The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Sue,

How often are you drenching with alo/coconut water? Quantities? I have started using them and don't want to over do it.

TIA
Best

I do a coconut water/aloe juice drench once a week, in rotation with the SST malted barley grain drenches.

Per gallon of water
- 1/4 tsp aloe powder, flakes, or gel from an aloe fillet
- 1/4 cup coconut water
- 5 ml reconstituted Agsil16

You're going to like the results Canyon. Good luck with it.

Thanks Sue. I was way heavy on the aloe and lite on the coconut water. No harm no fowl, I suppose.

I have been adding silica as a liquid to about half of my watering. I have found that silica and Cal-Mag in the same jug causes a white precipitant in suspension. I have been avoiding using the two together. I don't know if it is calcium, magnesium or the silica. Maybe someone knows. I don't think it would cause a problem, I just avoid using the two together. I have not tried using just magnesium with the silica, I will. Though, I don't think it is calcium.

I never know

It's the silica separating out Canyon. Just give it a good shake every now and then. I add 5 ml of the Agsil to every gallon I use. It and aloe are amendments I always include. I think it has a lot to do with the extremely strong branches I get in my no-tills.

Morning Sue.....hope you feel good today......i'm a lil bagged after the big BBQ yesterday. Today is transplant day over at Dugg's so....i'l be busy later on. Cheers to ya SS, and have an awesome Sunday!:high-five:

Morning Duggan. :hugs: I heard you'd be transplanting. Exciting!!! This is where the show really starts to ramp up. Watching your girls fill those monster pots is always such a joy. Have fun playing in the dirt.

I took my morning BioBomb capsule and then, without thinking much about it tossed some cannabutter onto my scrambled eggs. Oh man!!!! I am high!!! :laughtwo:

This feels like a good time to take some pictures and do an update. :battingeyelashes:

An afternoon of wandering led me to the wonderous pages of Skunk Pharm Research. Geez, they leave me stunned at the sheer ingenuity. :adore:

Anyway, I stumbled onto a write-up on their Cannabuttons. They make use of those fan leaves and trim that's too harsh to smoke by making them into powder and pressing them into little buttons. Let them explain in their own words:

"We developed Cannabuttons as a way to produce super potent smokable MMJ from scrap and trim, during the annual period right before outdoor harvest, when numerous new patients were posting for donations and surplus bud supplies were exhausted.
The process cools and further smoothes prime bud, makes an unbelievably smooth smoke out of even iron lung grade leaf trim and makes even harsh fan leaves smokable, though sedative and not tasty.

A Cannabutton can be turned into an Improved Cannabutton by mixing in Kif, or a Super Cannabutton by soaking it with cannabis oil extracted from trim, prior to compressing into a button.........

...Cannabuttons offer an effective way to directly convert leaf scrap to aspiratable material and infusing them with hash oil extracted from leaf scrap, produces a highly potent medication at a lower unit cost than bud given the present pricing structure.
Reducing the plant material to powder and pressing it at high pressure reduced the harshness of all of the materials tested, both making even prime material easier on the lungs, and allowing the use of material previously too harsh to smoke or vaporize.
While compressing ground up bud and passing it off for hash is an old practice, as may be doctoring it up with hash oil, doing so at high pressure seems to produce a product that is unique and desirable.

Locally we have made our point by passing out samples, but since that isn’t possible on an international scale, may I heartily recommend that some of ya’ll other curious risk taking types make a few and I welcome your input."

Reading this immediately brought ShiggityFlip to mind, :laughtwo: and right behind him nis and Canna Montana, not to mention the many other curious souls on our digital streets. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share this one with you. If you try them, swing by their site and let them know how it went.

Daily Update: Sunday, July 17, 2016

The seed's ready to get started.

image14714.jpeg

Rockwool soaked for an hour and unmolested, except to gently cover over the seed.

image14715.jpeg

Industrial Plant, in place. Now it's up to me to see to it that this one survives and thrives. It'll help that I now have actual food. :laughtwo: I'll be certain to keep it more moist. This time of the year the air conditioner is running and that's causing things to dry out faster. I'm learning as I go. Increased diligence about adequate moisture levels will help. I moved the CFL reflector up and out of the way until the seed sprouts.

image14716.jpeg

Yeah, this one stood no chance. Not my proudest moment.

image14717.jpeg

My tiny closet. I'll be so ready to move them into tents. I need to get my brother's belongings shipped first. The boxes are stacked in the hall I need to move that workbench down and there's no way past until I've cleared it. So many side jobs to get the one you need done finished. *sigh*

Med GOM 1.0 (Day 29) She looks even better in person. :battingeyelashes:

image14719.jpeg

Just noticed this picture's sideways.

image14720.jpeg

That's better. :laughtwo: You're welcome.

I did some creative tucking after resetting the restraints. She's opening up nicely, don't you think?

Dark Devil Auto (Day 27) Any day now girl. Any day now.

image14703.jpeg

She does not look like she's going to amount to much of anything. I don't know how long I'll be willing to waste space on her, so she's either going to pick it up sometime soon or she's going to find herself replaced by the next in rotation some Sunday morning.

That's my brood, be it as it may. Thanks for stopping. Enjoy the rest of your day and remember, spread that joy. :battingeyelashes:

Tinctures

The vodka tincture I started on July 1 is ready to be strained and jarred.

image14722.jpeg

A nice, golden color. It didn't present like this in the bottle, so I was surprised. It made me smile. That color's a good sign. I just know it.

image14723.jpeg

All bottled and labeled. This one I didn't bother figuring out how much volume I harvested or how many cannabinoids per dose. It's to get high, pure and simple, and it's for me, so it doesn't matter.

image14724.jpeg

I have a lineup of goodies now. :laughtwo: The irony is that the 5:1 BioBomb capsules are so effective that I'm already completely medicated every minute of every day and have no need for all of these. Nice options for extracurricular playtime though. :cheesygrinsmiley:

image14725.jpeg

I tasted it. I don't care for the taste of vodka, never have, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it delicious, with a strong terpene signature that positively placed it as the Jack Herer. I was already high when I tasted, so I can't speak to the potency yet. I'll try first thing in the morning, before my 5:1 capsule.

You are NOT going to replace those little ladies that have three preflowers! And if the little one in the cube with all the roots... I would have kept that one, too. I'm still at the stage I don't kill anything but males and rotten cuttings.

Cool beans! I will look forward to your findings! That color is like a nice batch of Qwet before evaporating.

That's what got me so excited. :laughtwo: I'll be testing its potency first thing tomorrow.

Tonight I decided it'd be a good idea to prove I was capable of feeding myself more than yogurt and oatmeal.

Parmesean, sweet pea and prosciutto-stuffed ravioli with a side of kale and yam salad sprinkled with raspberry vinaigrette. For dessert a slice of Dark Devil Auto BioBomb Brownie and a 5:1 BioBomb capsule. :slide:

Absolutely yummy. :battingeyelashes:

It's going to take me a minute to write up a comment with some questions. So, please give me a minute to get it down. While I take the next hour or so to write it, know that I love you and I'm baffled by the constant creativity and determination you display while taking this shit to the next level. You're still an inspiration of mine and I look to you for guidance in gardening and more importantly, life.

I'm fairly certain the DDA will step it up and save her spot, but the little one was beyond hope. To lose these two critical weeks with an auto is sure disaster, especially for one who showed no talent for growing roots. I don't have the luxury of space to be saving them all. I'll admit, I considered it all afternoon. :laughtwo:

Did I catch you off guard my friend? :laughtwo: I'll watch for your post.

:Love:MUAH:Love:

I made some cheese ravioli last week, too, but I cheated. I made a "cannabutter sauce" to go on top! :shhh:

I admire that, and wish we were neighbors so I could invite myself over and sample. I said I could feed myself better, not that I made them myself. :laughtwo: I made the canna portions of the meal. I live within walking distance of a number of decent delis and I shop smart. Lol. I stopped cooking before he died and haven't been able to get excited about it again yet. The fact that I started choosing more interesting dishes gives me hope that maybe before long I'll find that joy of cooking I lost somewhere.

Cooking for one hasn't clicked yet. I'm subsisting on healthy snacks and take-out. For now it works.

So, I haven't been through your yard for a few days. I often walk through and only wave with a "like" or "thank you". This saddens me because you're such an important figure in my life with your wisdom and tenacity. I've said it before and I'll say it many times: I'm thankful for your friendship.

I think it's awesome that you're using bottle nutrients to work with. I don't have a clue as to why but that's my ignorance and has nothing to do with what you're willing to attempt. And of course, in the true spirit of this magazine, I feel it's only appropriate to commend you for your willingness to try something new (that probably isn't incredibly new, just not understood by the masses). I do wish for you to enlighten me on what their for. And more importantly, what drove you to try General Hydroponics?

There's more to come from this conversation but of course, in true stoner fashion, I started this and never finished at the same time. I'm gonna head to bed now but I wish you a peaceful night and sweet dreams!

:Love::hugs::Love:

Nice to see real food on the plate :) Good Job Sue :)
Healing process take time, and yes cooking for one is a bummer since the joy is to see the other person/s like what you make.
But, think of it like this.. WE here are your virtual family and we all want you to be well and since there are MANY miles separating us... I can't be there to cook and eat with you only in your mind. SO I am glad you eat more healthy. And THIS looks nice too :) Welcome everyone to Cooking with Cannabis - Recipes below
:circle-of-love:

Have a good night :) My day has just begun
