So, my grows would go like this…
They would hit flower around week 8-9, At that time i would up pot to 5gal fabric pots from 2.5gal. I would do a 50/50 444/284 soil mix with EWC and perlite, and only plain ph’d water until about week 4, then one top dress to take them out of flower…(GaiaGreen suggests)(every 4 weeks)

I think that method was ok, but theres a serious lag at week4… i think as you stated regular feedings so there’s no lag…..

I should be ready to flip the lights in about three weeks, im LST to spread out the thriving canopy 😌 but so far so good, i’ll water just enough to trickle out a bit not the flushing i was doing, and hopefully i can get a nice broad bud loaded canopy for flower.
I like the 50/50 blend. My next Gaia run will be a 50/50 blend from start to finish. 3-6-4 sounds solid to me.

As for top dressing I use 1.5 tbsp/gallon of soil/week, so for me in 10gal pots I use 15 tbsp Gaia Power Bloom every week, which is down to every 5 days right now because this plant I'm growing is huge and eats it all.

Week 9:

holding off on flipping the lights to 12/12 until the tops bounce back from LST tie downs, and i will be up potting this week, being careful to mix my soil correctly. I gotta get some 5gal fabric pots and some Coast of Maine Stonington blend….
If you are going to purchase some cloth bags Vivosun makes some great cubed 7gal ones that fit perfectly in a milk crite for easy moving and handling. They grow great root balls and Costco sells milk crates for $3.

They also have loops stiched into the corner edges so you can slide bamboo stakes into the 4 corners if needed. The handles are stitched on really well and the cloth is thick.

Ya the weekly feeding for me was a game changer. Every 4 weeks seems like a long span lol I was doing every 2 weeks and having trouble getting all the dry amendments mixed in.

they really had a go of it early on… I did my best to kill em 💀 with bright lites and too much nutes, but as things would have it, lowering the lite volume and flushing, they bounced back, theres a bunch of bud sites, my hope is with a good “stretch” i can single out the hopefuls and trim away all the garbage lower canopy fluff. Time to fire up all the fans too😌

The humidity is spot on for flipping to flower, i’ll continue to lower the RH as the weeks progress
They look happy and healthy and are going to be some big girls in a couple of weeks! I would start giving them the 50/50 2-8-4, 4-4-4 now if your flipping in 3 weeks so that way they will be ready to roll.

End of week 9:

Well, i got very industrious today, headed over to my Grow store to get some supplies. They were out of Stonington blend, so i picked up a bag of

I also got some AC Infinity 5gal fabric pots, a bag of (5) were like $20 so i got em. They are a little taller than my usual throw away ones so i mite just keep em for another grow. They were out of my usual cheapies, these guys have sturdy handles, nice touch

Im hoping my mixture is correct, i mixed up 10gal of medium, soil EWC and perlite, GaiaGreen suggested 3table spoons per gallon, so instead of 30 tablespoons i split it in half a cup of 444 and a cup of 284 since im going into flower by next week, once they settle in and look ready. Once they have 3 weeks of flower, i do a massive cut back or lollipopping and then they are on their own….

Of course my boy was there to help out, he’s great company, this is usually a 2hr affair up potting.

All settling in after a nice watering, i left the lites at 40dli m/600PAR for now until they get acclimated to the pots and soil…

Looking forward to the Stretch 😌😌😌

Week 11 in vegge

This has been quite a grow so far, i did my best to kill em with harsh lites and toooo much nutes, but as it goes, they are weeds, and very resilient, they had quite a setback which accounts for the xtra long vegge.

Today was pre flower semi lollipop chop, i have learned that while it seems harsh, some lower leaves and branches gotta go. I did some LST with tying branches down. I try to be patient as theres no real rush to flower, i wanna make sure they rebound from the chop. They are shorties, but there are enough bud sites available on all the plants…
