The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Daily Update: Friday, October 28, 2016

OK, I've been at this gardening and processing thing all day long. Got two batches of oils made and capsuled up and drenched the clones. Made for a busy day and I still have some oily mess to clean up and no one here to share that fun with. Tsk, tsk, tsk. :battingeyelashes:

Let's check in on the rest of the charges. Starting, as usual, in the auto tent.

I tucked the leaves so we could see what she's doing under there. The hidden buds are close to being finished. She still has better than a week to go. Not scheduled for the cut until the 7th.

On to the tiny closet.

Dark Devil Auto 4 (Day 66) Here she goes. Last couple weeks and we have a front row seat. :slide:

Emerald. Also Day 3.

The Carn1 clones. Everyone got a nice drench and I topped off the LOS pots. Had a little settling going on.

What a happy group of plants. They cause the warmest of stirrings in my heart, just gazing at them. It's dangerous sometimes, having one wide open and calling me over all day long. :laughtwo:

That's the gang today guys. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm gonna do something I started out to do hours ago and then got lost in a lengthy conversation with my daughter, I'm gonna finally catch that DDA3 buzz. Hell, it's only 11PM. Lol! The night is young and it's a Friday night at that. I forgot all about that. Alrighty then, break out the bong!

I'll be running into some of you as I wander. Until then

:Namaste:

how does dda#3 sample in comparison ?

That's where I've been all this time. Whew! Stunned. I'm stunned. It appears mite infestation agreed with her. Lol! This are the densest, stickiest buds of any type I've grown. I thought they were fluffy because they were small. I was wrong. They're tight little balls of buds. I confused myself with the leaves I keep on when I dry.

It smells and tastes like I remember Carnival smelling and tasting. It freaked me out when I realized that was the smell I remembered. Then I realized the density of the buds and overall stickiness were also a match. This one has almost no berry smell or taste to it at all, and definately none of the mild fuel smell I've grown to expect. She matches color, and she was an auto, so I know I didn't mix up the seeds. Lol!

She excels in potency. Hands down, no contest. It took me so long to get back because at five hits she not only had me floating, she had me straight into hallucinating. :laughtwo: Suffice it to say, the past hour or so has been delightful. Music is such fun. When music and color join in movement it becomes a joyful dance.

I'm gonna check on a few things before I get back to the buzz. I'm starting to wear down. As long as I stay busy the pinched nerve in the neck is bearable. I'm starting to feel it now. Sleep is looking more attractive by the minute. But first, a couple more hits. :battingeyelashes:

Isn't this hobby the most fun?

Geez, that was fun. Only six hits I believe. Teeny, tiny hits.

sorry credit to "stunted art" instagram . Not mine I apologize, no credit taken unless it made your heart skip a beat then hmm wish it was ...:circle-of-love:

I hear those 180w draw 3 watt mars 300 make nice flowers and can be kept very close to get the par watts right on to the plants?

no suggestions just curious i'll be quiet and let you work Lady Sue

You make all the suggestions you want Hab. I'm all ears. :battingeyelashes:

Id love to sit down & do a few vape hits with you sue! Happy saturday 420 gang! You all are doin greeeeaaaat! :volcano-smiley:

Heheh, yeah, healthy plants are the best, but the tortured ones do have their charms, too. :slide: I had a Destroyer that the whiteflies were merciless with. She was an icky sticky mess by harvest time.

Top shelf update Sue.

I only remember getting a floating feeling and hearing auditory hallucinations once from some hash when I was 15. I would pay extra for that now lol :blunt: I dont think it was just hash?

Soooo....... What we're suggesting here is some controlled abuse timed just right might be the ticket to these incredible potency levels, or would I have to endure more infestations to get these results. :laughtwo: This hobby grows more interesting by the day. Lol!

Well, you need to give this one a try some day Hab. She's a special devilish mix that keeps you coming back for more.

My first gravity bong experience had me wandering around barefoot in the snow after 2 hits...to this day I have no idea what was in it..........a little bummed at that. :(

Bummer....... That memory burns a little hole somewhere, doesn't it? I only have one mindless wandering adventure in my history, and it was definately laced. Lol! I spent the night talking to trees and bushes. :laughtwo: Those drugs are too risky for an old woman to begin playing with. It's nice to have something as fun as DDA in the box to pull out. I used to think I'd keep it around for special moments, and then I realized all the moments of my life are special, so I better grow more of it. :laughtwo:

Good morning everyone.

It's looking like another stunning fall day here in The Burgh. I'm headed out for the morning four miles along the river. I wanted to take a moment to encourage you to find those little moments today that allow you to pick up the vibration of the universe and spread a little more joy around. And grab those hugs where you can. One 20-second hug a day will reset that sense of belonging, of loving and being loved that's so essential to the healthy human machine. Make sure you get yours. I time it as three slow, deep breaths. Try to make it to four before you let go. A little extra squeeze might be just the ticket.

Later, my friends. :hugs:

Id love to sit down & do a few vape hits with you sue! Happy saturday 420 gang! You all are doin greeeeaaaat! :volcano-smiley:

Good morning Scottay. I love way you breeze through on a joyful wave. :laughtwo: Have a wonderful day. :hugs:

A joyful visual comparison

DDA3, grown in LOS on the top, DDA2, grown in the hempy on the bottom.

IMG_053937.JPG

DDA2 is obviously more colorful, and I can tell you she has the customary berry/fuel smell. DDA3 has more of a gray tone to her overall coloration, caused by the proliferation of trichomes. She's noticably more frosty. She lacks the customary scent of the DDA, something that confuses me, and she has the mildest of flavors at this stage, completely lacking any real cure. I'll be sure to put some aside for a three-month cure of both so I can compare them at that stage.

I will now devote myself to the very unscientific determination of which one is superior in potency. The things I do for science. :laughtwo:

A couple closeups, just for fun.

DDA2 above, DDA3 below.

IMG_054139.JPG

Not the best quality, but you can see the increased trichome expression on DDA3, on the right. I shouldn't have to point her out. Lol!

IMG_0543.PNG

DDA3 hits on another level. Primo meds. I give it a clear 10.

Time for another hit. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Sue... yawn any coffee in here? I need some Joe.

Dda3 is los or Kit? Either way Both look better that that mexican brick you had to score :cheertwo:

Surely you sugar coated the one lol its bre-x bud bahahaha. Frostiness is golden :blunt:

Daily Update: Carnival, Day 95 (flip + 15)

Good afternoon everyone. So, let's see what she's up to today. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_054439.JPG

Canopy needs a bit of tending. I let all the restraints go the other day. Time to reassert control, now that I know where everyone's settled into.

IMG_054541.JPG

Lookin' a little bushy in there too.

Now, let's take a look from overhead. Ok, she does not look like something Master Graytail would present.

IMG_055251.JPG

There. He'll be much more pleased with that. :blunt:

IMG_055336.JPG

Additions for butter scheduled to be made later today. I'll get these washed and decarbed. They'll add more flavor too, with the flowers on them. Mmmmmmmm...... Special butter. I've already added 5 grams of DDA to the mix. This is gonna be my best butter to date. When Carnival comes in I'm going to begging making all my butter with more flowers. At this point I simply appreciate the more varied profile offered by younger leaves.

Definately more than four ounces building on this little darlin'. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Ready for your inspection Duggan. Sorry to be running so late. Blame it on my Devils. :laughtwo:

Good morning, you sleep-deprived maniac. :laughtwo: :hugs: A man after my own heart. :battingeyelashes:

supergroomer maintains a virtual coffee shop for just such a moment. Look for it in Off-Topics. Come to think of it, I don't think I've stopped by there in over a week. I'll have to make that right later.

You got me on the sugar coating Hab. Lol! Dipped her in raw sugar for more texture. :battingeyelashes: DDA3 was in LOS. I've never gotten that level of frostiness out of my no-tills before. Either they're getting stronger, as theorized, or being infested with mites may be a benefit to potency.

We'll have to see if the DDA4 improves in the same way. She's growing in the same batch of soil following the same number of cycles. The difference is that the pot in the auto tent got tilled when the whole grow had to be torn down. I refused to pull the one in the closet.

Daily Update: Saturday, October 29, 2016

Good evening everyone. :battingeyelashes:

I pulled the Carn1 clones out today to get a closer look at them after a few weeks in soil. Can you believe they've been in soil now for between 16 and 22 days? I know, where did the time go? I need to decide which one is the true candidate for further vegging and a trip to the big tent.

#1 (Day 22)

#3 (Day 19)

IMG_058540.JPG

#4 (Day 16) This one's the winner. Look at the structure. She's like a tiny jewel, just waiting to break out and dazzle us with her charms. She's the perfect size to ride out the veg time she'll have to get through until Carn2 is harvested. She's the obvious best choice IMHO.

IMG_060139.JPG

IMG_060237.JPG

IMG_060333.JPG

IMG_060443.JPG

#5 (Day 16) The two clones in the small LOS pots appear to be exhibiting a nitrogen deficiency, something I shouldn't be seeing in this soil, so I'm a bit baffled. I've consulted the brilliant minds over on the organic soil discussion thread. I'll wait to hear from them before I do anything about it. I have some comfrey fertilizer I could press into duty.

IMG_060638.JPG

IMG_060735.JPG

#6 (Day 16) The apparent deficiency is on more obvious display in this specimen. Quite frankly, if I can't stabilize them I'll just cull them. I don't have the patience at this point to spend an inordinate amount of time nursing plants I really don't need. The hempy girl will happily take that spot under the lights.

IMG_060539.JPG

IMG_060839.JPG

Carn2 clones. (Day 4) These are in the same soil the other clones are showing the deficiency in, so whatever I do to them I'll also do with these. Working LOS in small pots can be a challenge I've yet to master. No time like the present, eh? :battingeyelashes:

IMG_060936.JPG

Emerald (Day 4)

IMG_061043.JPG

IMG_061235.JPG

We have some growth beginning. :slide: Hab and I are thinking next weekend she'll be ready to flower and then she'll be coming down about the same time as the larger Carnival growing in Doc's HB soil mix. That'll be an interesting comparison, won't it?

IMG_0613.PNG

Time to get them closer to the light. In a few days I'll move them into the clone area, then I'll pick my favorite of the LOS potted clones and kick the whole batch into flower.

image37775.jpg

Last, but least, DDA4. I confess to getting a little camera happy. Enjoy. :battingeyelashes:

The interior is filled with smaller buds in the process of swelling up. Still a couple weeks to go, by appearances, but were crossing into her harvest window probably later this week, so she could go at any time next week.

IMG_062638.JPG

Whew! That was a long one guys. I try hard not to bog you down like that, but some days it's nearly impossible to reign it in. :laughtwo: I'm so glad you all indulge me. It makes the experience so rewarding. :circle-of-love:

Thank you so much for stopping by. We tried to make it worth your while, and I'm secure in my belief that we succeeded. Have a wonderful evening, and don't forget ShiggityFlip has a Halloween smokeathon running this weekend. I'm on my way over to check out the fun right after I take a few hits. Hope to see you there. :ciao: :green_heart:

Alright. I just need to put this out there as a question for all of you.

I just read an article that says legalization in CA will mean smuggling weed into Mexico from CA do to it's higher potency. According to the article, 2% THC in Mexican and 30%+ in cannabis from CA. They worry about the side effects of the high power high on people not used to it. They warned that people would hallucinate. I have smoked, vaped, tacked, and ingested a lot of weed in my time. I have gotten really high. But I have never hallucinated from cannabis. Have you? :peace:
