See what I mean about the bigger ones looking like clones.

Not sure how I managed to miss out on this one but on the bright side, I found it before harvest which is normally when I stumble onto peoples grows.

It's hard to say Sol. If you had asked me that a year ago, I would have said indica definitely. When I first started smoking, I had some unpleasant experiences with strong sativas. That kind of put me off for a while. Also, I tend to smoke at night only, and of course indicas make more sense for that. I really enjoyed the sour chiesel though, which is a little sativa dominant. 60/40. So now I'm on the hunt for easy to grow sativa dominant strains. With my next seed order, I will definitely include a few of those. Probably from G13 Labs.

Wow, Miss a couple days and I'm 4 pages behind lol! I've heard amazing things about Carnival from Ministry of Cannabis. 80% sativa with the structure and grow times of an Indica.

Just read the breeding history of C99 on brothers grimm website. Makes more sense now. That princess cut he had has mystery origins. Jack Herer mother, but no one knows what pollinated to create Princess.

They then outcrossed Princess to Shiva Skunk. Then backcrossed 3 generations to get back to a plant that showed more princess traits. The resulting strain is cinderella 99. Going to be hard for anyone to copy that. Might get close though I suppose.

From the site, it looks like he lost all his genetics and had to turn to others for the genetics. If anyone can recreate it though, it would be them.

Seems like they kind of breed the Shiva Skunk out of the C99. The G13 labs C99 my friend grew out was nothing special at all. He grew 3 Fem seeds FWIW!

Plants are looking awesome man, and geeeezz you paid 6500 for those LEDs..... Did you have them imported here or is there some place where I can go check them out? I am from Cape Town so also just interested for later stages. Would have to check out G13 too, if I got that correct regarding where you buy your seeds from?

Thanks for heads up Doc. Might give their C99 a miss then and try the female seeds version. Will maybe try G13's pineapple express instead. Anyone grown this? Impressions?

I think I paid about R5900 for the 2 LEDS bud. Also bought another 600w bulb for R420, so all in was about R6300. I bought from GThydro.

I buy my seeds from Bonza. It is a pick n mix seedbank. Not sure how you will fair with Cape Mail though. I believe they are quite paraat.

Can't be trusting these cape people..... Would be disappointed if I had ordered and then they lost the package, or the rozzers deliver it to my place personally Is the 600w normal HPS or dual spec one?

Bulb is just a normal HPS bulb. I don't believe in MH for veg and HPS for bloom. HPS straight from seedling works great. No need to waste money on dual spec or 2 different bulbs.

I run MH in my veg tent, its better for taking photos apart from that a HPS would still do the job nicely

I like MH too, but Eye and few other guys have blue rich HPS, Xtrasun which I use is loaded with blue. It works. For me, I veg 24 / 0 and do not need 1000 watts, so if I need another bulb, just get 400 or 600 MH.

I feel you. It's hard work! It's really a full time job keeping up. I just love side by side, and different experimenting! I am sure you need a break after years. I am glad I caught you on the way back.
I noticed BAR (Reg), and DR Bob, kind of disappeared to. I hope not for long!
If you know of any vendors needing a tester, I am up for the challenge!

Hydroponics here in CPT are selling the dual spec ones, but will read up more when I get to that point. I also think HPS straight, kannie pla met ander nommers
