Thirvnrob's Multi Strain Seed Drawer Clean Out

Power Plant is 31 days above ground today & she got up potted. I hadn't up potted anything in a while. Since I started using SIPs I've gone straight to the final container, but I thought I'd see with my own eyes whether it made a difference AND it gives me something to do. But anyway, when I topped her, I topped between nodes 5&6, removed 1& 2 leaving 3, 4 & 5 to work with, but that lower node just wasn't going to keep up so I removed them as well rather than agonize over whether I should have

. She looks gangly now...

If you read the start of this journal & have been following along, you know it isn't going as I had planned. I'm still dropping seeds but until this morning I thought I had lost another 3 seeds but I had just given up on them too early. Two of them showed up ready to join the family. I had also dropped three more seeds last night, thinking the others were duds. They all sank right away cracked in less than 24 hours, so I'll have my hands full pretty shortly.

I'm feeling like this is a pretty dis-jointed journal, but hopefully I can get a flow established. Right now I have a Sour Diesel clone 2-3 weeks away from harvest, a pure kush at 6 weeks of veg, a power plant at 4 weeks of veg, another pure kush at 2-1/2 weeks of veg & two power plant seedlings that broke ground today. I'm not counting the 3 others until they break ground. Here are pics...

Woo hoo! I've been asked to get out of the kitchen & stay out, so I get to spend some time in the garden this morning! Hey, I've run her out of the grow room before, so...

I tied the top down & propped the lower branches up on big Power Plant.

Doesn't look good for this baby Power Plant..

Compared to her sister anyway. They broke ground about 4 hours apart...

And lastly, The buds look happier on the SD clone if that makes sense. My water meter still reads wet in a few places. I should have expected her to slow her water intake, but I seem to be trapped in a fog of cerebral flatulence some days & miss some things.
:bongrip:
This is what the leaves look like from the middle up. The bud is pretty, yes, but I'm not sure what to do about the leaves. I was also off on the flowering days. Today is day 40 post flip & day 3 without adding water to the res. As someone suggested, I'll top water the rest of the way...

The Pure Kush has recovered from the branch splitting as much as she's going to, so I resumed training her. She's moved into a 5 Gallon SIP as well & seems happy. I really enjoy lush, hearty & green plants & so far she's checking all of those boxes. She has a couple layers of EWC in her pot with sprinklings of myco strategically located, so with two weeks to go before she moves into the flower room I'm hoping to fatten her up a good bit.

🤣 this is going to be fun!

You think that center is gonna hold? How about filling it with wood glue and taping it up with duct tape lol. It looks like that canopy is going to get quite heavy #dontlosethepeg

I let Sour D dry out for 5 days & she does look better. I was going to top dress her, but there was still some left from last time - apparently I didn't scratch it in well enough. So I scratched in some & added a little less than a cup of EWC & top watered with MammothP & Calmag. She could have taken more than the gallon I gave her Today is day 41 of flower - 63-70 days expected. She could have taken more than the gallon of water I gave her, but she's slowing down now, so no sense in drowning her again...

Check out the split on this one! Sour D, yielded 9oz. I really don't worry about it too much after that...

My god they're resilient beasts!

Well...
Yesterday I unplugged what I thought was a fan, but it was a heater. :(Since the on/off indicator light is covered with black tape I didn't know it wasn't on & left town thinking all was well in the nursery. It wasn't. Not only did the RH plummet in our neck of the woods, we had a frost. According to my most reliable hydrometer the temp in the veg room only dropped to 59f. I think everything above ground is well enough established to survive that. It's the ones I expected to break ground overnight that I'm worried about (should it be "about whom I'm worried?"). It gets better. I found all of this just after lights on this morning, swore a bit, plugged the heater back in, filled the humidifiers & set them on max & went back to the house to wait for the heater& huey to do their jobs. Maybe when I was leaving the room I stepped on the on/off switch on the power strip into which said heater & humidifier were plugged. But two hours later conditions remained mostly unchanged. So I'm staying put until the machine is running properly again. The temp is coming up but it's still pretty dry in there. I've got a wet towel draped over a bucket in the expectant tent domes over the seedlings. And of course a humidifier on MAXIMUM POWER! Fortunately the flower room doesn't rely on power strips & has it's own heater & humidifier...

Labels for the win! And other than losing some germination speed all will probably be fine and dandy. :goodluck:

In this case either way is fine. :thumb:
One popped last night! The other two are still upset with me...

Power Plant is beginning to pick up the pace a little bit. The last ones I grew were pretty tall & bushy, but this girl is just tall. I love her just the same though. If I had to guess right now, I'd say I'll probably veg her a little longer than usual & see if she fattens up some. She's 5 weeks above ground & I usually like to flip 8 weeks.

This is one of the Critical Mass. I'm pissed at myself for not getting a pic! What had happened was The pointy end of the root was sticking up. I undermined the soil beside the sprout & flipped it over without touching it, then very gently covered her up, all with the little shovel that comes with sticky traps (I think). Within an hour she was pushing through. Also, I have a 2 or 3 day old Power Plant seedling that doesn't look happy. She looked fine a couple days ago...

I moved the soil I'm recycling out of the compost tumbler & into a couple totes so I could bring it inside where it's warm. Then I decided to bring the tumbler inside so I could keep cooking soil. I'm gonna need it to finish this grow journal. What had been in the Tumbler had been sufficiently tumbled, so it stayed in the totes & I started a new batch & a new round of tumbling has commenced. So any way, I was about to start the process & I spotted what looked like a seeding & lo & behold, it was a baby Power Plant. No, I didn't get any pics before I planted her. She was just lying there waiting to be found...
