The Munki's Playground

Just a suggestion: the blueberry wowie looks like it may have a salt build of some kind. That would explain the look in the leafs. I traditionally flush & feed plain water till I see new growth that looks just right. This is just an observation, but that one seems to be a lil bit more temperamental. As opposed to the others, which look just picture perfect.

Advice is always appreciated. The plant had this condition when I transplanted it and I did not see anything abnormal with the roots when doing that task. How many days should I flush it?

Day 27/37. Still in vegetative mode with 18/6 lighting.

Satori appear to have reached the 5th node on both plants even though one is practically twice the height of the other. I'll probably top Satori 3 tomorrow but may let Satori 1 keep growing. Fed/watered all plants except for the Blueberry Wowie which I drained, filled with RO water, and drained again. This from The Butcher's tip. Only took a couple of pics today. I will be rigging up an autowatering system soon that will use drip lines to fill from a reservoir. That way I can go away for a few days.

Looking great buddy! I'm very interested to see how those satori's work out for you :ganjamon:

Then it may just have been a lil shocked of some sort. Your using hempy right? If so the drainage should be good as it gets, I would just flush for a day or two at the most. This should release any salt built up in it as it is. Or if you feel comfortable enough, you can see how it rolls out, the new growth that is, and see if it will straighten out. If it doesn't then I would flush. The choice is yours though. :goodluck:

I noticed that particular plant was a bit funny in a few of those photos too.

FWIW: I'd flush once, thoroughly, with a lower pH than usual...maybe go with 5.4 or so, along with a bit of H202. That will help break up some of the salts and bicarbonates that can build up, and if there are any doodads on the roots, the H202 will fix 'em. The next watering, add some Superthrive at 10 drops per gallon and water once or twice with that.

Following that, if it was me, I'd add 2-3 tbsp of osmocote plus and be done with it. Just water and maybe a bloom supplement here and there.

I had a funky hempy once, where the roots got too warm during the solo-cup stage and they got just a bit of rot. The plant was stunted, similar to yours. That's the Rx I used.....it worked. The OC+....well, it just works.

Me too, especially after mistakes I made left me with only these two out of the ten original seeds.

Thanks for the tips my friend. I've done the basic flush last night so tonight, I'll dose it with the superthrive dosing up to the top of the media.

Whatsup munki! looking good!
Nice and green!

Hanging in there, dealing with issues but loving the growth I see under the LED. :thankyou:

Flushed it last night and will give that bucket superthrive at 10 drops per gallon and flood the media.

Day 38 for the bagseeds and the Satori are 4 weeks old. The Blueberry Wowie looks somewhat better today; I think the flushing tip was a good one. I flooded it again with RO water with 10 drops of Superthrive in it. I ended up flushing all the plants today, but I don't use fresh water each time. I collect the run off, add some more water back to the gallon container, then flood the next. It has been working well for my feedings over the past couple weeks.

the girls have grown fast bro. nive color to them. are u feeding OC+ i was looking but i guess i am too high to find it.lol :goodjob:

I'm using GH Flora Micro and Bloom liquid products. When I mix up a 5 gallon batch, I've listed the concentrations from calculators and posted them in this thread as screenshots. In this last batch, I upped the micro and kept the bloom low. 9mL/gal micro and 10mL/gal bloom elevated the nitrogen levels. It appears that may have helped in the Ogre's and Master Kush's explosion of secondary growth.

That M.Kush is justing bursting out the bucket :bravo: & may I add I love the fat leafs on Satori 1, looks just lush and green as a plant can be :adore:

Thanks man. The Satori plants are starting to show some of differences in their phenotypes I figure. The Master Kush has plenty of potential clones growing on it. However, the plant has practically no smell. Theorizing that this may be because it is male, but it is only a theory.

Planning to top the Satori today or tomorrow. I want to flip to 12/12 soon; like maybe this weekend. I wanted the Satori to be big enough and mature enough to flower well and produce material for clones and don't want the bagseed plants to get too big!

Clones who doesn't love clones ;) Most plants in my experience don't really give off a scent till' flower, but you never know. Just trying to stay optimistic for you and your grow. Love to see you grow out some kush, you've got the magic touch and I can only imagine what you would do with a female Master Kush. 3 words Off The Chain, is what I think you'd do with that strain. Either way, its going to be interesting to see how the "bag seed" comes out; its like getting a grab bag, you never know whats going to come out :)

The Master Kush is the one out of the five that is remarkably smell free. Satori and especially the Ogre smell just luscious!

With the bagseed, I figure I can get some great smoke but since they come as single seeds in otherwise seedless, commercial bud, they were most likely pollinated from another female that hermied. So, I have to deal with that elevated risk but they have been worth it just to get some practice working with the beans. Just too expensive to learn with purchased seeds if something goes wrong.

The leaves are so shiny and healthy looking:goodjob:

Thanks man. Appreciate those following in the background rooting for a great crop of females! :cheertwo:
