The VipersNest Continuous

A couch and bigscreen in my grow room... ahhhhh yes... wouldn't that be a perfect setup!
I can see it now... "Honey, can you go get me a fresh bud from the cure room?". And, of course, the obligitory response "Screw you ya lazy bastard. Get yur own... and grab me one while you're at it."

Cheers!

I cant stay in there to much due to the lights/white paint etc...gets hurtful
and those movers are attracted to implants in my body....always. creased my head multiple times......bless tempered glass

doing different strains from the same res how do you manage finishing times and the final flush? Are all same flower time pretty much?? Thats one thing that keeps me from doing mulit strains off the same res.

I dont have a great answer B . IMPROVISE.... we got 2 8weekers and 2 10 weekers. we have a few ideas on finishing them this way..Im gonna PM you bout that anyway. You know we think outside the box

LOL..all i can say is ditto..Shes tries to match me dollar for dollar when she goes shopping. I say go ahead just leave me in my room shut the door n dont come back til you go get me something from the hydro shop. The funny thing is she ALWAYS does. The owner is one of my buddies so i just tell him what i need and when she comes. He knows just what to do. She went and just got me more roots excelerator cause she bought a new purse.

its only fair. sounds like this is the way it should work. the funny thing is, my girl will go shopping and buy grow supplies just bc she wants to be a part.

Hardening Off

24" now.....they just went under the big boy lights 3 days ago. when they are "hardenened off" we put them at 10-12"

Can u explain this concept? I've read numerous journals and posts and this is one of the 1st times I've seen it mentioned in my short time here. For those that don't know what this means and Y some growers do it, can u explain Y u are hardening off ur plants PiViper? Thanks.

well I may be misusing the term for some people but Ill keep it simple.
when I started gardening outside I would start my veggies inside I would put them outside for an hr outside where its cool/windy etc and getting full light
then increase the outside time gradually till I transplanted. I was "hardening off"
my hydro grow is similar in concept....my seedlings were grown under a 434w T5HO. I cant just slam 2000 watts on them with the lights too close....even with movers. after a week or so ill lower the lights....hence "hardened"
:peace:

this doesnt mention cannabis but the concept is the same....dont stress the plant if your going to severly change their climate. I learned this 30 years ago from my family
going from 434w to 2000w is somewhat severe IMO. also going from plain water to 1200 ppm is severe. keep the lights high and the nutes low in the beginning. Then lower the lights and raise the nutes.
It works for me

I follow this to some degree.

Pit Viper. Your def makes perfect sense. I start my plants on 6500k CFL's and as they begin showing signs of bud, I gradually replace 6500K bulbs with 2700k to soften the change. At the same time I bgin adding low doses of nutes to their feeding, to supplement the added growth they are experiencing. ^5 to You and your excellant journal. Helps us newbies get a better start on growing and increase our knowledge and understanding of the plants and various grow methods. My hats off to you.

I have a Manchester Terrier and he will take a bite of the plants when im not looking....he once pulled a fresh seedling out of a bucket.....so my dog guards and partakes.........he,s ah stoner.....lol
