Tom Smith's First Indoor Grow With Autos 2017

With autos always start with 1/4 strength. Never go over 1/2 in full bloom unless you know she will take it. And yes cal mag is needed more with led lights

Sent you a message DemonicAngel to your profile with a question.

Do you know of a good basic indoor set up for someone starting out on a budget
I like the mars hydro, i think you can get a 300 model for about 80 bucks new or a 400 with veg and bloom for just a little more. They also have some newer reflector models that are suppose to be good. You can also get a 3by3 tent for around $100 or so. The mars hydro 1200 is the only led i have ever owned but i am very pleased with it. It would be well worth the investment.✌

Depends on what you cal budget. My setup is on the lower end and looks like this:

32"x32"x63" tent: $75
4 Mars Hydro 300 Old School LED lights: $280
4-5 gallon fabric pots: $8
Dyna Grow Foliage Pro and Pro Tekt: $35 (will last more than 1 grow)
Duct Fan and filter: $145
Ducting: $15
Tower fan: $20
Seeds: $45
Thermometer/Hygrometer: $8
3 sets of light/filter hangers: $18
PH Meter: $14

If you get proficient with it, you can yield 12+ oz per grow with that setup.

12+oz would be a really good yield on an autoflower

Tom - I decided to keep reading about that Mag + Cal to the point it was giving me a headache. I called Advanced Nutrients support and they said I do not need it with my LED grow because the 3 part system (Micro, Grow, Bloom) already contains everything to keep the girls healthy. Now its time to smoke a fattie to get rid of that headache haha

Finally got my calmag in. Directions say for most applications use 1tsp ( 5ml) per gallon, does that sound about right.✌

Never used it and don't plan to. My nutes have it included and haven't seen a need to add extra. I know other in other brands it is left out and you have to add it separate.

Seems to be huge if you are growing in coco & not so much for soil where mixes already contain nutrients

Either way, good luck with your Calmag and I hope your girls take it and dont reject it with burns or anything else. Solid work so far my friend :)

Unfortunately, for my sub $700 setup, I've probably spent $1,200 through trial and error and buying unnecessary stuff. I've had a lot of fun along the way. Guess that's where the other $500 went.

Took me a while to figure things out (mainly feed related), but even in a small 32"x32" tent, with the right seeds, it is possible. I had a freebie Dinafem Critial + Auto which yielded around 3.75 oz. I think with the experience I've gained, 4 of them now might be close to a pound.

Just call it an investment in your Horticulture education! :Hookah:

It smells when you open the tent? That wasn't written on the packaging!!!! LOL kidding, I cant wait to get that smell, hope it doesn't last long though once I close her back up.

Thanks Tom, yeah it is starting to come along now, the girls are getting more leaves, I just hope I don't screw this up for my 1st grow, my nutrients will be here tomorrow, but still 2-3 weeks away before I feed them any.

Keep up the good work buddy, and go get yourself a nice carbon filter to help filter out that air before its removed, it's not all about the smell :)

I have the same filter. I've had it about a year. Once the current grow hits flower it will let me know if its time to change the charcoal or if I can squeeze another grow out of it.

I am using that EXACT same model right now in my tent, they say it is reversible, I never made it that far yet
I also added the 1 X 4” iPower inline exhaust @175 CFM
And I added Active Air ACSC Duct Fan Speed Adjuster

My tent is 2.5 x 2.5 x 5.3 so @175 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) is awesome but not needed for my tent. I have it on low power and she is removing air perfectly. Wont be able to fine tune until I start smelling anything, I may have to crank it up, but for now its doing the job replacing air

All purchased on Amazon

Thanks man i will definitely be checking that out. Nice price.✌

I am loving my biggest ww that i topped on day 15, she is going to be very bushy. The other 3 ww are really taking off also. Think i will like this strain of auto. They are no signs of flower so far, im on day22. I hope they will stay in veg at least two more weeks or more. Maby. I will get a decent yield off or them.✌
