The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Daily Update: Tiny Closet, Saturday, May 28, 2016

A moderately quiet day. I added in a restraint, but then later in the day I took it off again. Time to let her run free and show us her stuff. She got a malted barley grain SST and her SWICK reservoir got topped off.

Starting to see some color down inside the developing buds.

Unrestrained.

It's going to start getting exciting in this closet again. :slide:

Daily Update: Veg Tent, Saturday, May 28, 2016

All of the LOS pots got their malted barley grain SST. They all got a nice kelp slurry to get washed in by the drench too. Happy plants tomorrow, for sure.

Carnival (Day 46) and Bubba Kush (Day 45) got the DeStress foliars I somehow neglected to give them yesterday. Duh!!

Let's stroll.

image12839.jpeg

Super Cheese (Day 32) got what may be her final ponytail training.

image12840.jpeg

All the LOS pots came out for a drench. I reset and topped off the SWICK reservoirs while they were out.

image12841.jpeg

Did a little trimming too.

image12842.jpeg

Everyone's in their happy spot. I moved Carnival closer to center. Priorities. :laughtwo:

image12843.jpeg

One last glance back before zipping up.

image12845.jpeg

A before and after of the mild trim.
image12846.jpeg

Carnival stands 12" high. Sometime very soon she's losing a few inches.

image12847.jpeg

One more tent to go. :battingeyelashes:

Daily Update: Flowering Tent, Saturday, May 28, 2016

Nothing more than a quick spin under the lights in here today.

image12848.jpeg

CBD Critical Mass (Day 108, flip + 25) is now 2 days following her CAT drench.

image12849.jpeg

CBD Critical Cure (Day 108, flip + 43, 11 days past the second CAT.)

image12850.jpeg

Zamaldelica (Day 12) still recovering.

image12851.jpeg

Snowy peaks forming on both CBD strains. So cool, eh?

image563.png

image564.png

Checking the trichomes on the Critical Cure.

image12852.jpeg

image565.png

I'm happy with that. :laughtwo: It actually sparkles down under the canopy.

I'm beat guys. I was going to try for midnight Callanetics, but I'm bushed. I'm turning in early tonight. This is my son's 36th birthday, and I haven't heard from him now in almost two years. It's too much to deal with anymore today.

Thanks for stopping. Keep letting that joy ooze out all over now.

Goodnight.

Daily Update: Sunday, May 29, 2016

Ahhh..... A bright, new day with joyful opportunities. Be sure to take advantage of every opening now. :battingeyelashes:

Sundays are quiet gardening days, by design, although today I may try to get the sweet mint into a couple pots on the balcony. I bet they'd work in the planting boxes. Alright Susan, you finally figured that out. :laughtwo:

Let's check on the brood before I slip into Callanetics mode.

Starting out out in the tiny closet, the DDA2 (Day 47) is plugin right along. I think she appreciates the freedom from her restraints.

image12871.jpeg

Buds are starting to get serious.

image12872.jpeg

image12873.jpeg

A glimpse into the flowering tent. They're both at Day 109. CBD Critical Mass, on the left, is now flip + 26 and CAT + 3. CBD Critical Cure is flip + 44 and second CAT + 12. Her internal buds are fading much more rapidly than the top ones. She's probably within a couple weeks now. I have her scheduled for harvest in mid to late June, so she's right where I want her to be. That's good too, because my veg tent is a bit overcrowded right now and getting more so by the day.

image12874.jpeg

Zamaldelica (Day 13). Quietly building steam.

image12875.jpeg

image12876.jpeg

Off to the neighboring veg tent.

image12877.jpeg

Yeah, we'll just wave hello today, OK? :laughtwo:

image12878.jpeg

I reached in and bent that supercropped branch again. Vigorous little plant, this one. The lower branches still need more time.

image12879.jpeg

I reached back in to do a bit of supercropping on a couple other runaway branches of the Crossroads. I could get used to this. :laughtwo:

image12880.jpeg

That's it for now guys. Have a wonderful day. I'm going to meet up with Bigwhite tomorrow and see what we can do about getting him up and going with a grow. I have an abundance of excess equipment and seeds, so he should be free from the black market sometime within 3-6 months, depending on seed choice. We'll get a journal up and he can benefit from this social experiment we have going on here at 420 Magazine.

We should have clubs all across the continent. Hell, all around the globe. :420: co-ops. Think of the possibilities. :dreamy:

I hope to have the dosing information thread up sometime next week. I'll toss in the info from the seminar by Dr. Dustin Sulak on resetting the tolerance levels too. I still need to figure out where to put the info on quitting or reducing opioid dependency with cannabis. Maybe it's own thread. That's too important to piggyback.

.

Can I get a link when this is posted please Sue

Absolutely Mr Am4zin. We're gonna spread this one far and wide. Too many of our friends and family are dependent on opioids. I'd like to be part of Dr. Sulak's charge to successfully change that.

Dr. Dustin Sulak has a Sensitization Protocol, designed to reset and retrain your Endocannabinoid system so you can reduce your dose and get the same, if not better results. Those of us who overindulge as a matter of course have likely compromised our systems and have entered the realm of diminished returns. Even having the inventories some of us do, wasting produce isn't something we embrace.

It's become obvious to me that my tolerance levels are off the chart. You'd be surprised at my typical consumption levels. I'd planned on running through this protocol for the purpose of reporting the experience in the Study Hall, but I've decided I need to do it just to reset, and listen to my body as I start back in, instead of simply returning to my regular consumption levels, the way I did after my 7- week holiday vacation.

The protocol requires a 48 hour cannabis fast followed by three days of severely limited access, compared to what I take now. His promise is that I'm going to feel equivalent effects with up to 60% less product. That was too enticing to walk past. I'll take him up on that challenge and give it a go this week.

Tomorrow Bigwhite and I are hoping to get him set up for a grow, so I don't want to start then. It's a six-day protocol and the brownies won't keep that long, so I'll finish up the last of them tomorrow and start my cannabis fast on Tuesday, bright and early, with one last vape pull. By Sunday I'll know what my optimal dose is. Then there's no guess work.

Of course, I'm coming at this primarily as a recreational user, with medicinal overtones, if you will, so it'll be interesting what I determine to be "optimal." That determination right now is pretty stoned, most of the time. :laughtwo: I'll be interested to see if a recreational user can benefit from this program.

The things I do for science. Lol!

His site, Healer.com, is really cool. He's got all these neat videos showing you simple exercises you can do to enhance your Endocannabinoid system and he's got lists of foods that will do the same. He has this earthy, new-style hippy essence I find appealing, and his information is invaluable. I highly recommend his site. If you check it out I'd appreciate hearing your impressions.

Tales of Training

Duggan would be so proud.

The Crossroads supercrops beautifully.

image567.png

Shiva Shanti ll is one sturdy babe. I supercropped this branch and it went completely straight overnight, so I reinforced it again this morning.

image568.png

She stood right back up, almost straight again.

image12890.jpeg

I think maybe tomorrow's the day for Carnival. By morning she'll be right at the limit. You can see Crossroads is right there with her.

image569.png

Supercropping can be fun and effective :)

When working with a new strain, proceed with caution. I have 'breeder free seeds' where the stalks tend to snap instead of bend. Some plants respond well to a crush and bend, some (Caramelicious & Tangerine) don't like being crushed.

These are actually the first plants I've grown in my no-tills that I could supercrop. I tried with the Strawberry Blue and the stalks aren't soft enough. They're like fiberglass rods.

Daily Update: Monday, May 30, 2016

That's right. I have a topping to perform today on Carnival.

image12904.jpeg

Back into the veg tent.

image12906.jpeg

What a jungle!

image12907.jpeg

image12908.jpeg

Yeah, I'm staying out of their way today. :laughtwo: I will, however, tell you how old they are.

Strawberry Blue (Day 48), Crossroads (Day 34), Shiva Shanti ll (Day 27), Crossroads 2 (Day 28), Bubba Kush (Day 47), Carnival (Day 48) and Super Cheese (Day 34). What apcan I say? Everyone's happy. Even the crowded community pot is happy.

Let's peek into the flowering tent.

image12909.jpeg

CBD Critical Cure (Day 110, flip + 45, CATs + 13) Busily making those snowy caps I find so fascinating.

image12910.jpeg

CBD Critical Mass (Day 110, flip + 27, CAT + 4) is doing the same thing with more attitude and a lot more frostiness.

image12911.jpeg

Zamaldelica (Day 14) is beginning to get her feet under her again. Take your time little one. You're a bonus baby anyway.

image12912.jpeg

image12913.jpeg

Last, but not least, DDA2 (Day 48).

image12914.jpeg

Those side branches are trying to run away. Can't have that.

image12915.jpeg

A little restraint adjustment to level things out a bit more.

image12916.jpeg

There, got it! :laughtwo:

image12917.jpeg

Thanks for stopping buy. Take time today to be thankful for the many fallen in the name of freedom. Take another moment and send some intention out there for peace to prevail. It'd be nice to lose fewer to war.

Have a wonderful and safe finish to this Memorial Day. Spread the joy far and wide as you celebrate time with friends and family. I'm on my own today, so I'm going straight from here to my study hall and get this dosing information formatted and posted. Maybe I'll run into some of you as I wander during breaks.

:Namaste:

Looking great in your garden, Sue! I'm "rooting" for you with your latest clone experiment! I hope all goes well.

So I've been journal binging trying to get caught up here, Sue, and I noticed a few days ago you were a little concerned about the trichome production on your Critical Cure plant. Has that issue resolved itself? LOL! You had me so concerned I had to go check mine out to make sure they we keeping up with the other strains!

CBD strains are ballin in flower. They are going to make some nice buds for your daughter. The new trained and trimmed look just like they will make some amazing buds. Plenty of space where needed and raring to go! Lovely Sue (pats on back). It just seems like you have so much more running smoothly than ever before.

Size matters.

Thanks SlowToke. Your garden puts mine to shame mi amigo. :laughtwo: I don't have a lot of trichomes on the leaves jutting out from the colas, but when you look at the branch along its length the entire thing sparkles with frostiness. When she comes out for her next drench this week I'll get some good pictures.
