Thanks man, I'm sure it will... I mean, it kind of depends if they take biopsies.. Which they probably will, if they see any strange tissue from crohn's/inflammation. Ya know, just making sure it isn't cancer.
I don't remember the major crohn's medications increasing colon cancer... All I remember is certain forms of lymphoma are more likely. But I'm off all that shit.

I've been fishing once, on a lake in western-Kentucky. I hooked a turtle... Then saw some water moccasins and was pretty much over it! Being from Hawaii, poisonous snakes were something I only understood could kill you.
Its weird... I've been on this island 20+ years... Only been on motor boats and jet ski's on the mainland (North & South Carolina, and Kentucky). I've been kayaking here, thats good fun! Real waves are FUN...

Who would want to be woke for that? I am due to get a colonoscopy but am afraid to get it done because they probably won't put me to sleep. I know I have some stomach issues in the past and probably gotten worse. But then I think some of the meds I take does a number on my stomach regardless if I eat with meds or not.
When I had my colonoscopy done I was knocked out. I didn't even have the option. Not that I would have taken it!!

I had one of those procedures. They gave me Versed. It doesn't really knock you out but you won't remember a thing.

I had one done once back home and they knocked me out. I don't remember anything but being very gassy. I am not sure how things work now but I will be asking my doctor about it next time I see her.

You said it girl. But with the Benzo's you wouldn't remember. They essentially make you black out.
Meds are harsh... I feel for you. But the scopes are necessary to establish your insides health... Or get one of those pill cams, I did that twice. Pretty cool to watch the video after... Much less intrusive.. But if you have severe inflammation/ scar tissue, it could mean obstruction.
They use the older medication that knocks you out for me... It's called propofol, or "milk of amnesia" ( as its the only IV anesthetic that is a milky white). With the more modern drugs, you may not know you are knocked out... More in another response.
Here we are, versed! A strong benzodiazepine. I don't react well, I wish I did... You can wake up in major surgery and have very little chance of remembering/ caring with it in the mix. My whole moms side reacts strangely to certain benzos.. We found it I did to Versed in the ER... They gave it to me to calm me.. To put a NG tube in... I don't remember much, but apparently I fought them getting it in. Good times.
Yea, they put in gas during the procedure to open you up. Not comfortable. It never bothered me to much, usually soreness was more an issue. I hope they give me fentanyl before they start... They always did at Tripler,and it really made you just not care about what was going to happen. It would be really scary without a trained anesthesiologist on hand... You aren't supposed to feel like that normally

My Queen.....if you need it....do it...that is how they found my original cancer. I want you alive...not dead! Better safe than sorry.
I agree with OMM. If you need it you should get it. Don't take a chance.

I don't know if I really need it. I can't remember why I had it done in the first place but it was years ago. I figured I prolly need it again because it seems to me I always have some type of issue with my stomach usually very bad stomach cramps/back cramps when trying to go number 2. Usually when I eat things like certain nuts or popcorn I pay for it the next day! Or certain meds I am taking gets my stomach really upset to the point I feel like I wanna ralph, like today.

Hey girl, sounds like a scope is a good idea.. Or at least a talk with a doc'... Nuts and popcorn are no-no's for crohns patients with significant inflammation... I pretty much didn't have any for like... I don't even know, 6-8 years?
I doubt crohn's is your issue... There are lots of GI issues one can have, who knows? Maybe its an allergy you developed... Like how I cannot eat chicken! But the scope isn't too bad... I'm gonna talk about that now.
So! Said I wouldn't post.. However, they just used Propofol! Nothing else, no painkiller, no benzo, no ketamine... The lack of painkiller scared me, but honestly once the propofol puts you out it doesn't matter. Not fun, definitely not the best way to spend a Tuesday... With the Milk of Amnesia alone, you wake up WAY faster... And are much less "doped" feeling. Slight motor skill loss, but not nearly as much... Still wont be driving today...
They took biopsies, but said it looked good!
The ulcer at the end of my esophagus has gone down... I've got a new ulcer near my resection, but thats supposed to be pretty normal after a resection... So it looks like THsea has a clean bill of health! HUZZAH!
