The Quadsquad Thread: A Community For Quadlining

I say go for it and next time try nodes 3 and 4 and see what kind of differences you see.
Cool...that's what I'll do..I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a definite reason that nodes 1&2
wouldn't work.
I'm glad I had a look at this thread, looks like a really productive way to train the plants....
Looks like I'm joining the Quadsquad !
Thanks much for the responses !

Looking forward to seeing how you make out with this grow and I’m sure you will love this training method! It’s a lot of fun and gives proven results!

Hey there #quadsquad! :ciao: Just wanted to have a braggy moment, I just harvested my first quad and it’s hands down my best plant yet. Blackberry Kush

I'm not sure about the tallest ones in the middle. should I be training them out a little until the lower colas catch up in height?

I started a 2nd grow trying mainlining and worked great before I made them all go belly up. So I restarted from seed and started my Quadline attempt. I had some fan leaves that caused some of my limbs to snap off like a Barbie doll arm and sadly they don’t go back on as easily. Still I have 4 plants that aren’t doing badly and can’t wait to flip in a few weeks to flower.

Fruity Pebbles, Black Domina, Gelat.OG, Cinderella 99 (my star pupil after 38 days of vegging)

Step 1 done, Now I suppose I wait a few days to top. Plants are 18 days old.

Ooh I like the look of this technique. Looks like it gives a nice manageable structure. Seen some tremendous plants there from everyone. I've been ehmm... Sexlining I suppose you would call it for a while.
Same idea, keep them short and stocky under a CFL to start with. Top the 4th to give 6 mains then tie them down into a 6 leg cross.
6 colas goes straight to 18 colas then the maths gets a little scary. Profile pics an auto I done that way. Done the photo version of it that way too and it was 50% bigger in size but same yield.
Got lots starting up just now so I'll do a my way Vs this way on 2 smaller plants and see what happens. I'll chuck some updates in here once I get started.
Got lots of wee experiments about to go on. Gonna do a side by side of auto v photo on 12/12 from seed too.
Got lots of spare seeds so might aswell keep myself entertained waiting on the main crop :)

Wow, am I happy I found this thread! Here are a couple of my girls from my current/first grow. Just started their training. Depending on how things go, I'll probably top them again for 8 mains. These are both day 22 from seeds. I also put the top cuttings in Clonex, then Jiffy pots - they're doing well so far. No pics of these, as that's not what this thread is about.

There are 2 more girls in this grow (both are Grape Ape) that have been topped, but the branches aren't long enough to start training yet. I'll post pics of those at a later date.

Hey strain. In that first pic, looks like the top branches could be tied down a little closer to the stalk. Looks like where you have it tied right now is making a little arch in the branch. That could lead to the ends slowing down their growth possibly. And as far as the tall inner shoots, just train those out towards the empty spaces to level out the canopy. That’s what I would do anyway. Lol. Cheers brother!:passitleft:

well its official,

Right on man!! :high-five:
Just an FYI, there is a group comparison grow that includes the Alaskan purple from Seedsman, if you wanted to see a bit about how it grows.
