im really interested in seeing where he takes this

I know its not terra cotta, but they make that 'soaker' hose that could be buried in the planter with the pump on a timer. Pulling water from a large fish tank would provide great nutrients for the plants. They love fish.

That's song of the future, but I will sing it loudly when I can! Fish pond is fun. But I want it outdoors because you need less equipment and can go large with proper flora around the pond, trees even. :high-five:

I see this working nicely with the fishwater, but it needs to be from a well oxidized tank and with decent PH. I want RO system (Reverse Osmosis) so that I get PH'd water without many minerals and put those I want back into the water. And some simple tank with a pile of rocks for the water to pass through. I really like some sea stones those are very pourous and white, so they should be calcium rich.

I fed my outdoors fish water from a bowel of a Beta and the plant did not like it and never did it again. Just my experience.

Yes I know man. It can be finicky sometimes, the whole fish breeding. I got worms, so that is enough.

Really informative grow journal. My fascination for manifolding made me take up a seat. :goodjob:

Welcome Blight-B! I'm glad it helps ppl to see and learn new things. Note, that side lightning for the offshoots is very helpful for manifolding as you get bigger branches after top. I got more stuff in my signature. Here take some popcorn  and watch the show (comedy so far :slide:) More passengers are always welcomed! :Namaste:

Hey there Tomula... great looking flowers you have going. Everyone of them looks super healthy. Great job... That BD is getting close I can almost taste the test buds! :thumb:

I water from the btm up with the AutoPot system and I think its from England. They still part of the EU?? Oops maybe not? Wait...I lost track.

Cool that you're doing it your way. Thats pretty cool and you can actually make an automated version of what you're doing not that you're going anywhere anytime in the next month!! hahaha... yeah I'm right there with ya buddy.

Increasing your Brix with minerals is a great idea. Look into how CLAY works with soil and minerals ... there's some really really good clay from Europe maybe even VERY close to you that you can incorporate into your soil mix. We live on an extinct volcano so we have silica in spades. I'm always on the lookout for wild found worm castings which contain the local clay and microbe mix...

Volcanic rock dust and Limestone/oyster shell flour and sediments from algae that form rock formations ... all these are local to everyone and are very beneficial to plant & human health.

Think about growing veggies in soil with lots of nutrients and how healthy we become from eating them. The same is true for the plants. The benefits are that humans are the final consumers. Eat/drink/puff healthy nutritious foods/cannabis = healthy humans.

You're rocking the indoor gardens my friend. KIG

Hello bob! Thank you! I got the idea of minerals from rocks when I thought where you get clean water and what came into my mind was mountain spring. And I want to imitate just that. I like the Autopot system but I feel the olla and the fabric pot are gonna make much better rootball via air/water pruning. I mean she is so thick right now, almost like my flowering Herer and half the size when she went to flower. Just great. I will be close to local cave system in several weeks time, so I will pick some limestone there for sure.
Clay from local valley with creek maybe, there is river close by, but that is dirty. And I will get me some water pump for sure. I need some big reservoir with fresh running water. Heck, I can even put some phosphorus and potassium rich stones in there, but with caution. I see the wild enrichment of microbes very good idea. I put some forest soil into my tea and I have much better fungi life in there.
The BD is about 30% milky so not quite ready.
I grow on 4 year old compost and I think that is one of the keys of nutrient availability. Good stuff, the light will bring on the challenge! Haha, thanks so much for the encouragement and inspiration, appreciated! :thanks:  :Namaste:

So new update. I got mold on one bud, the airflow in the tent is bad with that many flowers. I cut the branch, not quite ready, still needs like week minimum. The rest looks great though. The room needs the floor so much, in two months there will be new one. So pause after the small Shark is needed. She grows mighty thick. I had to supercrop her, the stem can be pinched easily but the leaves are hard as rock, haha.
Well too bad with the buds but that's life with a wet place to grow in. The first Herer started to foxtail and is getting thick. The Blue Dream is just chilling and not doing much I think the light is too high now. New lights in April, yay! Here are some photos for you! Enjoy!

First the mold :( and the untouched part of the bud. Have to say the Shark is mighty in trichs:

So far so good and always something new to overcome, the fans were adjusted and hopefully I will get better airflow somehow. Duh.. :) Thank you for watching and do not worry it happens sometimes! :thanks:  :Namaste:

Sucks about the mold. :( Im pretty much shutting the flower tent down this summer. Lost a bunch last year to mold. Had to scrub everything down bcause it gets everywhere. The rest of your grow looks amazing though! The leaves on that Shark with the olla are just screaming 'success' :thumb:

Hope youre mold free now, wont be long and youre home free.

I hope there are no more places for the mold to start, I upped all the air there as much as I could, it should be better. I mean there was condensation on the wall under the bud and no air. There won't be more than 2 girls in the flower room in the future, it is too much now... :)

The Shark is amazing strain. I bet she will be like 12%/12% THC/CBD maybe even more, she is that frosty. I couldn't tell the mold from bud at one point, haha. I think I'm safe now. Scrubbing is in order after this session, right after the Herer finishes. I think the shark will be ready in a week I really do not need any amber on her, given how indica dominant she is. Thank you mouser and have a great day! :Namaste:
