The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Wow Hempy harshing lol :MoreNutes: I look at all the mixing teas and foliar sprays you HB 's do as too much work not very kiss. My hempy mix is alway full mix as per label- then diluted to X% 3:1 1:1 etc strain dependent with H2o. Ph once And it always mixes the same, be sure to flush once every 2 weeks to reduce chances of nute salt buildup. But the risk of burn is there. Although I prefer dtw coco or soil less mixes now I still run small hempys to fill space under lights in corners like your DDA 2. Thats whats great about Weed, so many ways to grow it well.:green_heart:

Still DDA 2-3 are budding up well And carnival 2 :bravo: No dancing man as he is not welcome lol.

Yep! I did this the other day! Now I know where every seed I own is. (HAHAHAHA Right after I typed this I confidently looked over at my nightstand expecting to see the card box. It wasn't there! A quick moment of panic and then I remembered I put it in my dresser. :phew: Thought I lost them again. :laughtwo:) The only thing I did different was write the date I received each seed, whether it was sativa-dominant, etc. and the flowering time on each card.

Yeah my fridges cheese compartment is overflowing with ziplocks. I need to compile and reduce numbers. I ordered 1000 vials like the ones some seed companies do.

@Sue :circle-of-love: Tip for a Tip ; The " 190 micron paint strainer " works well for removing contaminants from your herbal extract/Teas and unlike coffee filter they don't clog.

So now you have to listen to how easy it is to drench and foliar the LOS and HB kit girls. :laughtwo:

There are only four different drenches, counting the CAT and TransWater (which is really 1/4 the strength of the Transplant and minus the Tea) and two different foliars. The measurements for both drenches and foliars are all worked out by Doc and members using the kit, so it's just a matter of figuring out how much water your plant will take and adding those amounts to the water.

It's really so simple it's almost mind-boggling when they explode with incredible growth.

As far as LOS teas, shoot, those are simple, throw it together and walk away for a day or so, if that long. Small amounts of amendments offered on a consistent schedule with no real concern about measurements.

I'm in awe of growers who master their nutrient lines. I can't stand PHing water. I've learned to do it with a certain amount of skill but it drives me nuts. :laughtwo: I'm too lazy a gardener to be that involved.

What I love about this site is the diversity of styles. I may not care for hempy or hydro as my method of cultivation but I thoroughly enjoy watching one of our members rock a hydro or hempy grow. I'm impressed with the yields available when you get it right, it's just not in my comfort zone.

Thanks for sharing that about the paint strainers. It's what I use, always have actually, but I keep forgetting to mention it. They work wonderfully.

Good luck organizing your seeds.

Hmm pretty hard to come up with tips that you know not lol . I will dig deeper :goof::idea::woohoo: till then thanks again :thumb:

MagicJim is playing with a new soil mix that's pretty amazing too this cycle, but you're looking for something soilless, aren't you?

Well sue....Im alive today so thats good. Edibles actually do me really well. Lastss a while. I think on the capsules Im gonna do the 5:1 ratio. Bit stronger. I pretty much always just use my vapes. Then use the plant material and make oil out of it! Already decarbed and everything! :volcano-smiley:

Habitual, LOS = Living Organic Soil. Soil that raises the plants for you, just the way evolution intended.

Just doing a drive by. Hope ya'll don't mind.
I'd have a ton of back reading here, so I'll just do alittle speed back reading if ya'll don't mind.
But I was reading about the paint strainers. And I just started making this RSO for my woman, and found a really cool unit on e--ay called a nut milk strainer bag.. Best unit I ever found, for a good primary strain, least before the coffee filters if you want to go that far. Things perfect for doing coconut oil and butter. Cheap too. I think about 9x12", and probably alot of sizes. Nice looking lady you got growing up there.... Keepem Green

Thank you Jacob. You do the same. :passitleft: Ahhhhh..... Mornings, you gotta love 'em, right? It's bright and cheerful here. Time to Brix my Carnival. Catch you later. One more...... :passitleft:

Oh yeah.... There it is. :battingeyelashes:

Carnival #2 (Day 71)

Shes been thoroughly Brixed this morning. I'm not supercrooping anything today. Giving them one more day of growth before the next session. I want to be able to follow the supercrooping with a DeStress foliar. It'll wait until tomorrow morning.

It's a glorious morning. Rev those vibratory rates up to gratitude and get out there sharing Joy. Make your corner of paradise flow with loving and laughter. Watch the universe bring you more of the same.

BIG HUGS!!! :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Later..... :ciao:

Signs of life!!

The Aerated Compost Tea is ready for dilution and application. I'll make this a gallon and a half and split it three ways. The soil plots will love me for it. :battingeyelashes:

I won't be repeating it. I have a hard time putting a plant through all this when it's easier and kinder to let the soil produce what the plant needs, on demand.

I'm just honored you gave it a swing.
Some zig, others zag. Be you a zigger or a zagger, we sure like your plants and your words.
Did you win MOTM? I'm too lazy to go look and even to lazy to read back more than one page.

LOS is my weak spot and my favorite way of growing. I've tried just about everything, OK, not everything, I read about folks charging the roots with low voltage current. Stoners are a trip!

+Reps on that heads up about the strainer bag Norcaliwood. Yeah, it can be a challenge keeping up with our pace. :laughtwo: Always good to see you strolling by. Thanks for the compliment. That Carnival's gonna fill the whole tent and then some.

Morning SweetSue  Running a few yards this a.m. your first on the list... Girls looking mighty fine.:high-five: Ole Rooster1 strolling on out...

Good morning Rooster. Enjoy the rest of your run through the threads. :battingeyelashes:

Good morning Susan!:hugs:

Morning Duggan. I see you've checked out the Carnival. Everything's going smoothly. Have a wonderful day now. :hugs:

I don't regret trying, but I have no patience for all that fiddling and second-guessing. I have even more respect for you now Tead. :laughtwo: Thank you for being patient with me. I tend to get a little frantic in the middle of something new and challenging, before things settle down, and I wanted to present this in a better light. It's been an interesting, though frustrating ride. I'm looking forward to sampling her wares. She smells fabulous and she's going to give me a decent harvest in the end, despite all my missteps.

What I mostly learned is I'm even lazier than I thought. :laughtwo: I prefer to let the soil do all the heavy lifting when it comes to cultivating cannabis.

Daily Update: Wednesday, October 5, 2016

Good morning all. Let's get this out of the way early today. I have my walking group tonight and we tend to sit and share coffee for a couple hours. I'd rather not have to race to get the update in.

Maintenance notes:
- Carnival #2 got her Brix foliar.
- The LOS pots each got a portion of the ACT, so the entire apartment smells like kelp. :laughtwo: I gave a majority of it to the Early Miss, since hers is the newest soil plot and she has no SWICK under her. I should amend that next week. Give her one more week to grow roots and then treat her like a blooming plant.

Starting in the auto tent.

Dark Devil Auto 3 (Day 43)

image18038.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto 2 (Day 53) I dropped her back to about 2/3 the nute mix strength she was getting. Let's see how that goes. She's only got a little less than two weeks to get through and she's trying hard to get there for me.

image18039.jpeg

Early Miss (Day 22) Spreading her out a little more every day. I'm going to look for some wire hangers today. They make the best restraints.

image18040.jpeg

image18041.jpeg

In the tiny closet, the Dark Devil Auto 4 is making me wonder how I ever fit two plants into this limited space. (Day 43)

image18042.jpeg

Perfect height. :blunt:

image18043.jpeg

Yeah....... Where would I have fit another plant in here? :laughtwo:

One last look in on Carnival #2. (Day 71)

image18046.jpeg

She's happy camper.

image18047.jpeg

I'm heading out into this glorious day. Maybe I'll find those wire hangers, but mostly I just want to get out into this lovely fall weather. I hear we may have rain coming this weekend, so let's make the most of this sunshine. I have a need for the sunlight this time of the year. It's time to start making myself get out walking for an hour every day to get enough rays to keep me from slipping into seasonal depression. This is one of the reasons I love my Timber Vero240. The spectrum is pleasing to my soul. I'm planning to park myself by it for about twenty minutes a day throughout the winter. I suspect that may completely counteract the SAD symptoms.

I'll be seeing you around the yards. Thanks for stopping to admire the garden and have a wonderful day, filled with joyful expression.

:Namaste:

Keith

:laughtwo: We had a member playing with that idea just a couple weeks ago. Not my cup of tea at all.

When I get through my eventual transformation I'll only have one LOS plot running, but I'm so enamoured with the soil that I can't let that plot go. It'll be the tiny closet pot and it'll likely always be my chosen spot for my Dark Devil Autos and the Med GOM 1.0 autos. That pot has an established worm colony working it. That plot of soil is the one that feels most like my pet. Lol!

The kit is its own type of LOS. You're working with microbes, you're just controlling them more closely. I've found I prefer the Clackamas Coot-style of soil for autos and the kit soil for my sativas, but I'm still shifting the auto tent to kit soil. I'm pretty certain I can get the autos to excell in kit soil as well. I'm not giving up on autos. I have an almost inexhaustible source of auto seeds that I simply can't pass up.

What I really need is more space, more fans, more tents, more lights. Sound famaliar? Lol! The urge to expand the grow never stops.

Yes Tead, I won MOTM again. That means another run at MOTY. I'm feeling all kinds of loved this week. :battingeyelashes:
