Oh my goodness Jacob! The birthday keeps getting better and better. :hugs:  :laughtwo: I swear Jacob, those were the words I uttered before I read your greeting. Lol! I'm so thrilled you stopped by. I've not been reading every day. I walk, and part of my walk is reciting the alphabet. Life keeps getting sweeter.

On Valentine's Day I'll be in paradise. :yahoo: How thrilling that you have a cross coming on that day. I'll watch for a post. I know I won't be able to go without checking in now and then. :laughtwo: Happy holidays to you and your beloved.

Happy Birthday SweetSue. We don't know each other yet lol and I'm a Noob, well just came back active. Looking forward to continuing reading your journals. What I've read thus far is very interesting, thanks for sharing.

:welcome: 1smokeaway to my joyful journal. Glad to hear you've returned to the art. How long was your hiatus? What prompted your return? We all have a hidden history with cannabis. I, for one, enjoy hearing them.

Find a cozy spot to call your own and it'll be there for you every time you stop. Feel free to make it as lavish and comfortable as you want. The wonder of the virtual world is that the only limitation is your imagination. I figure we're really good at it because we come here and create this little world of ours.

You've caught us in the middle of a birthday bash, so not much more than celebrating is going on.

Huh! We celebrate around here every day, don't we? Cool! Lol!

...............I forgot........ Thanks Jacob. I grew Auto Destroyer. I bet yours was better, but my smoke was fine indeed.

:passitleft:

Ooo.... You have a journal up and running. I'll be by in a few to check it out. I'm 63 today. You much older? I can't claim noob status any longer, though I keep trying to. Lol! Now I have to admit I wasn't paying attention.

Make yourself comfortable and get to know the group. Having a journal is the best way to get to be a part of the neighborhood, IMHO.

Thanks Sue. Yep, i'm giving this a whirl. And a journal is the best way to get help so……

Got you beat by a matter of months darlin' - i'm a Libra - early oct.

Way i keep doing things, i'll likely continue to be a noob for several years

Thanks for the usual warm howdy - i'll be watching

:woohoo: More party guests!! :battingeyelashes:

Late to the party but in time for cake I hope. Happy Birthday! :circle-of-love:

There may be cake, Birdie may have left some, but there must be brownies around here. :hugs:

Dear Sue,

Happiest of birthdays - may you have a blissful day.... and rest of the year.

Take care,
Dan

Well Dan, what a pleasant surprise. Thank you. :hugs:  The next year looks to be extra-special. :slide:

A Libra eh? We should get along well. Good. I like new neighbors. Rob's quest is won one cannabis warrior at a time. You're off to a great start and have a great gallery assembled. I foresee a bounteous harvest. :hugs:

Happy Birthday, Sue !

*Stumbles into the party late and packs a bong*

 :RoorRip:

:yahoo: Just in time GG. I spent 45 minutes putting the strings of colored lights on the tree to have half of both strings go out as soon as I plugged them in. Took me less than five minutes to pull the f'n things off. I decided this is the year I stop using colored strings of lights. Too much frustration.

Now I need a righteous buzz to lose the irritation and get right back to joy. I have some candle lights and next year I'll add bubble lights and that's that, dammit! :laughtwo: To think anything would attempt to upset me on my birthday. Lol!

RoorRip

I had a dead string of lights when I was putting up our tree Sunday. The top 2 feet of the tree doesn't have lights. I took the large red bows that usually go in the windows and placed them all around the top of the the tree. It is ghetto but actually looks cool.

I can imagine GG. Wait until you see what I do with this tree. I'll be posting pictures on my Spot as I progress. My trees are one of those things I'm famous for.

:laughtwo: I'm sitting here, getting ready to catch a good buzz, and I looked up at the clock, noted that it just hit 11 PM and thought

"I wonder if it's too late to have another brownie?"

 Best Birthday Ever

Thank you all for helping to make my day so fabulous. Everything clicked today, just what I needed, just on time, everywhere I turned. It was almost magical at points.

I hope watching me be joyful, as I celebrate another year of loving and laughing and learning with you all, has brought you some measure of joy too.

Share it. Openly and easily. I'm so thankful you're my neighbor. :battingeyelashes:

SweetSue's Looking For Volunteers

I know I stand in the company of some of the finest cannabis cultivator's on this site, and I know some of you have overstock, if such a thing is possible, and having seen some of your stashes, it might be. :laughtwo: It's all in the perspective, after all. Lol!

Believe it or not I've been high all day. Not just high, but kinda stratospheric. :cheesygrinsmiley: So when I popped the DDA into the oven about 90 minutes ago, intending to decarb at 245 for 30 minutes it shouldn't surprise you to learn that I "forgot" to set the timer.

I'm not really sure how long it's been in there, but it's got to be at least 90 minutes.

Hmmmm..... I seem to recall I did this once before, back when Dale was still alive. Anybody remember that episode in SweetSue world? What I remembered was how it potentiated the cannabis and the high was sweeter than ever. Hmmmm.....

Of course I tried some. Surely you're not surprised. :laughtwo: Well, let me tell you,..... Whew! This is beyond the stratosphere. There was a moment at the 5th hit when reality shifted.

When this happened in 2014 I mentioned it, commenting that we couldn't afford to risk trying it again. Dale needed the meds too much to run any risk of running out. We were so full of hope....... Anyway, B A R tried some of his - 90 minutes at 245. Blew his socks off, but he also had limited supply and I don't recall him trying again.

Who's up for an experiment? I realize it's all subjective in the end, but I have a feeling about this ladies and gentlemen. I need volunteers. I've wondered about this all along. I'm gonna have to roast more DDA now, 'cause I'm raiding it again. :battingeyelashes:

Class notes: The class I watched tonight was incredible. Inflammation of the gut is directly related to inflammation in other parts of the body. As far as we can tell, inflammation is a root cause of just about every disease you can think of. Attend to your bio flora. Don't let them take your appendix either. Turns out you needed them after all. Imagine that, the medical community that decided your appendix was useless was wrong. Your appendix is the repository for the gut flora that are used to repopulate when your gut has been ravaged by disease or sickness.

The most important way to reduce inflammation, after tending to the bio flora, is to bring the body back into the balanced ratio of healthy fats, omega6:omega3. The class was a wealth of information on how to achieve a healthier balance and strengthen your ECS. Anyone using cannabis for medical reasons has a deficient ECS. Using cannabis alone will give you nowhere near the healing potential and symptom management you'll get if you add some lifestyle and dietary additions or changes made with the health of your ECS in mind.

Our fatty acids are out of whack. A tiny bit of background: Omega3s are the building blocks for the ECS. Your body needs a diet with a 1:1 balance of omega6:omega3 fatty acids. Our typical diet is now at 20:1 omega6:omega3. It's omega6 that contributes a devastating blow to your body's defenses against inflammation. Want to be inflamed somewhere in your system, thus inviting disease? Throw too much omega6 into your diet. There ya go. :battingeyelashes:

You see the implications?

What shook me the most was the direct link between the imbalance of omega fatty acids and the presence of schizophrenia. Apparently, all psychiatric disease can be traced to inflammation. All disease can be tracked to inflammation. Tension. Pressure. Hmmmm.....That's why cannabis works so well.

Sorry guys, lost in thought. :battingeyelashes:

The other thing I wanted to mention was the importance of including omega3 from a sea-based source (fish) vs a land-based source (plant). As Brian stated, we came from the sea and we need those fatty acids to run properly.

I'll try to get this information put together soon. There were some very practical ideas on making yourself healthier and assisting cannabis in leading you back to homeostasis. I'll have open access to the class tomorrow, so I can firm up my notes and add a bit of color and beauty to the words.

The last thing I wanted to mention was about tumeric. If you are challenged with chronic pain and you're not already taking tumeric I suggest you acquire some. If it's a supplement, make certain that's it also contains black pepper extract. If using a whole plant medicine, be sure to include black pepper in its preparation or have black pepper with it. Tumeric works directly with cannabinoids to reduce inflammation. Reducing inflammation is our goal.

I think I'm done for the night. I have a buzz waiting. 2 AM...... as good as any time to get back to it.

:hugs: hello :hugs:
Happy to hear your day was full of love :circle-of-love:.
I wrote about turmeric in the home remedies thread and as soon as I have a sweet harvest, I will try mixing some of the herbs with cannabis.
Do you think it would work the same if added to butter? Or infused oil?+

Yes you did Birdie. :hugs:

I can't think of a reason it wouldn't work. Don't forget the pepper. I haven't gone in search of any recipes yet. I'll keep my eyes open.

Right now my eyes have to sleep. Goodnight everyone. :battingeyelashes:

In April of 2013 I weighed in at an unhappy 240 lbs. I don't diet. That's a mindset for future disaster. What I do is Callanetics and eat when I'm hungry, trying my best to make the choices more varied than BioBomb brownies. :laughtwo:

My goal for this year was to get to 165 lbs, without really trying. Callanetics and cannabis are restoring my body to a youthful vigor. I'm growing younger. I look at least five years younger than I did at this point a year ago.

But the special thrill, the reason I'm having you join me in celebration is that I stepped into the scales for my birthday weigh-in and I'm at 165.1 lbs.

:yahoo:  :slide:  :yahoo:

No way around it. Life is sweet. :battingeyelashes:

That's awesome Sue! Congratulations!

Hello Sweet Sue! The Ultimate Canna Recipe method 1 says to use 1/2 oz bud per 1lb of unsalted butter. Is it a waste to use more that the 1/2oz?? Is Salted butter the same as unsalted??
So its not my imagination weed has my blood pressure great? Ive got Scleroderma and I think the Canna butter helps my digestion. I limit myself to half a cookie!!!
Great Day Sue!

Oops, I missed it. Happy Belated Birthday Sue!

What are you doing with that DDA? I have some extra stash and free time...

Haha! Now that's a message to wake up to. :laughtwo: I swear, I finished playing with the tree lights at 5 AM and my whole body vibrated for the hour after my final hits of that overcooked DDA. I'm going to try this with another batch and see if it does the same thing. It's almost too good to be true, so my mind questions, but damn! What a buzz! I'm not out of bed yet and I'm thinking about the next buzz. lol!

Good morning :420: Are we ready for another ride? :battingeyelashes:
