Themaddabber's Hempy Bucket Bathtub Grow 2017

Just make sure you don't neem after day 10 of flower children

I don't agree with this. When I have a full-out war with the Borg Mites, and I don't spray all through flower, I end up with masses of webs and eggs on the buds, after they have destroyed the leaves.

Neem is safe up to day of harvest. Once you harvest, you can do a bud wash to get rid of residual crap.

Then I guess I learned something but in the past I've had taste issues using neem oil. Very tell tale that the plant had neem: of course I didn't wash after. What's your process? I have borg issues right now

Right side veg and left side flower?

I know you don't have time now but at some point your fans want you to blog the design of your watering ring/funnel contraption! Step by step with pics and measurements please :) As I recall, duct tape was not involved.
Nope all flower pictured. Abbie is on the ledge to even her canopy with Lilly.

I would be honored to share! It's very a very simple quick inexpensive build! I just need to verify measurements and I will be changing the build slightly to include an inner ring. I haven't had a problem yet, but it would be a more effective form of watering indeed.

Id make with all the vertical room i could

For the veg space? The pictured plants are all in flower space and will have a few feet of room to climb if they desire . Well Gloria will have even more but won't need it because, scrog. I will likely supercrop any runaway libs, and also have holes around Lilly's container for the downs. She will be trained out some tonight

There are various bucket methods of bud washing, but I just cut the buds off the standing plant into a kitchen colander, then run water through them (using the spray head) at the sink, like I would any leafy vegetable. Just enough to dislodge the crud and sweeten the taste.

You can lay them out on paper towels till the extra water is soaked up.

BTW: I always soak the plants all over and under when I spray with neem to get all the hiding places. Since i regularly spray the plants with plain water from the top, (imitating a little rain), I figure most of the previous treatment gets washed off and opens up the stomata on the leaf edges.

I actually had a whole grow almost free of mites this time around, but had to get vigilant again last week before they started invading again.

Yeah I think the cab separate from the tub is the right call for now. It'll take a little work but certianly not a lot. Lol were only talking 2 solo cups right now.... but a lot can happen in 8 to 10 weeks!

So pretty similar like you would do for mold then except that has an extra step where you take the plant right after you cut it and drench it in a bucket of hydrogen peroxide for 6-8 seconds make sure it's st room temperature.
Then you soak the plant in a bucket of room temp water for 6-8 seconds with a very very mild up and down motion to flush it all out. Then hang. Takes about 2 days longer to dry and saves about 60% of the damaged stuff as long as it's not bud rot and the early stages of mold then you can save a lot that you would otherwise chuck. I wouldn't keep it for head stash but depending on the size of the plant and the amount you have it can definitely be worth it

Dabber you have good company over here
Thanks buddy! I sure think So! It's funny you were here months back when I first started (prematurely I admit) and it was a different scene. But since I've gotten to know more people and connected with fellow Alaskans it's totally changed. Well that and the nomination certianly sparked activity. We're all about sharing great info, having fun and the occasional terrible pun on my part!

I just checked the girls. After the schwazz last night I sprayed the shut out of them with doctor doom. Appears as though when I bombed the room a month ago with their foggers I didn't eradicate the problem transformed them into the borg and now they are resilient to that product line.
I am unleashing hell this weekend.
Neem oil, azamax, water + alcohol. Tents bleached. Doctor doom every day as well.
I just painted my face. This is war now!

( seriously though pre doctor doom foggers I had a very very mild problem. I removed the infected leaves. Contained the plant for a couple hours. Sprayed it and stuck it back it before the lights went back out. Then I wouldn't see them again for 2-3 weeks. As soon as I saw an infected leaf. Repeat the process. Once in a while I would hit them all if I wasn't confident that it was pretty much only that plant. But I never had this issue. I went from no mites a week ago (bombed 5 weeks ago) and within 5-6 days of noticing I am at all out war now on a crop that's well over a pound. I schwazzed last night (which means extreme defoliation with addition of micronutrients to replace what's lost from the removal of the nutrient rich leaves) and then sprayed the hell out of them. Back ten fold since yesterday even after removing most of the colony from the loss of foliage.

I'm at a loss lol I really gotta go to town. But I blame doctor doom because it was pretty easy to control. I probably should have went to all out war with them but I planned on stopping my perpetual grow and bombing the room to eradicate the issue. So my plan backfired either that or doctor doom foggers create mutants!

Just a quick note to say that I ended up with a lot of botrytis on my Blueberry auto. I saved it in the freezer and ended up finding a method to save it and used it for canna salve which works on all sorts of things! Saved 51 grams dried. I blogged it here in case anyone wants to try it:
How to use buds with botrytis for creams or lotions.

It might even be smokeable as nothing has grown on the dried bud I saved in a ziplock but I didn't want to chance it without actually having it tested. Still, externally it works great!

Hey friends just caught wind on this awesomeness

So i missed it, you have so much activity on here I'm a bit behind. What's TMV and why did it wreak havoc on your girl?
Its a virus. Tobacco molten virus. (I think that is the acronym). Abbie has had since it her conception. It is spread genetically through pollination and such. Causes molten type splotches as well as twisted growth that yellows and dies.

I'm keeping her around for concentrates. I didn't have the option to be culling weak seedlings early on. I had no idea of be "adopting" a small tree from arctic bowl.

Mosaic . that made.me chuckle . <3

Right i did read about that when i was afraid i had mites. And yea, i believe mosaic was the M .

But i read there have been no confirmed cases in cannabis, just suspected. Are you confident in your diagnosis?
