The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

:ciao:Hi my sweet Sweetsue, just making a quick visit to the garden. I miss quite a bit of these posts trying to keep up with my subscriptions, your dark devil looks great, kushtie has done serious glandular secretions, hoping that's the case for yours aswell. All Hail the Dark Devil :adore: but in a good way :)

And then... :high-five:... Round 2 begins :yahoo:

Goodluck with the fresh beans, may they be blessed with the love of the sweetest of Sweetsue's sweetness and bare a plentiful crop for you to enjoy. How's the Brownie stash these days? Lots of hugs for you :hugs:

KiG my dear:green_heart:cheers

Good morning Snidrajsed. :hugs:  Always good to see you. Yeah, it's easy to have those subscriptions get out of hand. I've pretty much given up on keeping up with them. I can't unsub because I care about them and having that massive list of notifications there doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Now I scroll down and decide where I want to visit in the short time between study breaks and the real world life I force myself to include in my days.

I've been out of anything to make brownies with now for a week??? Maybe a bit longer??? I've lost track. The studying's been a great distraction. I roll out of bed and start back into it immediately, and force myself to stop when the grow lights click off at 4AM. However, I've a generous friend who's going to get me some to tide me over. By tomorrow night I should have a new batch of brownies. * deep sigh of relief* I feel very blessed to have such generous friends that will keep me supplied with superior homegrown so I don't have to go looking for inferior product on the streets. To be honest, I had no plans to go looking and was prepared to just lean into it and get through.

I just forced myself to leave the study hall to get these beans in the dirt. :yahoo: I tried something different this time and soaked them in aloe vera juice instead of water. Hopefully that'll improve my germination rate. Alright, time to get the deed done.

Woot! New babies on the way!

:circle-of-love:

I certainly hope so Heirloom. :laughtwo: To be honest, this is the hardest part of growing for me, only because of the exorbitant cost of seeds. Even though so many of mine were gifted or won, it does nothing to diminish the angst of waiting for them to sprout. This time I'm trying to cultivate an attitude of joyful expectation instead of cautious hoping when I look at them. Intention is a force all its own and I'm channeling all the cosmic forces I can for this run. This is my chance to get my personal stock ahead of the game.

Round Two Begins

The LOS no-tills get planted right beside the current occupant of the pot, if possible. The harvest will open up the light access just at the right time. I got really excited when I pulled back the mulch layer in the tiny closet to get at the soil and came across a batch of worms breaking down my mulch layer. :yahoo: Positive signs of a healthy community. This pot gets the next DDA seed, of course.

image10032.jpeg

The Crossroads gets treated to the companionship of the Lamb's quarters, which I'll be cutting back later today, and the benefit of the biochar in this pot.

image10034.jpeg

The final four get split between the different soils. Strawberry Blue will follow the Auto Jack Herer, so it needs to be started in a solo cup. The AJH blocks too much light to plant there before harvest. The Azura Haze will follow the Fantasmo Express, which is still in darkness. I decided to plant in a solo cup and take that initial time to get a decent mulch layer and some living mulch going in that pot while the AH gets started. I'll spend that first two weeks getting the pot ready for the seedling. Carnival and Bubba Kush are the next in line for the HB run.

The LOS strains got the hole dusted with ProMix powdered mycorrhizae and the kit strains got dusted with Roots!

image10040.jpeg

I'm going to germinate them this time under the LEDs and see how that goes. If I want to add CFLs I can suspend them from the ceiling and drop them right above the seedlings. They're under the Advanced panel, because at flip the plants get switched so that I'm flowering under the GOD. Icemud tells me his harvest under his GOD panel was his tastiest harvest to date. :slide: Ooooooo..... am I excited. :yahoo:

Round two is officially underway. Cross the fingers and toes. Here we go. :woohoo:

I'm feeling like it might be time for some breakfast. :laughtwo:

I forgot to share, I've been drinking the lemon and ginger tea exclusively, aside from water, for a month now. Add to that my continuing practice of mindful breathing, and I've had some startling results beginning to show.

For one, the mindful breathing has calmed my manic emotional expression, something I hadn't considered a possibility since I've dealt with it my entire life. It's been over two weeks now and, for the most part, I've been able to stop the rush of emotion at the start and relax back into the present moment. Absolutely amazing to experience.

Aside from that, it's helped me gain control of some nasty habits, compulsive eating among them. Although I eat a fairly decent diet, I'd had a weakness for chocolate that's haunted me for over a decade now, and was instrumental in getting me up to the 239 pounds I was before I went back to consistent Callanetics practice almost three years ago. I appear to have conquered that compulsion as well as a couple others.

Today I weighed in. Down three pounds in the last week and now sitting at 176.2. I've reached advanced level practice of Callanetics, so I'm beginning to burn up fat reserves, hence the dramatic drop. You should see what that translates to in the mirror though, because with Callanetics, every pound you lose looks like you lost two. :slide:

Susan reborn. It's been a long time. I'm feeling very excited and very much in awe at the rate of flux my life has developed. Just had to share that with all of you. You've been holding my hand through this healing process, so you should share in the joy. :circle-of-love:

Your garden is as beautiful as you are Sue :hugs::hugs::hugs: Congrats on your next round of girls. I, too, know the feeling of the state of limbo in between lives, so to speak. I also know what it feels like to give everything up and move far far away. I have a feeling your patience that you've learned through gardening will help you get through the limbo and on to your next chapter in life.

You always say the perfect thing Noob. I'm so glad we met. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

:welcome:Daily Update: Day 58 & 60

You already know seeds got planted today, so let's peek in on the rest of the crew. :battingeyelashes:

The photo tent. I'm thinking as soon as I have replacements above the dirt these two are ready to go.

A little bending and tucking to refine the canopy on the CBD Critical Cure.

image10047.jpeg

Still no signs of thirst with this incredibly drought-resistant CBD Critical Mass. I can't believe how this plant conserves water. I'd think this would be an excellent candidate for an outdoor grow, wouldn't you?

image10049.jpeg

A little tucking on the Critical Mass on the way out.

image10050.jpeg

The Auto tent. Nothing much going on in here today. Just plugging along.

image10051.jpeg

image10052.jpeg

The Dark Devil Auto continues to make me droll every time I look around the corner. :laughtwo: Today the autos get another application of the essential oil foliar. When I planned to do this I was considering using the oils in a drench. I've since rethought that decision and went with a fine mist foliar, being careful to keep as much as possible off the soil. I can wash it off the plants, I can't wash it out of the soil. The fine mist is doing the job nicely.

Thanks for stopping to join in the ongoing celebration. I hope to get some free time to roam later, but we have some exciting stuff going on in the study hall that I'm still trying to get back into, so the reality is I may lose myself there. We have our first batch of oil being tested this week and that gives me goosebumps. This was one of my hopes when I started the project, that we could inspire the testing of the oils and share that knowledge with the community as we search for the best ways to produce the most medicinally potent CCO.

Can you tell I've become obsessed? :laughtwo: It's a good thing. We all benefit from the search. There are people fighting to live out there. It feels good to be a part of the answers they seek.

So get out there and increase the universal vibration of love by spreading more joy. You're so good at it by now with all this practice, eh? :battingeyelashes:

:Namaste:

Great stuff about the health [zand callanetics fitness. Really great stuff.

A thought on ginger and lemon tea. (Sorry if I mentioned this before.)

If you purchase fresh ginger at the grocery store (I do) always break open the ginger root and look at the color. Yellow is best, but look for a gray or discolored ring just under the surface. If you see a gray ring, DO NOT BUY THAT ROOT. The ginger has absorbed something from the soil, often heavy metals or other unhealthy things. Ginger cleans and absorbs toxins in the human body, but it also cleans and absorbs toxins in the soil.

Now back to your regularly scheduled growing :)

Wishing you the best of health.

Ginger is just the most intrusive plant in the world. Put one in the ground an let it ride for a year or two... you'll have ginger root for you and a small city of ginger loving friends. Be sure to plant it in an area you don't care about because they will be growing in that spot forever... they're so hard to eradicate. They produce a small edible fruit bit late in summer... yummy natural sugar hit!

OH DAMN!
Catching up on your thread..... Those DDs (yes, I'm childish enough to enjoy a double D reference) are just so pretty!

:laughtwo: Good morning Tead. :hugs: LOL! I'll have you know my double Ds thanked you for the childish reference. This was my first post read this morning and I'm still laughing.

Ahhh.... , Gosh, I've missed your irreverent humor. Been meaning to catch up with you too. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

At 12:30 I open the armoire and chop the Fantasmo Express. I set an alarm so I don't forget. :laughtwo:

Back into a tent. I stuck the pot under the GOD for now. There's more space in here. At flip of the photos they all change tents anyway. I'll topdress with some EWC and plant some clover. The pot gets regular drenches just like all the other no-tills. It's more than just dirt.

She's not going to be much by weight, so here's hoping she's a great buzz.

A bit of lunch and I'll get the daily update posted.

Harvest: Fantasmo Express, Day 61

The deed is done.

i'm not a big horror movie fan either.. but that one was just strange enough lol. my favorite part is Dennis  "Pancakes!"

I forgot I had these already loaded in, so let's do this now. :battingeyelashes:

Daily Update: Day 59 & 61

Not much else going on today other than the harvest. I do need to document that I gave the autos their tortuous essential oil spray late last evening. I'm getting used to the smell. :laughtwo: I've a feeling this will be more beneficial with a photo. There's just not enough time with an auto to make that much difference.

The photo tent. Critical Mass is still holding on to her moisture in a way I find kinda awe-inspiring, to be honest.

image10089.jpeg

image10090.jpeg

The Critical Mass has finally begun to alternate the nodes. Time to flip, so as soon as I can get her drenched properly I'll do that. She still needs the next TransWater before we get to that critical Energy that precedes the flip, so she's obviously going to be staying in this tent for a while. I can't hold the Critical Cure back much longer and her next drench will be that Energy, so we're within ten days from her flip.

image10091.jpeg

The Auto tent.

image10092.jpeg

The Med GOM 1.0 isn't getting any taller. She's just paying more attention to this GOD panel than she did for the Mars-Hydro panel. :laughtwo: Her big fans are going necrotic at a pretty rapid rate. She's close to her own harvest.

image10093.jpeg

The Auto Jack Herer is bulking, but little scent and still no signs of any trichomes to speak of.

image10094.jpeg

image10095.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto (Day 59) Look at this baby go! :slide: This is my best attempt at this strain yet. Kushtie has me wishing I could duplicate his results, but I know that's not going to happen, at least not this time. Build this soil up a bit more and play around with some additives and foliars and you never know. Maybe one of these harvests will surprise me. :battingeyelashes:
