i cant guess why that would be except for the power bill... roots need oxygen and this also helps keep the water from getting stagnant.
here is a shot of the root system at the harvest time from the undercurrent system.... def. seems to provide what the plant needs!
i've seen this system around, the only thin i don't like or get - Why so much hydroton??? when most of the root mass sits in the water, why so much disposable medium to clean, buy, change out, etc. . . thats prob why this guy is using RW on the top. . . another medium I cant stand. lol.
if I bought that system I'd figure out a way to put tops on those big pots and replace it with a small netcup. a lot more enviro-wallet-effort-friendly.
p.s. if its for stability, just tie the suckers up like pit already has to do anyways. rather use a little string than all that hydroton.

I like D.W.C. I use it in my veg area. And the results are amazing!! The roots are white as ghost and are big as hell.I definetly would not use a sh*tload of pebbles to hold it in place. I've used the 4 inch cube in the net pots, w/ caps for them. So the only reason to add the pebbles is to just keep the cube in its place.

So ive looked through like 30 pages for that sentinel ebb and gro set that was posted here a little while back but can not for the life of me find it. Do you Pit have any idea of about what page number it might be on cause Im at a complete loss. Thanks, sorry for the inconveniance.

I think each module holds like 5 gallons of water. the net pots have a cloth mesh in them if I recall. I've heard great things, but with that much volume, it would seem more suitable for trees, yet the modules are rather close together.

Hey Pit, If you put glass on your reflectors, and vent fan/hoses, do you think you would still get burned leaves like that? just wondered if you think that would be worth the effort

it only happens on the 1st stretch, they are slowing now, happens to me every time, burm a few spots, then it slows and its all good
