TheBlaze's Sour Chiesel - Blue Cheese & Black Rhino In Coco

LOL!

I felt kind of bad for the little critter. What a bitch to get out of the jug though. Couldn't just pour the mix out. Eventually got it out with chopsticks. Karate kid has f#ckall on me.

Hahaha!!! My fiancee barely even noticed... even when I was waving my prize in front of her face. Its a tough crowd up in here.

Hey blaze about your carbon filter, I once read online about a DIY filter where the carbon was covered in girls tights...I thought maybe, just maybe you could replace that white thing with your fiancees tights unless you have a pair of your own lol!

LOL!! Awesome idea bud! Going to raid her cupboard tonight.

Update

11 days of 12/12

Took a few more fan leaves from each plant. Proper defol will happen in 7 - 10 days from now.

The black rhino is finally pushing out some pistils. So all is good.

Took some more pics this time.

I hope you enjoy

This defoliation stage will be interesting, I feel the leaves should remain as they are but im certainly not against trying new techniques...I hope it doesn't turn into a horror show, poor things lol! but then again I sprayed bleach on ALL my leaves on my last run, pretty much decimated all the green...now that was a fekkin disaster!

LOL! Yeah I saw that journal of yours. That was a real WTF moment! Bleach... Hahaha!!!! :jawdropper::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley: Sorry for laughing bud. At least it's in the past now and we can laugh about it now. I'm sure it wasn't very funny at the time.

I've done some defol in the past, and I'm pretty convinced it worked. I've done some more reading up on it, and to me it just makes sense. I suppose we will find out soon enough. ;-)

a small amount of peroxide can be beneficial to roots (for oxygen) but the leaves wtf. some times you need to defol to alow light to bud sites especially when they keep bushing out like mine and when space is a concern, watch my plants come back from the defol i did today i wont be surprised if i need to defol again by the end of next week

they don't look like the really need a defol some training would go a long way though

The black rhino definitely needs it, the sour chiesel less so. Blue cheese, I doubt I will take much from her. Just clean up the lower area and try and prevent popcorn bud from forming there.

It's hard to tell from the photos but the black rhino is hiding a mass of growth inside. It is extremely crowded inside there.

see how iv been tying mine down through out my journal, i just drill holes in the rim of the pot then tie branches out side ways they will correct them selves and make a 90 degree turn up

Yeah, I attempted to do that and then lost interest after a few days.

The thing is, I've seen some amazing journals with just defol creating really big colas. One journal even did topping, LST and defol side by side. Same strain, and defol created the biggest yield. I know that is not 100% proof of anything, but I'm lazy, so if defol can be used to boost yield dramatically then that is first prize for me.

it can also be very strain dependent some strains become bushy monsters without any training where another strains become single cola sticks if not trained (as you've seen)

the best results i have seen are usualy a combo of tipping, LST, super croping and defoling

Yeah, we definitely agree on that.

After 2 years, I'm just feeling my way around growing again. My last grow was a miserable failure, and I was beginning to think I had lost the touch.

Anyway, I figured out the issues from the last grow and it's full steam ahead now.
