This is where im at and everything is humming along nicely. I seemed to have been too caught up in what the dial on the fold8 was doing instead of the values, so here we go, the DLI mite be a little high, but im gonna leave it here and see how they respond.

The pots are lightening up day by day, my guess i might water 💦 tomorrow morning or afternoon. Fully watered 5gal pots are pretty heavy, so at this point they are close to being ready.

The gnat fly invasion seems to have come to an end, the plants seemed fine, but the little bastards were everywhere, now all stuck to sticky traps☺️

all the numbers seem in place, plus or minus here and there.

If you have an iphone there is an amazing app that got reviewed on youtube by a number of qualified reviewers comparing it to the Apogee equipment. Its close enough for me to use it. Photone

Par values are a realtime reading, and DLI is a 12hr or 18hr computation that the app does to let you know what that par value means over a 12hr(flower) or 18hr(veg) time…..i think 🤔
 
Did some watering this morning, looks like a gallon of water fills a 5gallon soil filled pot.

With the DLI and VPD managed they look healthy and happy.

I wanted so bad to do a major defoliation of lower branch’s that would make nothing more than popcorn buds, but my fear took over and im just snipping large fan leaves here and there, im hoping to see buds forming by weeks end. I hate to snip off branches that look like cola sites….

Chime in on pruning please !

Overcome you fears 70s. You'll be glad you did!
 
I agree with GDB. I hate to get rid of bud sites too. It helps me to count the bud sites I'm keeping. Then I feel better about getting rid of larfy bud sites that really aren't needed.
 
get rid of the bottom third. the top two-thirds is where most of the production occurs indoor.

I did it, i cleared at least the bottom third, and all the small branches, i was concerned that it was the first week of flower, but its done !

They are stretching for sure, im trying to raise the pots of the shorter ones so they all get the right amount of lite intensity.

My DLI is still 35ish, watts are 425, Par 800ish. I set my dynamic humidity so it doesn’t run away….

Thanks for the support about defoliating, im glad its done before the trellis goes in and im stuck with what i got 👍🏽
 
so, i’ve been recouping in my growroom after my dental crown work, which turned out quite well. A buddy stopped by to sample my first grow. We smoked a killer joint and shot the shit for awhile.

I swear in the time from noon til now 5pm they grew a few inches, i gotta document this stretch, its amazing

That's a lotta' stretch in a short period 70s. Maybe it's the novocain! :laughtwo:

They are climbing upward though! :)

I seem to be watering every 3rd day, about a gallon of water 💦 each.

The DLI is 35 and the par is between 750/800 The lites are at 60% with the watts 425.

Green and happy no red stems like last grow, i think once they stiffen up and go red/purple they dont come back….
 
Watering is my favorite morning Growing activity. It’s relaxing, my cat usually joins me, i bring my coffee, usually take a puff or two off a doobie😁

They are taking about a gallon each, they are in 5gal pots, they are really reaching in the soil, about every other day i water.

This Wednesday will be the end of week2 of flower.

I still worry whether or not im giving them enough lite, the DLI is roughly 35 anfd the Par is 750-800ish, everything points to that being enough without CO2 needed.

Ide say thats enough especially with yours at 60%.
