The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

There's no hijacking of this thread. I stopped caring right before Dale died and I realized I could have stopped the diabetes with thoughtful use of cannabis over twenty years ago. Instead I beat myself up all those years about taking the money to purchase something he obviously needed. So we let the medical establishment slowly kill him and only got high just enough to keep from going insane.

When I made us stop for eight years he turned to drinking. That was a dangerous wake-up call and a bullet we dodged. He came precariously close to becoming an alcoholic near the end of that madness. As soon as I started growing for him and relief was in sight he died. *sigh*

It's a mistake I'll not repeat. I'm staying wonderfully buzzed to the end, and mostly on my own produce.

:hugs::hugs::hugs:

So much unnecessary loss and heartache forced upon our generations over a plant. *sigh*

Morning all I love that DD she's amazing! I'm on my first auto run on day 16 I think and she's pathetically small I'm hoping she'll just be slow to start? But I wanted to say your looking amazing and a question what is a "kit" plant?

You know it Fuzznutter. May the madness end once and for all in our lifetime.

Graytail, you old rebel you. :laughtwo: I hear all these reports about how senior citizens don't want to get "euphoric" and I stop and wonder just who they're asking. :laughtwo:

I think Walt Kowalski could have used some of that euphoria.

Happy Monday Sue! I found this gem while checking my notifications. Have you heard of this? Maybe it will help your friend also! I've got roots laying around in the basement and am willing to whip something up. We need to brainstorm the best route to take these. Dehydrated, powdered, and in capsules? Is it eaten, smoked, used as a rub, or suppository?

Like I said, happy Monday. This is a bunch of goodness to look into.

:hugs:

I recently read that this is very high in CBN and very low and THC and that it is really a great thing for counteracting chronic pain and I was wondering if anyone has tried this before. The reason I ask is I am a few weeks away from harvest and I want to dry out the routes for a realities who may be looking at pretty serious surgery on her arm.

Has anyone Aldo MADE it before? I'm doing it in a DWC. Aside from cleaning the roots off and maybe even soaking them overnight and distilled water to get all the fertilizer out that may still linger after the flush, is there any other thing I should be aware of to dry this?

Good morning darling girl. :hugs:

You left the link out Canna, so I'm not certain what you're talking about. Point me to the source, please, and we'll put our heads together.

My friend shared with me why capsules might not be the best route. He's proving to be quite the challenge. One kidney blown out, the remaining kidney compromised. So he's walking around with a partially functioning kidney and any medications running through the gut apparently don't get metabolized the same way. Like I said, a challenge, but he wasn't counting on my hard-headed nature. I'll be working on intense pain creams to temper the muscle tension born from having a broken osteo nail digging into his spine and working out a way to get things metabolized in his system by alternate routes. He's living with inoperable pain that he's learned to conquer through mind over matter.

It looks like our best approach for pain with him may be simply to grow or acquire the most potent THC auto strain we can find. Smoking helps him enormously, since the cannabinoids go straight to the brain. He's happy with his Early Miss and he's growing Crop King's TrainWreck now and has Revolver available for next grow, and we're looking at a pain cream made with Gorrila Glue 4, which he can get from a local dispensary.

*sigh* I'm staying positive about our options. I know that within every challenge lie the seeds to the solution. In my mind I can see him walking around in less pain, so our answer is out there somewhere.

Good morning everyone.

Another week and it's gonna be real exciting in here. :laughtwo:

OK my friends, it's a glorious new day, full of opportunity to let the universe know how grateful you are to be among the living. Get out there and spread some of that percolating joy around. :hugs:

Canna, your link isn't picking up the post#. That's why it's coming through blank.

KR was talking about roots in the study hall, and Keith mentioned it recently too, I believe. Made me think about how we recycle soil by leaving the roots in there. We may need to find a new way of doing the soil, since I'll probably start processing roots too. Tell me there's special pain meds available when I'm dealing with a pain challenge of incredible magnitude and you can bet your life that I'll be drying out the roots too.

Canna, I don't see a link either but are you referring to root balm? I've made it twice before and it does work very well for SOME kinds of pain. It seems to work best for physical pain such as inflammed joints rather than neuropathic pain. However, even with the neuropathic pain it can take the edge off a little. I also notice I sleep better if I use it before bed. I'm not sure if that's just because the pain is lessened though or if there is another reason. It has a short duration of effectiveness though, maybe 2 hours before it needs reapplied. However, it's very easy to make and if this is what you're talking about I'd be happy to post instructions.

Morning Fuzz, :hugs:

Please post the instructions.

A very warm good morning to ya Susan ...and your friends! After you harvest your "big girl" your supply issues will be over.....:blunt: Her canopy is perfect Sue, nice work...keep it up!! Don't forget to do all spraying after the light's been "on" for an hour OK. That's when the "stomata" is open and the sprays will work as designed OK!
I know by your schedule she is OK for now ,..but when she is due for a drink remember to give her a good soaking with GE and Tea OK, but NOT until she's getting thirsty . You don't have to wait for her to go all limp though...try and catch her right before that....what i do if i'm not sure is to stick my finger in the soil as far as it will go....if it's dry down to about 4 inches and your finger comes out clean...then you can Drench. The roots have developed really good over the last few weeks and it shows....keep up the awesome work woman...have a great Sunday would ya!:Namaste:

Do you find any issue with foliar sprays in the middle of lights on? For some reason I thought I had read where they should always be done right before the lights go out for the night.

Good morning Morglie, No, no issues. Sprays should be done sometime when lites are ON...and not about to go off...more risk of mold that way. I always spray mine sometime during the first 2-4 hours of lites "ON". This way the leaves are ready for it(stomata is open) and there is no risk of mold with all that extra moisture in the room with the lites off! Spraying right before lites off...especially deep into bloom will "invite" mold , for sure. Cheers Morglie!
hey Sue...you didn't beat me here woman...I was checking things out at 7:30! HAHA!:cheertwo:

Foliars should be applied when the stoma are open at their peak. I'd always believed that they should be applied either just as lights come on (in which case duggan's instructions are within that window) or just as lights are going out.

Having said that, to my understanding the foliars are basically acidic and they'll penetrate regardless. I've applied them at other times of the day. I'd rather do a foliar I know I'll remember in the middle of the afternoon than forget to do one at a special time of the day when I'd rather be sleeping. For optimal results, follow the instructions. I just can't be tied down by rigid rules, which is part of the reason the kit works for me. It's really hard to mess up with the kit.

Lol! I see Duggan beat me to the punch. Listen to the man with the experience. :battingeyelashes:
