Tom Smith's First Indoor Grow With Autos 2017

On my OG and Sour D grow I pulled 369.7 grams in a 7 sq foot space. 7sq ft is .650321 of a square meter. So that would be 568 gr per square meter. The seed specs were 475-525 per square meter for the Sour D and 550 a square meter for the OG. So I outpaced the projected yield. The other specs are at the beginning of my journals. Thanks for all your help farside, my ww hasn't got any worse so maybe she liked the little grow nutes i added in for her.✌

Just ordered a mini microscope, be here Wednesday, i didnt get the 420 scope, i went with the carson (mm 300), it has good reviews and only uses 1 AA battery. Here is a pic of it, and also a pic of tricomes someone put on a review, looks like it will work for what i need.✌

Thanks farside, im going to try another line of nutes next time, don't get me wrong fox farm has done great for me so far, i am really wanting to try advanced nutes, it is ph perfect and they have alot of other stuff like bud candy, overdrive and some more. The main thing i like about it is the ph perfect part, i am going to get me a good ppm meter for my next grow also. I like your feeding style, i kinda believe the same thing, i don't think you really have to add a big bunch of nutes, just enough for what plants need, i will stay at a lower ppm (around 600 or so) and see how they like it. I can't wait to harvest a few of these girls so i can get some cash together and buy some things i really need, im working on a tight budget till then lol.✌

I don't think you have to spend a lot on pH and PPM pens. Both mine were cheap ones from Amazon. If you do go that route for a pH meter, I prefer the super simple one with only the one decimal place display that you adjust calibration with a screwdriver. The on off switch is on the top. I have one of the two place decimal displays that has push buttons on the front. It also auto calibrates when thay button is selected and placed in test solutions. It's fancier and looks nicer, but mess up and hit the auto calibrates button while you have it in your nute solution and your screwed! It messed up one of my grows bad with that little error. The screwdriver adjustable one seems to stay calibrated well.

I had thought about the Advanced Nutrition pH Perfect line briefly for a while. What bothers me is that their bottles are watered down quite a bit. So even though the price per bottle is similar to other nutes, you have to use a lot more of it compared to other brands. Do you see a theme here? I'm a tight ass always weighing costs...lol. After a little time, I can be within .1 pH with just about any solution I mix up now with my nutes without even using a meter. You just learn where your water starts at and how much each part either raises or lowers the pH. At my lowest feed rates I know I need .6 ml of pH down. My highest grow feed mix only needs .2 ml (like 2 drops per gallon), and my bloom mix is spot on 6.5 without any adjustment. Needless to say, even at .6 ml per gallon, my quart of pH down is going to last an eternity.

Thanks for the info farside, i have seen the ph pens on amazon that you can adjust with screwdriver, i will pick me one up, be alot easier than the drops for sure.✌

I sure will, one good thing is it has a lifetime warranty if anything happens send it back and they will send you another one, it also uses the AA battery instead of the little round watch batteries and it was under $15, hopefully it does a good job.✌

I've got one of those too. Getting it focused and getting the right distance from the bud is a pain in the ass, but it shows you what you need to see. I have a higher powered Jewelers loop too but it's not strong enough for me to see the tricomes with my old eyes. I've even got a USB microscope but the one like you just bought gives the best view between the three styles I own.

Cool, glad to hear it does good, it was between it and the 420 scope, i picked the carson cause it had alot better reviews.

Looks like this. A bunch of merchants sell the same model. See if you can find one that comes with the little test solutions packets to verify it's calibrated correctly.
