The Purple Experiment

She's still drinking, but its slow. Idk i feel like I'm just wasting time on it, but at the same time I've come this far already. I can't decide
Maybe clip a tester bud to quick dry and see where she is?

there are trichs on the plant, some of them are amber, but not nearly 5-10% I guess I'll let this plant go another week or two. It did just get an upgraded light, a spider farmer sf 3000 I got on black Friday deal, maybe it'll enjoy the added bit of light. That replaces the two vivosun lights I had in this tent, and adds 50 watts of possible power to the tent.
I'm just really excited to start my hempy bucket grow, I prepped two buckets today

Do si dos will be coming down in the next day or two. Honestly its dependent on when my seed starter tray comes, I want to start my hempy grow. I had made some "upgrades" to this tent over the last week or so with a new light and ventilation system scored with black friday discounts. Well the spider farmer light I ordered, which was the "same" link I used for the light in my other tent got here and its an updated version. Cool, right? well sure except that the newer light controller doesn't sync with the @VIVOSUN grow hub, so I've lost control of the light timer. I have a light from mars hydro coming today that looks like it has the same ballast design as my older spider farmer light. Hopefully the grow hub can control that light. I also upgraded from a 4" exhaust fan system to a 6". I think that this system is pulling too mush air out of the tent, but that will hopefully just require some fine tuning to get right. All in all I'm ready to end this grow and start fresh. I'm thinking what really started to do this plant in was my humidity levels. The humidity in the area plummeted out of no where and I dont think this plant was ready for it. I didn't have any way to add humidity in a controlled fashion. I think I have that fixed now with a dedicated tent humidifier but that just went in today.
Here is my grow hub output report for the past week, it doesn't look good.

I'm hoping the humidifier will help me get this tents conditions back under control, but we'll have to wait and see.
Thanks for hanging out! Cheers! :roorrip:

The Mars hydro light does in fact get controlled by the grow hub, so that will be the light for this tent from here on out. Its an FC-E3000 300watt light. The next grow in this tent should really enjoy that light.

The do si dos is down. She's a mess. Everything is brown and semi crispy. I've determined though that my issues were humidity related, the plant had started to throw some green growth in the couple of days since I put a dedicated humidifier in the tent, but it was too little too late.
You can see in the bud closest to the camera that some new green was being pushed out. At the same time though on the left side of the picture the branch/buds were extra crispy as they were the closest to an oscillating fan. I don't expect to get anything really smokeable off this plant, but its hanging to dry so we'll see.

Since this plant seems to be the worst out of this experiment, I'm soaking my remaining two do si dos auto seeds now so that they will be the focus of my first hempy bucket grow. I'm prepping the rockwool as we speak so tomorrow after the seeds have soaked over night I'll pop them into the rockwool and get them started. I've never started seeds in rockwool before, do I need to pretreat it with any nutrients? I have it soaking in some 5.8ish ph'd water now.

Once this grow gets started I'll drop a link in this thread.
Thanks for coming along on this experiment with me! Cheers! :roorrip:

This plant is still drying, it would make sense that one of the worst plants I've grown this year gets some of the best drying conditions I've had all year too :eye-roll: but what can you do. I'll make an update to this journal once I trim and weight it
