Busy Busy Busy, that sums it all up!!! I am so DAMN BUSY, I cannot even go and check my Damn Mail ATM!!!Oh well, the price We Pay for independence!!! I am so stoked to see that You all are still even following My Thread, it really HUMBLES ME!!! I figured all of You would have moved on to another REALM in this weed universe, it just goes to show that loyalty is certainly a two way street!!! I thank You all for Your continued interest, even if I feel I have been less that giving in my information as of late. I know that all of you know it is the toughest time of year here(HARVEST) and I cannot afford for any F$%#@ Ups at this time, so I apologize for my lack of keeping up with everything in a timely manner. I have brought in 11 Plants so far, the house is full to the rim with Kolas hanging from hangers, on lines strung from post to post. My entire storage room is Full Up, Rafter to Rafter. My Kitchen living room and bed room is also all filled up!!! It is getting so that we cannot move around right!!! I plan on posting pictures as soon as possible, the Garden looks really strange missing 11 plants, funny thing is, there is way more left with 14 plants, as the 11 I brought in, were not even the largest Plants, just the ripest. I will take take pictures of what is left in the Garden, in a couple of Days, and I will try to take pictures of what has been brought in, problem with what has been brought in, it will not be easy to get pictures of it in all of its glory!!! But I shall try!!! Most of what has been brought in so far, are the Highland Kushes, Heirloom Kushes, Mazari Shareefs and Orange Krushes, and oh Yeah a Romulan. Sorry for the lapse in Photos, but I PROMISE, PORN IS A COMING, PRONTO!!! If not Tomorrow, then within the next Day or Two. We are having a little much needed rest. When You fall asleep, and wake up thinking it is 9am, and it is really 9pm, that says to me that it is time for a little R&R, cause I do not know what is coming or going, sleep DEPRIVATION is a wonderful thing!!! So thank you all for keeping this Thread relevant(ALL OF YOU) and Canuck Gal, how far would You have to travel to get here? I still have about $450.00 in Canadian Money, from the last time I was in Canada, if you got here, I would have to give it to You,as I could never find a place to exchange here in the US for American Dollars!!! Jimmy Cricket, tell Moms Hello, Closet Farmer your the best. Buckshot, I will definitely PM you when I get the oppurtunity!!! M8, I love YOU MAN!!! NEHPHARMER, you are so right about the sticky Fingers, in fact I cannot unstick them now, at this very moment, DAMNIT!!! FC, You are my Brother from another MOTHER!!! And Y is about status Quo, neither good nor Worse. Westblunts, Plants are a coming!!! AJAGUNLE, I love You Man, your Humor is spot on!!! Heirloom, You know what is up, no explanation needed, unless of course you want One!!! Heirloom, do you use an ACOG, or an EOTECH??? My M-4 has one of each, accept my ACOG is not run on Batteries, and is semi Night Vision Ready, kinda like a Starbright Starlight, but the EOTECH is lighter(SLIGHTLY), but since I have a BUIS, I suppose the problem is purely academical. I prefer the ACOG, no one wants to fiddle around with Batteries, besides the ACOG does not have to use the Low Spectrum Light as it comes with a regular sight built and doped right in. Sorry for all who are wondering what HL and I talking about, it is a purely in the know conversation, so please take no offense, I tend to get a little Military with HL, as I know he knows of what I speak!!! So to MIWA, THANKS FOR THE GOOD VIBES!!! And if I did not mention You on this Rant, I promise to give you a SHOUT OUT on my next Message!!! So I will be posting Porn and Stories next entrance into the Journal. I need to know if any of YOU really give a Care if I show what is hanging around the House already harvested, or is this simply overkill??? Let me know your opinions, and I will post what it is ALL of YOU would like to see and KNOW, ON MY HONOR!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!! I never got to catch up on all the reading, and for this I am truly sorry, but I feel I should just start off from this point forward, that way I can get right back into the grove of things, what say YOU??? Anyways, I want to get back into the groove, and I do not believe I can catch up if I have to go back over everything!!! Anyways, your opinions are greatly appreciated!!! TAKE CARE ALL MY FRIENDS/FAMILY, I LOVE YOU ALL!!! CANUCK GAL, HOW FAR MUST YOU TRAVEL??? SINCERELY, JAMESTHEGREEN.

I'm so relieved to hear from you guys! Thanks for the update, i was starting to get worried.

I'll check out prices on how much it'd cost to get there and I'll get right back to you. That would be an amazing opportunity to see your massive garden in person, I'd learn so much from you guys. Plus I could bring down Canadian goodies! Kinder surprise, clodhoppers, maple flavored anything, etc. lol

Hey James, good to hear from you, we all figured you were pretty busy. I can't imagine the amount of work involved in a harvest of that magnitude! Even with a trimmer machine that is no small feat! I know I would like to see some pics of what u have taken down, but don't sweat it if your busy. We will be here, there will be plenty of time after for pics. How's the weather looking, is Mother Nature cooperating with your harvest so far? Man your place must be smelling pretty pungent right about now! It must be nice!!! Hang in there man, the end is in sight!!

Very happy to hear from you!!:cheertwo:
rekon I have no idea of what you are going thru (well On a mini micro tiny scale a little bit maybe) with your harvest.
but I'am glad Y is there with you. thats the most important thing above all:)
and the fact that you got over that paragraph phase in your life pleases me to no end!!
cant wait to hear from you again my freind!

Actually FC, I forgot all about Paragraphs, guess I better start adding them again before I get called on it!!!:high-five: I do not want anyone to complain and say everything is way to hard to read!!! Now a little update on how the Harvest has been proceeding. My first Harvest started on the 19th of September, We brought in two Plants that Day, a Indica Dominant Romulan, and an Heirloom Kush. Romulans are very strange Plants, what with the Korean Super Skunk, other Skunk Cultivars, Southeast Asian and Central American Cultivars and some Afghani for good measure. I just read some info on this Strain in varying sites, and one thing I can say, is that none of them are correct(COMPLETELY) about Her lineage. Most say the Strain is Indica Dominant, I have to disagree Here. From my own experience, and Empirical evidence, there are Two main Phenos of this Strain, an Indica One, and a Sativa One. I grew two this year, and got one of each Phenotype. The Indica one, which I just Harvested, has enormous Kolas, that are extremely Thick and Fat, and have a Peppery Smell when wet. The story I have been told about this Strain goes way further back than that which is the Norm for the postings under its lineage on various Cannabis Strain Guides.

First off, I see no mention of its Korean Super Skunk any longer, nor do they mention in any detail the various other Strains that are glued into it's Mix. A lot of People have NO idea that Romulan has actually been around since the end of the Korean War, when Canadian Troops brought back it's seeds from Korea, and started a program of crossing it with the very best of their then Hard to acquire seedstock. Basically what they did was take the very best seeds from prior Years bag Seed, and cross for first, the earliest possible Harvest time, Potency, the right look, and the Afghani for Yield(The Afgahni was the last to be added to the MIX, for size ,weight, and an earlier Harvest(THOSE CANADIAN NIGHTS CAN GET AWFUL COLD!!!) The strain has been around much, much longer than the 25 years most Cannabis sites give Her credit for(WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THESE FOLKS GET THERE INFO FROM???), like a lot of stuff on the internet, it is either by Heresay, or just made up off the cuff to fulfill their lack of knowledge on the Strain, personally, I think they should just say I have NO F...ING IDEA, it would be the truth, and for knowledgeable Growers such as myself and Many Others out there, they would not look like ASSES!

So the Romulan I brought in, is going to yield WAY more than a Half Pound, which is the maximum yield quoted in the aforementioned Strain Catalogues!!! The Buds are enormous!!! They do have a very unique smell and look, picture a Kola about 3ft long, but as wide as it is long, that is what my Romulan Kolas look like. Not every Bud of Course, but the the main Kolas, of which there are many. The secondary and Third Kolas are much the the same, just decrease in size by about a third for every level you trim down. I would say She will Yield(THIS IS A GUESSTIMATION), about 3 for the Plant, much more than the Half Pound Per Plant the LOCAL INTERNET EXPERTS say it should YIELD!!! My advice to all Growers, do not believe the INTERNET EXPERTS, I know they must mean well, but in my opinion, they must either be Dodgy Growers, Inexperienced, Just Guessing, Know Absolutely Nothing about what they are talking about, but want you to believe what they are writing anyways, OR ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!:thedoubletake:

The second Plant I brought in, was of Course My Heirloom Kush!!! No other Strains in this one, just a pure Kush. She was a magnificent Plant!!! Large Dense Kolas, easy on the manicure process, and the smell(AS ALWAYS FOR THIS PHENO) was exceptional!!! She smelled liked a bowl of Thompson Seedless Grapes Wet. Makes my mouth water just thinking about Her Drying and Curing and getting ready for that BOWL LOAD!!! Thank God my Lungs have gotten better, or I think I would have gone BONKERS not to have been well enough to have tried the first smokeout when all is ready to PUFF!!! Speaking of my lungs, I spent from the beginning of August, till about 8 days ago fighting some kind of Horrible infection of My lungs. I was given CIPRO, Predinisone, ADVAIR and a Nebulizer treatment once a day for two weeks, and it just within the past couple of weeks, has returned me to Normal!!! I have NO IDEA what the hell was wrong, I mean Hey, I spent 4 Tours in combat and never got sick, even when SADDAM decided to play Fireworks with the Oil Wells in Gulf War One, and the sky was raining OIL, and I mean RAINING, not just a few drops here and there, and never had any breathing problems!!! But Man these Forest fires, and whatever the Hell else was wrong with my lungs, really played havoc on Me for awhile!!! The Doctors said I must be allergic to all the Poison Oak that had been burned, and instead of it effecting my skin, it got breathed in, and really tore Me Up. Since we live at such a high elevation, all of the Smoke, Every Morning, just happened to settle right down on top of our Mountain!!! With no wind to disperse it, I was trapped breathing it in like Mustard Gas for weeks, man it sure took it's toll!!!:scratchinghead:

But that is finally over, and I am at about 100% again, UYYYORRAHH!!! At least it did not mess with Yarrow like it did to me, for that I am thankful!!! Now back to the Kush, the first one we brought in is a definite WINNER, No Mold, No Mildew, just nice 2.5-3ft Kolas, in ascending order as I cut further into the Plant. You know what truly astounds Me about this Plant, is that it always does the same thing, year in and year out, I know I have said this before, it has it's main Phenos, but it still just amazes me that it always comes out this way, year after year!!! I expect to get a VERY good Yield of this plant, as well as all the others of this Strain!!! The Hog X Orange Krush is by far the biggest Plants in the garden, but I do not expect them to be ready for another week or two. The Orange Krushes are also very NICE, I'll include a report on everything else I have Harvested at a later Date. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I am open to any and all Questions. Someone asked me about using FOX FARM products, You know who you are, I would definitely recommend using them. Only thing is, you must figure out the right amount of soil and fertilizer to use on your own!!! I cannot state this emphatically enough!!! I have been using FF for many Years Now, but whenever I change to a new grow area, I have to readjust my soil,Ferts, amendments, ETC. For each new place I plant. This is because of Climate, amount of sun, Moisture Level, ETC. The best and most simplest recipe I can give YOU, is to get a 100 Gallon Container, 4 bags of HAPPY FROG,3 BAGS of Ocean Forest, a High Quality Ammendment that has all the things Cannabis LOVES(GUANO,EARTHWORM CASTINGS,SEA SHELLS, KELP,DETRITUS) and whatever else said amendment has in it, like FISH, SHELL FISH, ETC. You do not want WET Amendments, make sure whatever amendment you Purchase, or Make, is DRY. I cannot express the DRY part enough. because you will be adding it to soil that already has some NUTES in it, you want to make sure whatever else you add is DRY. This way whan you do your first soaking of the soil before transplant, you do not end up with a muddy substance!!! This is key!!! If your soil end up muddy, you either added wet amendments, too much amendments, or you did not get the mix right. If you end up with muddy soil, start over, nothing that will amount to anything is gonna come up from that witches BREW!!! NO OFFENSE TO MY WICAN FRIENDS OUT THERE!!!QUEENY:blalol:) Your soil should be able to be scooped up by the Handful and be able to pour through your fingers before wet like dirt, when wet, it should be able to hold it's self together, but with a little manipulation, be able to fall apart through your fingers slightly clumped together, but by no means muddy and dripping wet.

I cannot wait to post pictures, and my second Romulan(THE SATIVA PHENO) is turning the most beautiful FALL COLORS, RED, PURPLE, GOLD) it will be ready SOON as well!!! I have gone on long enough, need to get back to rest, ans take a Garden Tour. I know indoor growers will find this hard to believe, but I can go out one Day, and a Plant will most certainly not be ready, and the very next 24 hour period, BLAM!!! They are ready!!! So for outdoor groweres, do not believe the guessed at dates for when when your outdoor plants will be ready. At best it is like a Map that does not have all the terrain features marked in, and over time, you come to realize that the People that came up with the outdoor harvest times were probably indoor growers, that did not wish to admit that they had no freaking idea as to when their strain would be ready, use their knowledge as a guideline ONLY!!! You must make the final call. I usually wait till at least Half of My Crystals have turned Auburn, AND, if the Bud looks as if it has filled in properly. Another good way in conjunction with this, is by smell!!! If it smell ripe, has Auburn Crystals, and the leaves are all beginning to turn from Green to Yellow,Purple Auburn,Gold and are beginning to fall off, this is a great indicator to Harvest. Never go by the color of the Hairs, I know, some people say Harvest as soon as half your hairs turn Brown...BULLSHIT!!! I have had strains that not one hair EVER turned Brown... and they were as ripe as could be!!! So remember Crystal Color, Leave Color, Smell and over all appearance of said Plant, YOU Cannot go wrong...and remember, this is for Outdoors Only!!! Wifey and I just did a photo Shoot, so here comes some much anticipated bud porn!!! I have some dhots of plants that are already hanging, drying and curing, plus some close ups of buds still on the plants, as well as Yarrow in a few pictures, as well as what the garden looks likes now minus 11 Plants. Sorry I did not take pictures before I started to remove plants, but I had Family Here, and they did not want to wait for me to dither around in the Garden, while they sat and waited to work. Since Your from Canada, Canuck Girl, You can go and tell Your Canadian Friends that it is possible to get a Romulan that weighs well over a Half Pound, I hope this makes YOU and all Canadian Growers Proud!!! FC, CF, HL Buckshot,Gigabane,Miwa,Queeny,SB,JC,Sphinx,NEPharmer,My M8,Westblunts,Ajagunle,DPP,OMM, and any I am remiss in mentioning, oh yeah Smoke2Js, it has been awhile, but I'll remember YOU ALL!!! So now for some BUD PORN, I just hope it uploads on this Thread, if not, it will be on the next one. I took some up closes of various Buds, from Heirlooms to Orange Krushes,Hog X Orange Krush,Highland Kush, Romulan ETC

James I am excited to see the upload of harvest photos. Since you've been doing this for a Long long time, could you comment on your past experiences on caterpillars ( burrowing budworms )? Also, have you found any in this seasons harvest so far? Do you use pesticides ( systemic, or foliar sprays)? I am pretty sure there is no systemic insecticide that could possibly ward off caterpillars, and the only thing would be a good BT drenching. However, me growing only a few hundred feet from the ocean-front, foliar spraying is OUT OF THE QUESTION.
I hope I'm not jinxing your plants! =) Happy Harvesting Buddy!

RL~
