Yeah, the LCOG's look set to be the stars of this grow. Good news, because Emerald Triangle seeds aren't too expensive. Might have to order some of their other offerings as well.

I once tried the MH/HPS routine, but I wasn't happy with the performance of the MH bulb. Since then, I've only ever used HPS.

Odd, what bulb are you using? Xtrasun has lots of blue for HPS. I've found MH to work great in veg. But I've seen full HPS grows look great too. I like having MH bulbs around though.

Now or then? Not sure on either actually. Some fong kong special. Not too much to choose from here in SA. My last bulb was the best I've ever used. It was a GE bulb. It had a bit more blue in it than the current one. I miss that bulb. Can't get another without importing though.
 
That's right, SA is not Oregon I'd go crazy having to engineer everything from scratch.

The Ushio Hi-Lux Gro has an enhanced spectrum, and has performed very well for me, not sure if you can get them down there for a reasonable price though. They are about 55$ plus shipping around here via ePray or the 'zon. I had a generic in there that just wasn't cutting it, so I went back to the Ushio. I've been eyeing the whole ET catalog too, looks like there's some really good stuff there to try out. :Namaste:

The LCOG I grew was definitely the most vigorous and cloned the quickest. I'm not sure what the differences will be because I grew the HSO version. But it is a definite winner in my book. Not as powerful as some others but so easy to grow and huge yields make up for it. Honestly some of the real powerful stuff is just unenjoyable to me.

Did you ever finish the 91 Krypt grow. I've got 2 packs of those I've been hiding for a while but can't find any finished grows.
 
Thanks Doc. This version of LCOG seems to be growing a bit like a sativa. The difference between it and the Blue Venom is obvious. Much longer, thinner leaves. Will update with a photo just now.
 
UPDATE

Day 19 and 12

Noticed a few rust spots on the lower leaves of a few plants. Hit them with some calmag yesterday morning. Other than that, they look good. Growing nicely. The 2 lemons are catching up quick. Think I will top the 4 bigger ones tonight.

I gotta find a way to fit in the LCOG into the next run. I love me some HSO gear, but after looking at the grown out plants, the ET version piques my interest a bit more. Stoked to be able to see her again here first. The BV is also interesting - can we hit fast forward on those Veggers - I can't wait to see them. :)

Right?! I love Veggers, but that button would be great. Be nice to see them build themselves though. I must have seen them somewhere or been thinking about a different strain that they both have. I'll check though and will link you in brother. :high-five: So many strains.....so many internetz :)
 
I know them feels. LOL!

I think Brightlight might have done the ET version. Let me see if I can find it.
