The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Good Night Sweetie... I am slowly filling a gift box for you.. anything special you want from my parts of the world??

Good morning Birdie. :hugs: You are so sweet. I'm a woman of few needs, so there's nothing I can think of offhand.

Oh the possibilities :)

I know. :laughtwo:

Good morning or Good night, hard to know where you are at this time of day:thumb: Today will be the end of my oil, man I hate to see it end! Like I said before, I'm not sure what strain I had only I know it wasn't what I need. After sitting here on the back row I'm still soaking and smoking knowledge.:thanks: Thanks to you, Magic Jim and the rest of this room I have LOOKED, LISTENED and just about ready to start my journal. With your Dark Devil's, and Jim talking about his Pineapple I ordered 3 of each autos yesterday. As of now my jars are empty, still have many weeks to go on my WW so I wait and wait and wait.....

Yeah, it's hard for me to tell sometimes too Rooster. :laughtwo: I work until I nod off, sleep, wake up and do it all again. It's a good life, if you can get it.

The oil does do it for you, doesn't it? I pretty much abandoned other delivery methods when I discovered capsules. I was talking with my daughter yesterday and realized that the capsules that're doing the most for her are the olive oil extraction of the Critical Cure. It got me to thinking that I need to try capsules made in a similar fashion with the Med GOM 1.0. I'd never considered trying a protocol that was strictly based on a CBD strain. I think I'll have to try and see how it leaves me feeling. I also realized that I still have some of the previous harvest of the CBD strains curing, so I could do an oil batch with them. I might toss some into the oven for the 36 hour decarb.

That actually sounds like a great idea. Let me go and do that now.

I think I'll do that today too Sue. I don't have a high cbd strain, but I'm thinking something here. Let me see if I can write it out and have it make sense. I'll probably need you to jump in and add suggestions.

So, today you will decarb the cbd strain in olive oil. That will make caps for your daughter.

What if we decarbed in coconut oil also? Didn't you say the oils absorb differently in our bodies?

What if we made a coconut/ olive oil capsules that was decarbed for 36 hrs. Would it act as more of a "time released" capsule? One oil would start right away by going to the liver, while the other takes longer to absorb? Is any of this making sense to you Sue?

If we mixed the 2 oils, would they absorb as if they were seperate? Would we need to make 2 seperate batches, put the coconut oil mmj in caps, allow to solidify, then add the olive oil on top to keep them seperate?

Not sure if this has been done yet, but what if you made biobomb capsules and used infused olive oil as the carrier oil for an extra punch?
I am going to be making a batch of 20:1 and 10:1 tomorrow and have about half a liter of infused olive oil. Might have to try a few and see how it goes.

That sounds like it would be awesome!!! I'll try that as well!!

Actually, these capsules are for me, so I made them with coconut oil. I'll use some competitive inhibition practices when I take them, probably start a scheduled intake for this, about three or four apigenin tablets a day, because the THC count is low enough that I'd want to get all of the use out of those molecules as possible.

You're correct Canna, the olive oil gets absorbed before the first pass through the liver, so for treatment of most disease it would be the carrier oil of choice. Coconut oil goes straight through the liver after the stomach, which makes it the best choice if you're treating liver cancer, and also makes competitive inhibition steps of greater importance.

You raise a provocative question, and I have no answer for that, but the theory certainly sounds plausible, doesn't it?

Thank you for being such a creative and adventurous lab rat. :hugs: You too Canna. :hugs: It's this curious nature that'll lead us to more effective treatment options.

I have the oil cooking as we speak. In 36 hours I'll add some lecithin and let it sit overnight in the fridge, then cap it all up. At that point I'll try just those capsules for a couple days and see how I feel.

5 grams of finely chopped CBD Critical Cure in 80 ml of coconut oil, on the lowest oven setting.

What kind of ventilation do you have in your tents? Those temps are high. You must be rocking some big ass led lights in there. Plants look good though so that's all that matters.

:hugs:

How on earth did I miss you Noob? :hugs::hugs::hugs:

I have a 6" Ostberg vent fan and a 6" Can Filter, set at just above 80% during the hottest times. I try to keep it around that 80% mark. My challenge is venting directly into the room where the tents are. There's no way to vent outside and remain stealthy. The carnivals don't seem to mind it at all, do they?

The Advanced panel runs much hotter than the Budmaster. The lights are really rated for a 4x4 tent.

I only got 1.8 grams of oil out of the scraped-together ounce I used. I converted that into 117 capsules. Added to the three I had remaining, this gives me a sixty-day supply of capsules. In 60 days I'll have another couple Dark Devils down and I can make more to get me through to the Carnival batch.

Whew! :phew: I did NOT want to be running out again. Friends have been very generous with me for the past year but it's time for me to become more self-sufficient.

I calculated the cannabinoid load in these and the 1800 mg of cannabinoids, spread over 117 capsules makes each one a paltry 15 mg each, and yet, these are the baseline buzz that keeps me going at top speed. Hard to believe, huh? More so when you consider that they've carried me for over five hours from the start.

There must be something to what Cajun said about these being to the endocannabinoid system what a defibrillator is to a heart attack. KaPOW!!! :laughtwo:

So, let's say I want to make some infused oil to use as a carrier oil in the caps like we talked about earlier. What's a good bud to oil ratio to start with? I'll use a half ounce of Heavyweight Fruit Punch for the bud. I'd like to have some infused oil for cooking also, so if there is extra that's not used in caps, then I'm cool with that too. I think I'll make these with olive oil. The cco for the caps will be made with coconut oil. Then we get benefits from both oils.

I'm just learning the ropes with this, but I like mine good and strong. The infusion I made with the olive oil was with fresh buds, and I did that in a 5:1 ratio carrier oil to plant material. The equivalent in dry weight would be 20 grams of plant material for every 500 ml of oil, or 25 ml of oil for every gram of dry plant material. So your 1/2 ounce of buds would need 325 ml of oil to be as potent as what I make.

Does that work for you?

Thank you for making me work that out. It was a calculation I kept meaning to get to. :hugs:

Celebration time, come on!!!! :yahoo:

Welcome little ones.

Dark Devil Auto 3, planted in the tent no-till before the tap root had a chance to peek out of the Rapid Rooter.

Dark Devil Auto 4, planted in the tiny closet no-till before any tap root was visible.

I'm really impressed as hell with these Rapid Rooters. They're a part of my game plan from this point on. I get to accelerate germination and still get them into the final pots with no disturbance of the root system. :woohoo:

Sue, I just wish you would write a book already! Lol! Something we can all have a copy of. With lots of extra spaces for notes, so we can compare what we like best, and share the things that didn't work so well. I like paper copies so I can actually write it down, and not put it off till later when I eventually forget to do it and wonder why I didn't document it. Lol!

I'm going to start a recipe book in paper form so I can use it anytime, even when I don't have cell service. Lol

I found an app to store recipes and share them with friends. Just saying. Lol

Rapid rooters are where it's at! When I'm planting an auto, I put some of docs roots in the rooter. Just a dusting. Then put the seed in with the "o" up. Then put the rapid rooter in the dirt, #5 pot. Give 1L. Of water with a tsp H2O2 and 1-2 Tbsp aloe Vera juice. About 4 days later we have a seedling. Just like that. No messing with a shot glass and towel/plate waiting in germ. These girls shoot out a root then go. They also never get disoriented by starting life growing sideways on a plate. Love the RR's!

One more quick question before I forget to ask. How much lecithin would I use after its done decarbing for 36 hrs? I have 325 ml/half oz in oven now.

I have yet to try them for seed starting, but I can say they are great for cloning. I've just been squirting them full of aloe gel and letting them rip. Haven't lost one yet so I am adding them to the intricate network of the celestial star chart of cloning. This technique should work at least 7-9 months a year. :icon_roll

High Sue! :hugs:

Canna, From combining a lot of input on the oil thread, 10 to 15% of the total volume is what I used for a target for everything I have done.

I don't know anything other than what I have done over the last four days. I can say, it kicks in very fast for ingested consumption and it has a long half-life.

Best

I'd go with a tablespoon and a half up to two tablespoons of lecithin. The standard is one tablespoon for every cup of oil.

I'm heading out to meet my walking buddies. I'll catch up later.
