The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

I was a particularly difficult stick today for labs. Dehydrated. I know better than that. Time to start paying closer attention to hydration.

Now I have the labs done that'll serve as a baseline so I can see what effect a steady CBD addition to the diet can make.

Sue, something to keep in mind with the hempies, if you're using rainwater you will need to add some sort of Cal mag to the mix. Also I believe most calmag, or at least the version I use, has some nitrogen in it -so I find that it works as a low level nutrient for the first couple weeks and should be accounted when you're mixing your nutrients.
You were asking about ph'ing the plain water. I don't bother when using rainwater. Tap water, maybe/probably- but it depends more on the ppm value I think. For one thing clean rainwater is the right ph, at 5.6. But more importantly the ph reading it gives is pretty much an empty value, and it contains almost nothing but- water. Pure water is neutral at ph 7. The acidity of rainwater is due to carbon it picks up from the atmosphere in its travels making it an extremely weak carbonic acid. The tiniest drop of ph+ or ph- will sway the ph of the rainwater dramatically. This tells us that its ph value is not going to have much effect on the ph levels of your hempy pots. I think your tap water can be judged in the same way. If it's ph value is easily shifted by small amounts of ph+/- then you can assume it's going to have little effect on the plants. Does this make sense?

Great info!

Note: The PH of rainwater can be different in different regions due to pollution. So, in cities and industrial areas, where more pollutants are released, the rainwater picks up more carbon from the atmosphere and has a lower PH (i.e. "acid rain").

Thank you guys. My thoughts were on rainwater today and you helped answer questions. That makes perfect sense to me Weaselcracker. This is all such new territory to me. I want to reiterate that I have no ego, so I won't take any offense if anyone sees me doing something I need to change.

Finally back home. I'm no longer my brother's Representative Payee. *DEEP sigh of relief.*

Let me get some decent food into me and get this DDA transplanted.

my rainwater is always 6.0 i live out in the country so not much polution id like to think ,good info.

glad to hear you feel relieved sweety, and yes keep up those fluids especially when smoking concentrates

When I have to go in for lab work, I always skip the water pills till I get home. And I chug plenty of water when I get there. Otherwise the phlebotomist can't find my veins, which are buried deep in my arms.

I'm incredibly healthy and only get labs drawn once a year, if that often. This is entirely my fault for not paying attention to my own admonition to drink more water. The pitcher sits right here beside me all day long, but it won't benefit me if I never drink from it.

I'm thinking I need to lose Dale's workbench from the bedroom and put both 2x2s back up. I'm going to need filtration and the easiest way to make that happen is to put the tents back up and bring the fan and filter back into service. In the bedroom they'll take up a footprint right next to the closet and can be hidden behind the curtains again. They'll be easier to disguise in the bedroom than they were in the living room and I can simply close the door to that room.

First I have to empty out my brother's apartment. Then I can relocate my garden for the last time. Please, oh please, let this be the last time. I'm having a rediculous time situating this garden.

Can't really go wrong with rain water Sue, unless you're in an industrial/polluted area.. And good, clean (chlorine-free) tap water can add trace elements and minerals.. But not salts, like "mineral water" (as I understand it.. Most City water is rain anyway. It's just what they add to keep it clean..) Check with your City to get water analysis... I have to do the same, actually; although I know my water is pretty good..

I'll get that transplanting done first thing in the morning. Maybe I'll get out there among the yards tonight. I'm starting to fall behind on visits again. I hope to run into to you in my wanderings. While you're out there spread some joy while you're at it.

:Namaste:

Sweet Sue learn from my mistake ph to 5.5-5.6 and let it drift like tead says. I finally am getting my sour d looking better.

I thought this would be a good place to mention a thread which came up the other day and I think is a cool idea. I know lots of 'nice' stuff is said on this forum every day and we are all for the positive energy around here, besides which the mods will probably whip us and beat us with their batons if we don't act happy (joking mods please don't beat me :adore:) but it still looks like a fun spot to post once in a while.

I changed my mind and transplanted tonight.

How come it's flowering already? It's still got its baby leaves!

The Dark Devil Auto is a particularly aggressive bloomer. She's at three weeks and that's when they start blooming. I have another ten weeks to play with her. She should be significantly larger by then.

Thank you lexort. I'll do that. :hugs:

What a wonderful idea. I have a few compliments now and then I wouldn't mind dropping there. :battingeyelashes:

Had to laugh at the thought of Mr. Teddy or Relaxed Lester with a baton, trying to look angry.

Looking good in here Sue. Nice to see you are slowly getting your garden back.

:hugs:

Thanks Noob. Been busy, busy, busy. You're getting stingy with the hugs Noob.

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

There, I made up for that oversight. :laughtwo:

i love the look of that corduroy type of grow bag sue ,where did you buy it ?

All the bags are Geo Pots. I can't speak highly enough about them. I never noticed that it can look like corduroy in the right light.
