The close ups, of the BUDS, are my most rare form of my Heirloom Kush, the really Hairy One,that looks like it has cotton candy sprouting all over it, it is also the one I took the most close ups of. It should be ready in another week or so, unfortunately, it was the only one I had this Year!!! I tried seeding it,but am not sure if the seeds took. Pictures 18,19,20 21,22,23,,25 are all of this particular Phenotype of this aforementioned Strain of KUSH, which is by FAR my favorite of the different Phenos of this particular Strain of Heirloom Kush. It finishes a wee bit later than the other phenos of the exact same strain, GO FIGURE!!! Picture number 25, is I believe, if I got my counting right, a different PHENO of the exact same Strain, this one is the second latest finisher, and truth to tell, I like it just as much, almost as the other two, it's flavor is sublime, Sandalwood mixed with Spice and Pepper, a very exotic smoke!!! I got my main plant that I saved for seedstock to take on a very good amount of seeds, so I know once again I will have my heirlooms all ready for Next Year, HOORAY!!! I seeded my other heirlooms, but only time will tell if I got to them early enough, or if the Pollen was still viable when I seeded. I wanted to get seeds off of My Female Hairy Heirloom, in hopes that because the Mother was of this Pheno, I might get more of this most coveted Strain!!! I also seeded up my other Phenos as well, time will tell. I also seeded my HIGHLAND KUSH, actually backseeded it, to the original Heirloom Kush that was one of it's Parents, I am hoping to get a stable Hybrid from it, as it was my Heirloom Kush crossed with a KUSH out of Humboldt County. The Highland is an awesome PLANT, but I think if I back crossed to it's original Parent Plant, I might end up with something truly spectacular. Last Year I crossed my Heirloom with Bubble-Gum, I have not tried any of these as of yet, but I plan to next Year, imagine, a BUBBLEGUM crossed with an Heirloom Kush, that makes my mouth water just thinking about it, only problem being that the Bubblegum finishes a bit late, but since my Heirlooms are all VERY early Bloomers, I expect things to finish around the End of September. UUGH, not all of my plants are Kushes, the Orange Krush is not a KUSH. it is an old school strain from Colorado, named after the then very famous ORANGE KRUSH DENVER BRONCOS DEFENSE, from the late 70's. It's genetics, from what I have been told, are as follows South Eastern Indian, Indus Valley Idica, Purple Indica and California Orange. It is one of the hardest strains to find pure, and in it's un-adulterated State any longer. I only know two people that still produce seeds and clones from it, any longer. They are very stingy in giving any of it away, which to Me is a Shame. It truly is on of the most Powerful Smokes out there, and I consider my self lucky to have access to it. I have tried to cross my Heirloom with it this year, and I hope this goes well!!! RL, did you also read my recipe to you about the FOX FARM SOILS??? I think maybe you thought I was trying to get you to read about my damn plants, which is not so!!! I also wrote you a recipe, and some warnings about the soil mixtures, I hope you read this as well. It is some wheres in the Journal)(MY JOURNAL, I THINK), just take your time, and if you have not found it, you will!!! The other plants in Rooms Hanging are also MAZARI SHAREEF(NON KUSH) and Romulan(MOSTLY A SATIVA), so not all my Herb is KUSH!!! I am surprised the GUM, did not keep your BUD WORMS OUT of your stem??? I usually use WRIGLEY'S SPEARMINT or their CINNAMON. After I swab out the HOLE with Peroxide and ALCOHOL, then I put the GUM into and covering the HOLE, I promise YOU RL, this has NEVER failed me in the Past. I grew up in SO-CAL, and Never had any problems with what you are going through!!! I grew in OJAI before(VENTURA&SANTA BARBARA CNTYS) in the ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST), so I am shocked you have had so many problems with WORMS!!! Are you growing in DIRECT SUNLIGHT??? If not, this could be a major problem, as Worms, and all sorts of nasties thrive in the shady areas. But I also understand that Paranoia down SOUTH strikes to the very core of every Grower, so I understand if you had to grow in SHADE. To bad you could not just make a hole deep enough for your Plants, so just the tops of them showed above ground, and the rest were covered by the Hole, that would save You may inches or feet depending on the size of your Containers, and just the Tops of the Plants would be visible to the naked eye. You would be surprised at how much such a simple thing like that can hide your Plants!!! I have had people walk right by my Plants that were hidden this way, and as long as you keep them spaced out from one another, they are almost impossible to see unless pointed out by You, or spotted by a very knowledgeable grower. Which happily to say is not the NORM!!! So hit me back, and let Me know what way you are hiding your Crop, I know we can lick this Problem!!! Bud Worms!!! I have never, ever seen a Garden with the amount of worms You are describing!!! I swear it must be because of where they are Planted. Well RL, I have devoted a whole page to our problem(I SAY OUR, BECAUSE THROUGH CIRCUMSTANCE IT HAS BECOME MINE,AND HAPPILY SO!!! A FRIEND IN NEED ,IS A FRIEND INDEED!!!) Hit me back when You Can RL, this Bud Worm Problem has me damn near apopolectic!!! Take Care, SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.
