The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

I'll need to time her just right so the daughter doesn't have to do more than one, possibly two waterings while I'm gone.

I had a buddy do a watering (no nutes) while I was in Boston.
I didn't hand him any challenges. Left him a 5 gal bucket of PH'd water.
I had some bright green growth for a week, but not asking my buddy to play with nutes was a very wise choice.

This is all I need to do with the daughter. We have an agreement, I grow the plants that temper her anxiety but I try not to give her the responsibility to care for said plants to avoid the anxiety that arises in her when I do. It's kinda counter-productive to have her worry over something that I grow to take the worry away.

All she'll need do is water the hempy. Mr Am4zin left a friend in charge of his garden this week and they took a challenging turn for the gardener in charge, who's now doing his best to keep panic under control. I need to check in on him.

Oooo.... The brownie just kicked in. :slide:

Heya sue,, cheers to ya,,

Funny that the first time I wrote '2017' this time was on the label on one of my plants,, guess we be cronic maybe, tho I should only speak for myself of course, ha

My brand new calendar is in full use as well, every day so far has writing, my daughter was visiting last summer, she is a photog, and she took a messa pics of our flowers,, then she snuck home and made me a beautiful calendar for this year, hanging fine in me labooratoory

What would I do without a calendar in there,, oh ya,, i know,, i would forget, haha

Hey sue, please, you mentioned a bit ago, re the volcano voporizer, about bag number six, or something similar,, reason I ask is all of the literature I have read so far talks about four bags being maxed out perty much,, but that is not true, as you mentioned, depending on many circumstances of course, but six or seven bags seems standard more or less, but no less, or more, I guess, ha

Just curious about what you know teach, is all, research past four bags seems lacking

Lovin it tho sue, indeed,, dutty too, and dutty too too

 I missed this yesterday nivek. The information on the volcano came from one of the classes I take over at Green Flower Media. The information they present is fairly current. I know they have recent information on the use of a vaporizer, and I'm pretty sure that video is available to anyone who goes browsing. I pay a monthly subscription that gives me open access to the streaming classes they run on Thursday nights (tonight's is on cannabis use during pregnancy). That info came from one of those.

I'll take a look at my notes and see if I can track down some better data for you.

Shes looking good Sue :)

Thanks nhteatime. Good to see you out and about. This is my second time with a hempy and I'm still learning to feed with bottled nutes. I started her on an experimental process that did her no favors. It's much easier to look at her now. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I have to ask it guys...... Do any of you ever shake your heads in wonder at how consistently I manage to pull back from disaster and then roar out into success? :laughtwo: I stood in there looking at Emerald, just stunned that she's bouncing back like this. :slide:

Volcano bag limit,
What I have found is if I use good bud I will get 4 or 5 of the XL bags if I start with a setting of around 370 and increase the temperature about 10 degrees with each bag.

If I use trim 1 or 2 bags is about the limit. The interesting part it that the vapor is nearly as good as good bud, it just runs out quicker.

My thoughts are that the oil evaporates at a steady rate and more oil takes longer for it all to cook off.

Isn't there a way to create an automatic watering system in the event we have to leave town for a period of time?
I've heard of a method where you fill a 2liter bottle with water and as the soil dries it feeds from the bottle. Anyone heard of this ?

Indeed there are many methods of water while away. There are the auto pots bobrown14 uses. I use blu mats connected to a upside down plastic bottle.

I have toyed with the idea of a 2 liter bottle upside down in the soil. My idea only and never tried. I would drill 2 small holes in the cap. And turn it upside down in the soil. About inch or so deep. I don't think it would last long.
Sometimes you see those upside down bulbs for watering in garden centers I guess the same principle.

I dunno:hmmmm:

I water with a one liter bottle with 3 small holes drilled into the cap to give me a slower more even top water solution. I just dont get a warm feeling of it lasting long enough while I am gone in an upside down sort of way.

keltic had some good ideas. There's also the option of setting up a SWICK reservoir. We've had growers leave their pots on a SWICK for a week with no problem.

A little treat for nivek.

Hi sweets. Just curious. Those buds look dark. Are they?
it is late, can't sleep, so it could be me eyes. Just curious.

Good morning keltic. :hugs:

Pictures taken in the kitchen in the evening hours take on a darker hue because I have a wall painted beach ball yellow that reflects the color and creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. Not all that good for showing off true color though, is it?

Just for you, I went out and took a fresh shot in natural light.

The smell is amazing!!!

Duggan and Sue are going to love this, but mostly Duggan.

I have been following there adventures with Doc's kit. Well, I needed to mix a batch of soil any way. So I decided to order a kit from Doc and give it a test drive.

I am going to Albuquerque tomorrow in search of Pro-Mix and some odds and ends.

I have a little over a cubic foot of EWC (2.5 bags). Is that going to be enough to mix up a 60 gallon kit?

Yesterday I had the garage and grow room's power upgraded. The power was off for about 6 hours, no big deal. I reset the analog timers. Only I did not restart the AC. About four hours later I checked and the flower room was 118. The veggie side was around 100. It killed one plant that was not doing well but, the rest took it in stride. It would have been a lot worse if more time had gone by.

Oh Canyon...... Quick hug... :hugs::hugs:

I use a 15 pound bag of Wiggleworm EWC. I don't know what that translates into with cubic feet.

Wow! The universe looks after you. :battingeyelashes: I get a chuckle at the way it usually happens "just in time." Sometimes it takes a few days for me to see the timing clearly, but it's always there :laughtwo: I'd figure the survivors to give you more potent meds than usual. My own stumbles have always resulted in decreased yields but increases potency.

Hmmmm...... OK Susan, don't think about that too much. Lol!

Now, it's time for a joyful expression that we'll be sharing the HB path guided by Doc and his disciples. :yahoo: Hmmmmm..... I might want to start considering myself one of them. :hmmmm:

Canyon, you threw me a couple pauses there. I love the interaction around here. :hugs:

What the hell......... :kisstwo:

Hey Canyon...whoosh bud , that was close eh! About the EWC's. it's recomended to use between 20 and 40 pounds per "kit",..i use 30 every time....15 is NOT enough for a full kit. The bags i usually use are 15 pounds a pc....i use two.
All said canyon....glad your 'on board'...gonna have some fun now!

OK,...now hear this...my filter is barely keeping up with my Green Cracks...i HIGHLY recommend them for us. They are literally covered in resin and i've NOT seen anything like this in over 30 yrs. of growing. If i hadn't already started my next crop (Double Berry's) i would for sure grow another four of these...they are very special...trust me everyone...ya gotta see these things go ...FFS's. Not to mention they are finishing up ahead of schedule by about two weeks... and smell divine!!:tokin:.YEEPA, YEEPA! Anyhow , cheers to ya gang ..have an awesome night.:circle-of-love:

Thank you for the rescue Duggan. :hugs:  You deserve some reps for that one. I'd have caught it when I put the EWC back and it triggered my memory, but the daughter came by just then and we've been laughing about the election ever since.

Best line: It was like the Americans watching Brexit said "Oh yeah England? Watch this!"

OMG, they're writing the comedy for us.

Back to the EWC, I remembered I used about 25 pounds. Sorry about that. Timing is everything.

I'll have you know though, that laugh fest I just had with my daughter was so supportive of her ECS that it lifted her from exhaustion to energetic, right before my eyes. It was amazing to watch - the action of the ECS on full display.

She'd been up since 4:30 to accompany her partner and his father to the hospital for the father's scheduled surgery. Exhaustion was setting in by 4 PM when she showed up. She'd missed paying a bill she never misses payments with, caught up in the pre-surgery hoopla, and learned of the late fee while sitting in the waiting room. Add emotional discord to the mix. This was one tired puppy sitting in my living room.

The conversation turned political. She finds the public disconnect to the potential voter fraud intriguing. She realizes this doesn't have anything to do with her life, and we both acknowledged her negative view had more to do with her exhaustion than anything else.

"Go home and get some rest. Deal with everything later. The sun still rises and it won't kill you. All acknowledged truths."

That started us giggling, and she began sharing funny election news she'd seen on comedy tv and the Internet. The perspective shifted to the comedic, and how the current political climate was making it easy to be a writer of political satire. We're entering a golden age of comedy.

We laughed so hard it hurt. Lol! By the end we were rolling on the floor, and her energy levels did a complete turnaround. The ECS in action. Isn't that the coolest thing to acknowledge? That realization sparked an extended conversation on the ECS and the potential that it determines personality. Why, on a biological level, laughter is the best medicine. It's the force that causes your ECS to produce the sense of wellbeing that moves you towards homeostasis.

We all have an ECS. It runs best when we remember we're playing. Even in the worst of moments, relief is just a few laughs away.

My baby went home laughing, transformed to a woman looking forward to an evening of laughing with her man. Makes her mother smile. Also made me hungry. :battingeyelashes:

Unconditional happiness. What a horrendous price to have to pay for health and wholeness. :laughtwo:

Sue
I think you ordered your Pro Mix from the two day place. They offer a 2.8cf that is Prime shipping for a rather good price. Two bags would be 5.6cf so I ordered two instead of driving around looking for it. That is probably short for a full batch. Half a batch is enough to start and probably all that I would mix at a time.

Duggan
The EWC that I have is either 25 or 35 pound, so I should be good there.

I have smoked the commercial version of GC and it is an 'Oh yes that is a good one!'

I need to order some seeds.

Thanks for the help.
