THsea Grows Indoors Soil

Gr... The pics are on the computer, but every time I try to load them to the site it doesnt work.. Regardless if I do it one by one or all at once... It takes me to this link after it attempts to load.

Hey guys, just topped the Kauai High, she was a bit to tall... Then again, shes a bit to wide! :) this is by far the happiest problem I've had in a long time!

With her topped she's more "even" with the other four seedlings... The 2 liter airpots are a bit taller than the 4liter ones, so that helps too.

So for the seedlings... They were all kinda curling, I figured I over watered.. Dr. G is fully recovered, PE is getting there, the haze wasn't effected. The church is taking it the worst.. Still, nothing fatal! ;)

KC# 2 and 4 could be potted, just don't have the room... They were taken from a really stressed flowering plants.. So they are going slow, which has turned into a blessing.

might do pictures tonight, since I did the potting and topping and all. Peace!

I have some questions y'all... First up! Can you FIM side branching just like the tops?

The next is more of a discussion question... Having to do with strain tendencies... So, for The Church I heard she doesn't respond well to topping and FIMimg... Which OMM did, and it came out fine so who knows!... But I also just read that Dr. G doesn't seem to like it either... I read that their side branching for the two strains is more than strong enough to produce without topping.

So... The two I don't know about are the Strawberry Haze and the Pineapple Express. Anyone know how they respond? I remember in GG7's grow he did a side by side of a GDP or BlueCheese... One topped, one not... The topped one both colas were bigger than the single!!! If anyone has experience with anything I'm playing with lemme know! :)

It's kind of nice to have a few commercial strains I can actually ask about. Since the hawaiian stuff is all just ????????? mystery!

Hi Buddy. I have topped a Strawberry Haze with no problems. Dr G is an unknown for me. That plant is in it's own universe. :Namaste:

So.. Mark, just to be sure.. Do you ever flower your mothers?...Do mothers take enough excess topping that the buds will be smaller no matter what?.. And for real, thanks on the side branch topping. I thought so! I FIM'ed one lowest side branches of the Kauai High... That thing is a beast! :)

OMM, since the Dr.G has good side branching.. One of the four side branches will be FIM'ed all the way up (so on one side, every other node)... I figure its a good way to see if shes keen on this form of plant manipulation while minimizing risk.. Leaving the main cola intact, as well as 3/4's of the side branching.

The KC#2 and 4 are solidly putting on new growth now. Thank something or other, for we have more than two! I know I can inbreed with one to create a seedstock.. But I feel better breeding out of two different seeds in the same generation... Just feels right. :thumb: I figure I can inbreed the pollen donor too and see if theres a difference. Feel free to chime in! I've been reading a little of 12/12's breeding program.. That guy is doing some amazing stuff! :Love: Between him and granny, in two threads you can become your own seed bank!

OMM, we said we would write names down... How about we get pollen out of
KH and when you get around to doing C99, we breed them and call it Wahiawa Princess.. ;)

Okay, so I FIMed the PE. Strawberry will be getting it when she's big enough... I also FIMed another side branch of the KH... There is also a little non symmetrical branch at the wayyyy bottom. Its pulling out its 3'rd node now.. In a week or so I'll take that lil' sucker and stick it in a cup in my back yard... Then we can see the gender to this mystery seed.

Oh yea, almost forgot. Started training the Church. She is taking to it very well.

Man, I got plants coming out the wazoo, which is traditionally where they come out of. What? Nevermind. Ho-kay. I forgot what I was going to say... Oh, right, we're going to update the crazy line up. We have two new babies joining the grow.

World of Seeds: Northern Lights x Big Bud Automatic.. Supposed to grow for 3 weekish then flower in about 50-60 days.
&
DinaFem: Critical + Automatic... Same as the one I was going to grow at first.

As for the cuttings... KC's are doing alright. I think there are definitely 3 that will pull through, possibly all four (which again are #2,3,3 and 4). The matanuska is like, barely hanging on. I think thats all there is.

EDIT^ Knew I forgot something. The Vantage was accidentally supercropped... But it seems to be loving it. Go figure! Nothing like yours though OMM, Honestly, I'd just as soon flower it now... Maybe I should, just hide it in the back... Hehe!
 
SO! I have my last of the nutes for this grow. We're using FFOF soil, will not be using the Jiffy soil again I don't think. Maybe to mix, it doesn't have peralite and that is nice, it just holds too much moisture for my liking... But heres a list of the three er... four nutes. OC+, unsulphored molasses,(silica blast), and Organic Rx Kelp 100... The last one is a sea kelp based thing, .2-0-.2.. Since the OC will take care of my NPK I figured this would be a nice little extra without going over board... We will not be using Snow Storm or any other products this time. If I'm not mistaken, the main thing in SS is Humic Acid, which you can get from doing alfalfa tea's... Again, if I'm not mistaken! Won't be messing with tea's until the second grow. I feel we are doing enough to my poor girls.

Two Kauai Electric popped. One will be going to a friend. Finally repotted the KC#2... And we will be shifting the numbering over for the KC plants. Just subtracting one from each, since the original KC#1 never made it.

Found a nice little spot where I can put the plants during the day. So when they get watered they get to enjoy a nice day in direct sunlight. This won't be the case in flower!

I'm pretty much out of soil, but once I grab another bag of FFOF the Vintage will be repotted and moved outdoors. She will be the only one to flower outside. Hopefully she isn't kidnapped!

Pictures... When the iphone comes home I will get right on it. Even the KH, but its more to check with y'all that I topped properly... Lets see... Oh, to even the canopy I suppercropped the Dr.G, and FIM'ed a lower side branch just for fun... ASH has been FIM'ed.. Church is still loving the LST... All is good. :) The NLxBBauto still hasn't popped up. I'll be really bummed out if she doesn't.

I finally came up with a good idea for starting a little garden here (non-pot)... If it goes well, then in future grows I may put a plant or two out back amongst it.. It would be nice to put a big yielder out there once a grow...

Hey OMM, how about this for another Hawaiian cross name... Ring of Fire. ;)... and we can do three hawaiian hazes, call them H-1, H-2, and H-3.

For those you not familiar with Oahu and our Hy-way system, H-1, H-2, and H-3 are our main freeways. :rofl::rofl:

Since KC's were taken during flower.. They smell amazing. I let my mom take a whiff, her eyes got all big and just said "WOW, thats crazy smelling! Almost.. I don't know, its weird. Skunky smelling or something, but not bad"... I told her there is a strain line called Skunks, gave her a hoot :)

Lots of plants! My artificial sun's keep my tropical paradise in veg. The tent really just needs five more things to complete it... Duct fan, ducting (x2), intake filter, and my base for the CMH.

Might reconsider flowering as soon as they are in the tent.. Maybe I'll veg them a big longer. We shall see :)

Haha! Yea, I just absentmindedly cropped her... I'll let her straighten out if she wants though :thumb:.. Hawaiian Snow is one I wanted to grow.. One day, and we will compare her to other island smoke, since I'm building a little collection :).. Actually, I'd rather grow Puna Budder and try to get my hands on some PB from Puna... That would be a good comparison grow!

Hey OMM! Yea man, that Kauai High is crazy! that extra little branch is almost ready to be cut :) if its a male you can have it if you want LOL :)

Yea, your vintage is beautiful. You keep lights much closer than I do, I realized thats a big part of why yours are more bushy than mine. But I have more vertical than horizontal, and you are the other way around! :high-five: We cover the bases between you and I sir. :thumb:

I know its weird, but even though lots of these plants are kickin' arse... Kona Coffee is still the pride and joy to me.. I really romanticize Big Island smoke though. Banana Bud, and other big island strains are just ridiculous, though I'm starting to hear Maui is even more impressive... But I haven't had the pleasure.

EDIT: Hey OMM, remember when I said that I could get random Maui hybrids? I'm gonna pick up a bunch... Wont be popping them til next year most likely, but what the heck... We can just name them Maui + somethingthatdescribesit.
