The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

The tallest ones are bleached, but the Criticals both have that white flowering explosion going on that I've never seen before myself, so yes, very fascinating. You should smell the Critical Mass. The Critical Cure has those almost feral-looking trichomes I sometimes see on the Dark Devil Autos. It doesn't look like there's much resin on her, until you notice that she's falling over under her own weight. :laughtwo:

I haven't even looked in the tents yet today. Let me amend that oversight. :battingeyelashes:
Put the tablet down and go hang with your beauties. We will be here when you are dine. Lol

This is my first time seeing those pots you're transplanting into Atulip. That drawstring feature is wonderful! I'm stunned that I'd never seen this. What a great feature. You've just opened up another realm of possibility for me. Where did you find them?

Thanks for sharing about the rootmakers. Looks like a good investment for sure.

They're called Royal fabric pots. I found them on fleabay for about the same price as smart pots.(~$5 per) Slightly taller design and these are 3 gallon pots. I love not having to mulch on top of soil with them, as well as being able to fit more pots in the same place(I like SoG autos)

contemplations of a cultivator

I've been admiring the beautiful flow arteekay and Jaybizz have created in their grow spaces and I'm thinking I'm going about this all wrong. I started off with autos, in part due to the simplicity of having one tent, one space, from seed to harvest. This allows you to have every stage of development going on under the same lighting schedule. So simple, so effective given the strains one can choose from these days. I've been encouraged by a cultivator who's medicinal growing background I hold in the highest regard to be bold and go with autos as a source of oil-making material.

The traditional response is that autos won't give you the yield you'll need, so why would you waste your time and the time of everyone watching you? I say, because you're not taking into consideration the quick turnaround autos offer, the increased yields you can achieve with controlled training techniques and the dramatic improvement in available strains, both in high THC and high CBD values. This field of high CBD strains in autos has just really opened up. We're going to see exciting things in the next few years. And then there's the Auto CBG strain keltic's growing. Exciting things.

So I'm thinking my 4x4 should be my auto tent with the two big lights. Grow my Dark Devil Autos in there. The 2x2 can become a flowering tent for photos, because really, you expect me to give up Carnival? :laughtwo: There'll always be another photo I wanna try. Always. There are some CBD strains on my list that are photos too. The Timber Vero 240 can illuminate that tent. That light would be perfect in there. I also have an untapped 3x3. The tiny closet can become my nursery and veg for the flowering tent. I can use a mixture of CFLs and the two Mars-Hydro panels in there and manage quite nicely I think.

This feels like what I've been trying to figure out all along. My option of having it all but with more efficiency. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I'm gonna get blasted and take myself out to dinner.

That sounds like a jolly good idea sue! I like where your head is at! Can't wait to see the progress. Have some of this before dinner, I don't mind sharing. RoorRip

Why thank you nismo. Don't mind if I do. :battingeyelashes: RoorRip

Daily Update: Sunday, June 12, 2016

The sad truth guys, is that I started working on this update at 10 this morning.

So, why not take a break for a couple minutes and join me for a stroll through the garden? Here, take my hand. Shall we? :battingeyelashes:

Starting off in the flowering tent...... Temps are much more under control today. What a difference ambient temperature makes.

image13508.jpeg

I took the time to clean up Strawberry Blue's lower regions again. I also topped the SWICK reservoirs. In the tent and in bloom this needs to be a daily process. These pots are sucking up the water.

image13509.jpeg

Time to do something with this one. i checked her over for thrips. No signs. Now to do a little playing with training. Zamaldelica (Day 27)

image13512.jpeg

image13513.jpeg

Let's see where this leads. This'll be the only thing I do to her from now on. She's growing under auto conditions, 12/12 seed to harvest. No need to stress her any further. Well, I might do some restraining if it's called for. :laughtwo:

image590.png

The new arrivals are all showing early signs of bloom. It's been 6 days since flip. This is Strawberry Blue (Day 61)

Shiva Shanti ll (Day 40)

Crossroads (Day 47)

image13516.jpeg

CBD Critical Cure takes up the entire center of the tent. :laughtwo: Colas are getting thick and frosty. She's only a couple days off of the breeder timeline right now, but I'm confident she'll hang in there for one more drench and a drying out. I could be wrong, because she's flying into the finish now. Her pistils went almost entirely red overnight.

She's starting to smell really fruity too. A new smell for her. :slide: She's 58 days since flip and 26 days following her CATs.

image13517.jpeg

Even from this digital distance you can see how CBD Critical Mass is beefing up, can't you? She's 40 days from her flip and 11 days from her CATs. These two are going to finish together. It may be my first real multiple harvest. :yahoo:

Of course you can't tell I'm excited. :battingeyelashes:

image13518.jpeg

So, how's about a peek into the veg tent?

image13519.jpeg

Super Cheese (on the left) is now 47 days old. Bubbha Kush (to the back) is Day 60, and Carnival is on day 56.

image13525.jpeg

I tried something I hadn't used for a while and hung s-hooks from Carnival's branches to keep them down.

image13520.jpeg

I just removed them. Hmmmmm..... This might actually work. I'll try again with heavier hooks.

image13521.jpeg

DDA2 (Day 61) is looking so fine she startles me every time I come around the bend and catch sight of her.

image13522.jpeg

She ended up with the strangest profile though. The growth in the center doesn't appear to be suffering at all. It has unobstructed access to the light and as a result the colors are vibrant.

image13523.jpeg

image13524.jpeg

Yeah, she is a beauty. Look at those gorgeous leaves. *sigh*

It looks like I'm coming in under the wire tonight. :laughtwo: I honestly can't tell you where..... Yes I can. :laughtwo: I've been reading like mad on the CBD Crew's site, learning so much about their strains and the effective ways their strains have helped countless people. We've been operating under the assumption that you have to have high levels of THC to fight cancer. Their testimonials discount that belief. I'm still reeling over what I'm hearing from these patients, and it's going to take much more digging, but I'm starting to get really excited about what we're learning. This mirrors what I'm hearing from physicians working with cannabis therapies, discovering that it takes much lower doses of cannabinoids to be effective than everyone thought.

Spend the the day digesting research papers and educational articles and time flies. :laughtwo:

Fucking noice, m8. Everything is coming along rather well, I see. I'm telling you, you'll love the strawberry blue.

I need to figure out what I'm going to run next.....I have to find some fucking SIN CITY FEMS (that I like & are not sold out *FROM A REPUTABLE SEED BANK*)!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never heard of SIN CITY FEMS. Well, you're very particular there, "that I like & are not sold out" :laughtwo: I take it you've run their strains before?

Sin City (Breeders) Fem's (Female seeds) lol. Yes, ma'am. I ran some of their gear outdoors, 2 years ago.

This is what I want:
1. A good Chem
2. A good Kush (I think my Grape OG will have that covered. Especially with it being a Romulan cross)
3. A good Diesel
4. An amazing pheno of BLUEBERRY!!!!!!! The last BB I ran, I should of kept. Oh well.

Also, if anyone is interested; Check out my grow (link in signature, or here if you're on 420) & give me a guess as to what you think my final weight will be, dried, of course & whoever wins, I'll also buy a pack of seeds.

You're too kind Sue, thanks so much for the call-out. :)

We started with autos for the same reason, and although we only have one photo to compare against, we've found little difference in the quality of the high we're getting from our autos. The variety is what we're loving the most, being able to switch between a half dozen strains throughout an evening is something neither of us has experienced before.

The yield from the 6 autos in our second grow, which started Jan 1st, is averaging 5 ounces per plant. Doesn't feel like a waste of anybody here's time.

:high-five: and huge :hugs:s.

Hiiii Sue!!! Big Huggssss! Just a lil tidbit from me.....both my grandfathers owned bars...so the term "top shelf" is complimentary....eluding to euphimisn....you are top shelf! Straight from the gate friend! Page 200 too!! Sweeeeeet! Lovin' your perpetual roll! Some beautiful flowers! So much green talent in our little (but quickly growing!) World! Happy monday! :volcano-smiley:

Hi Sue.
BB14 is doing autos over this summer. I cannot wait to see what he does. Especially since he is doing some Auto CBG. I hope he get the cannabiogen destroyer genetic to come out.
My heart lies with photos outside but in live in less than 700 sq/ft in a concrete jungle so i do whaigottodo.
I gotta look in the garden now, cheers.

I have 725 sq. ft. in an urban setting, one half block off the main avenue and two blocks from a major train crossing that sees 60-80 trains passing a day. Amazing how you don't hear that whistle at the crossing after the first couple weeks. :laughtwo: I've lived here 10 years now. My current challenge is to eliminate the 80% of belongings cluttering up my space unnecessarily. I can see already that this'll translate into a reorganization of my priorities and more space dedicated to gardening endeavors.

Let me go peek into my own garden.

There's a Budmaster G.O.D. 6 and an Advanced Diamond XML 350. Between the two I don't think this is excessive.

I'll be looking for strains that get high resin production. You've had a couple pass through your tent. I'll be reviewing your journal.
