The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

I just finished up the last bit of that delicious AJHxAA. Sad to see it go, but OMG, was that fabulous! I enjoyed the buzz all day yesterday, into the wee hours of the morning and all the way through my morning Callanetics session and my gardening chores. Lucious, bulbous calyces that crumbled into one hit each. Wow! I sure hope I can get one of these last few seeds to pop. If not, what a sweet ride. :laughtwo:

I'll need to get stock up to where I can have some longer storage possibilities. That was nice.

Daily Update: Day 45 & 47

Let's start off at the photo tent, shall we?

Time to top her. The tallest side branches have now reached the point where they stand above the point I plan to top.

image9336.jpeg

image9337.jpeg

I threw the top in a cup of water and set it out of the light. Why not?

image9338.jpeg

A bit of tucking and she's good to go for today. I'll keep this up until everyone has reached the same height.

Fatasmo Express caught my eye on the way out.

In the auto tent that Lamb's Quarters needs to be severely trimmed.

image9344.jpeg

Better. I cut right above the soil surface, so the small piece still attached will continue to grow. Now the Med GOM 1.0 will get more light and not feel so crowded.

Auto Jack Herer looks so healthy today.

image9348.jpeg

image9349.jpeg

Since I had the trimmers with me........

image9351.jpeg

Got a nice mulch layer out of that too. All non-productive growth is now removed.

On the way out I remembered I wanted to comment on how HB these leaves on the Med GOM 1.0 appear to be. They have an outstanding luster to them. This is the no-till pot with biochar in it. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next plant does in here.

And her pistils are beginning to change. She's going to be first in the gate from the look of it.

image9354.jpeg

I added 1/2 gallon of water into all three SWICK reservoirs (DDA included). Tomorrow I'll check levels and top them off.

Dark Devil Auto (Day 45) is quietly bulking up.

And that's it for today.

It's 3:20 and I just now got hungry. Whew! In a creative wash these days and I need to remember that food is a necessary part of the self care plan. :laughtwo: My Callanetics session left me on the hungry side and I'm headed out to the river for a quick meal I don't have to make myself. Then it's back into study mode. Working on a rudimentary understanding of chemical pathways so I can make some sense of Pharmacokenetics. Yeah, I actually know what that sentence means. :laughtwo:

I love learning. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm gonna be spreading joy while I'm out there. I hope you'll be doing the same. There can't ever be an excess, so get out there, spread some joy. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

:Namaste:

I've had excellent luck just planting a top that size directly into soil
2 for 2 or 3 for 3 - I don't recall.

Thank you for that Rad. I think I'll plant it tomorrow. I don't have any rooting compound in the house. Thought Dale had some around here, but if so its hiding pretty good. Did you dip yours in rooting compound?

Hiiigghhhhh Suueee!!! Loooking greeaatttttt!:volcano-smiley::volcano-smiley:

Ditto. Did it last year in a pot outside. Surprised the heck outta me. 2/3 rooted and they weren't even protected. It was mid summer.

EDIT: No rooting hormone. Just snip and stuff.

PotChimp does it all the time. He just carelessly jams 'em in the soil whenever he trims up his plants. They often sprout right in the pot. :slide: He's even had blooming cuts root that way. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Excellent idea. Thanks for the encouragement guys.

I dug out a cupful of soil, sprinkled some roots on the surface, cut a fresh edge, plunged it carelessly (the Chimp may be onto something with the careless attitude :laughtwo:) into the soil and watered it all in.

Let's see what happens.

I dropped her down inside the auto tent.

I had the camera in my hand and the DDA was right there. This is right before lights on. Natural light.

She smells incredible. I better plant more scallions today. LOL!

The Chimp is. More often than not we over  them and cause our own problems.

Morning Sue.

:circle-of-love:

I'm beginning to learn the wisdom of casual neglect in cannabis cultivation. I'm also beginning to wonder if we're not too coddling with our charges. Reading Graytail's update post last night made me think again about how we'd benefit from figuring out just when in the development sequence it'd be best to wound or seriously distress them and work out some techniques to help the process along. Duggan's a master at supercropping, a form of this distressing, and those whiteflies Graytail battles have had the unexpected benefit of increased potency in the produce. I've seen it myself in my own grows. It's the reason I'll be spraying with essential oils. Maybe we need to become adept at the gentle art of scheduled torture. :laughtwo:

Afternoon Sue all is looking good over at your garden I see

Good day to you welshpony. I'm trying not to peek in until they've really gotten awake. The Auto Jack Herer is a slow starter, and she'd like a decent picture today. :battingeyelashes:

Strange you say that, my auto has been a bit slow to start to... hmm....

I know the feeling im not in work today so just want to fiddle and poke them more than I all ready have today haha
