The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

The Relentless Siren Call For Expansion Wins Once Again!

I've shared about that shelf space in the bathroom, right? Well, here we go buckaroos. I couldn't resist it any longer. I need a couple more things to make it complete, but the guts and bones are in place.

I have another foot and a half of vertical available. It's a simple lifting of the shelf. I have another reflector, but I gave away the other bulb extender :laughtwo: so I need to run to Lowe's. There were a couple other things I wanted there anyway, so I'll just add on to that list. I'll need an air-movement fan as well.

Set up for 20/4.

The first occupants. :yahoo:

IMG_013649.JPG

I'll watch this for a day or two before I move the other two clones from the auto tent. The plan is to veg them in here until such time as I choose the ones I want to keep for the big tent or as bonsai mothers. Then I'll close it up a little more tightly and flip everyone else and see what I can pull from the space. Doesn't that sound like the most fun??? :woohoo:

I can feel Dale smile every time I mention bonsai mothers. He was planning on doing that for me and it was one of his regrets when he realized he was going to die. They're gonna have to be the best damn bonsai mothers you ever saw.

I live on the top floor, all the way at the front of the building. I'm literally the last house on my "street." My BIL lives below me and I can smell what he's smoking, so odor is no concern. I can save myself the trouble of filtration. If it becomes a concern there are any number of options I can choose from to solve the problem. For now I'm planning on just letting it perfume the house when I'm flowering.

I'm headed out in the rain to pick up another bulb extender and the fan to move the air around. A clip one should suffice.

Are you as as excited as I am right now? :slide:

Hi Sue,

I don't filtrate either....I live alone on acreage set way back from the street....

During the winter months I diffuse essential oils to boost the immune system and ward off flu and colds...you might want to consider that as you expand your grow or in case someone needs to come into the house for any repairs....

With 60 plants in here and counting, I don't even smell it anymore :laughtwo:

:laughtwo: Laughed right out loud at that Shawnee. Lol!

Great idea about the essential oils. I have some high-quality patchouli incense that only needs a moment or two to change the entire flavor of the apartment, but this would be a better idea. What oils are you partial to? I already have lavender, my favorite, and I'd think with its antiseptic qualities it'd be a wonderful candidate. Do you mix oils by chance? Also, have you developed a preference for a diffuser?

What a beautiful sight. :battingeyelashes:

I got an inexpensive diffuser from Wally World that works terrific...I use Young Living oils....they make some blends that are combinations of other oils, which I really like; for example Thieves, Joy (you would love it), and Purification, to name a few....I really love them all, depending on my mood....

I'll be sure to look into it. Thanks Shawnee. :hugs:

Found the returned Advanced panel waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs. :yahoo: When I get back I'll switch the lights out. I'm still planning on using CFLs for vegging the Carnival clones, but now I have two LED panels to flower them under.

IMG_014053.JPG

Ahhhh.... feel that contentment settling in? It's temporary. The thrill of the chase will begin anew before long. I like my life a little edgy. Alright... out into the rain. :laughtwo:

LIGHT!!!

There, that's much better. :battingeyelashes:

My heartfelt thanks to the generous souls at Advanced for making it work out. It cost me nothing to have this repair done. I'm soooo grateful for that.

Hey bud,...is that your biggest light ? Ya , you know what i'm gonna say next don't ya!!!

I consider the BudMaster GOD 6 to be the better of the two panels. That's what the Carnival's under right now.

Unless you think otherwise Duggan. Thoughts?

That GOD panel was supposed to be Stage's. I kinda like the fact that it's the one growing the HB plant. It's like Stage is part of the grow, and that feels really, really nice to me. :battingeyelashes:

No, leave the BM...(as he slaps his self!). It would be nice to add one Dorm grow 90w UFO, all red.Oh crap...gotta book , hockey game! Later Sue and gang!

That would be a nice addition, but there's no room in there for another light. I'll try to get some CFLs coming in from below or from the sides after she's done stretching. That'll probably coincide with the recharge. It should be an interesting kick.

Have fun at the game. :hugs:

Daily Update: Friday, October 21, 2016

Good evening everyone. My, what a day. Let's see what I ended up with.

This is was the start, right after I had the light installed. The clones were dry enough that I took them out and put them in their drench pots. Then I went to work on finishing up the new clone space.

IMG_014656.JPG

I decided to put the seeds in here too. I prefer germinating and starting seedlings under CFLs. I have one more smaller lamp I can use for additional lighting once the seeds pop. The taller plants are under a reflector up as high as it'll go, which means I'll be rearranging the upper shelf tomorrow to get up as high as I can.

Clone #4, in the red cup (Day 8) got a TransWater soaking today. The other two clones, (both also at Day 8) and #3 (behind #1, Day 11) didn't need any more hydration.

IMG_015351.JPG

Looks good, doesn't it? Yeah *giggle*......... I'm pretty stoked at how this progressed from this morning.

The shelf above is open as much as possible to allow heat to rise and dissipate.

IMG_015857.JPG

The whole thing glows in the most delightful fashion. I'm leaving it cracked open at this end for air flow.

The fan will work until I get a better one. I completely forgot about it while I was out, despite the fact that it was one of two primary things I went out in the rain for. :laughtwo: That trip turned out rather nice, actually. I was standing at the train crossing in the rain, waiting for the train to pass and belting out sappy love songs at the top of my lungs when a gentleman waiting at the crossing in his warm and comfortable truck persuaded me to climb in out of the driving rain. :laughtwo:

Then, kind soul that he was, he drove me the extra 1/2 mile to Lowe's to save me the walk in the rain. Isn't the universe a sweet place? Don't worry, he's a local businessman of long standing and trustworthy as the day is long. It was a sweet gesture that made my day more joyful.

Anyway, I digress. :laughtwo: The fan's positioned in such a way that everyone dances. That works for me until tomorrow.

IMG_016254.JPG

That left just the two pots in the auto tent. The new seedlings will eventually make their way in here, one positioned on the slab of wood in the lower left corner, planted in an azalea pot, and the other planted in the pot the DDA3 now occupies. It's time to plant something else. Hmmmmm......

Starting to to get back into the groove. I just need to sit down and consider timelines. Once I get the planting schedule down it'll run more smoothly. I'm thinking wait another two weeks before I plant something else. Sounds like a plan.

You see the DDA3 (Day 59) has begun to turn the fans. Don't you just love the color show they put on? :woohoo: We're nearing her harvest window. Within two weeks for sure. I'm planning on about a week, based purely on instinct. She should start swelling. Early Miss (Day 38) just plods along. Let's see what she thinks of this light.

IMG_017551.JPG

Around the corner the cuttings await their next check, on Sunday.

IMG_016646.JPG

Last, but not at all least, Dark Devil Auto 4 (Day 59). What a beauty. She looks so disheveled from a distance.

IMG_016747.JPG

Then you get up close.

IMG_017052.JPG

She's gonna start to fill out those colas now. You seeing the potential I am? :laughtwo: Another 2-3 weeks here, easy. I'll be planting the next seed on the 30th. I'll have a better idea then of her finish date.

IMG_017249.JPG

Evidence of the life benefitting this beauty. I just love evolution. The soil does all the work for me. :slide:

IMG_017458.JPG

I like where this went. I started off inspired and kept at it until I had something that worked. Now I have more growing space where I previously had dead storage. *contented sigh*

Quite a productive day. :blunt: Time for Callanetics.

:Namaste:

:hugs: :hugs: looking good in every corner :bravo:

Evening Birdie. :hugs:

:laughtwo: I was bemused by the memory of deciding I was going to go back to the tiny closet and simplify my life. Lol! Then I turned into a medicine woman for a couple people, including myself and everything changed. From one space to three to four. What's next? A barn? Hahaha! I'll work on some greenhouses in a forest somewhere. That sounds a little like paradise to me. :battingeyelashes:

Welcome to my world....it's intoxicating and an adrenalin rush BOTH....aim HIGH because we can....no limits....we have nothing to loose....dare yourself to go there...then you will truly experience joy to the max... :laughtwo:

In looking at my MJ grow calendar for my now 2 flower rooms, I see that I will be harvesting a handful of plants every weekend for the next 6 weeks....Lord have mercy...I have a lot of plants, but with different grow cycles: 8, 9, and 10 week cycles; a genius plan that I didn't make happen consciously, but it just did...divine order...it just brings me down to earth, gets me centered, and reminds me of what life is all about...this is my idea of heaven....one week at a time...

I envy you Shawnee. I've been living in my home for 30 years now, and it's not in the right part of the country for indoor cultivation. Quite the dissonance. If I'd had the foresight to settle in a place where growing quality cannabis was a retirement option, I'd be in heaven already. :cheesygrinsmiley:

But I've also been living long enough to know that the future can take odd twists, so ... who knows. All I'd want is a small boutique business with maybe 10 clients - that'd do it for me.
