The Mega Crop Thread

Heard back from Green Leaf!

MC is fine in a sterile system, as it does not contain any live organisms.

Post a pic brother

I would, but not really feeling worthy for a pic in this thread at the moment. There are some from yesterday in my "lab" journal though. :)

So my babies are at 9 days. So what MC feed schedule should I be following ? And should I invest in some calmag?
Also I dumped a bag of MC into a food processor to break up the "balls", holy crap that was a mistake! LoL that stuff powdered up like a champ and the cloud in my kitchen was unexpected. So after cleaning up, I now have a big bag of fine powder. So heads up, if you do this do it outside and , and use a cheap blender or FP. Some how I'm the bad guy for using the $300 food processor for my "hobby". I mean wtf, what was I supposed to do use my margarita blender?! Hell no!

Assuming a blank canvas like a soil-less mix, I'd be feeding about 2g per gallon. Personally I supplement Cal-Mag (from Greenway Biotech) and Silica (make my own, see my signature) but they aren't "necessary".

So here is my OG Cheese mother plant at day 50 of flower. Getting fed 6.5g per gallon. At least 2 more weeks to go for her.

And my Biscotti's at day 28 of flower. These will be my first girls to be grown 100% on MC. These have been getting 4g per Gal feedings. I'll up it to 5g today.

Do you guys think this is light burn ? I have the kind led 26”s away from the canopy . It seems to be getting worst . Here’s the pic from post 1813 .

Its definitely not light burn.

It's a deficiency of some sort. Perhaps you are ph locked out. I recommend a slurry test for your medium. Assuming its slurry'able.

I see you are DWC....so nvm on that slurry thing.

Hydro , just uped the MC yesterday, looks to be progressing. Was still drinking and nutrients uptake. This fresh 4 gallons from yesterday shows no ec or water used .

Chugging along

Looks like the upper part of the plant and resembles a lot like Iron def.

Thanks MrSauga I looked all through the deficiency’s and iron and k potassium were the two that compared ! Hoping the extra gram I added yesterday starts showing up . This girl been great , I took it from under a 600 watt vipar spectra to the kind led xl750 when it started was why I thought light .

Keep in mind that adding more MC wont likely fix an Iron def. It's most likely an uptake issue from overwatering, bad pH or high levels of other nutrients such as P or Ca.
If it doesn't work down too far it may be just fine and probably happened from stress or maybe bad pH at one point in the grow.

It’s been stable with the ph ! Let’s hope the fresh bucket will straighten out. On the last bucket the ph started at 6.1 and in three days went to 6.4 so I phed it down to 5.9 and by the time I changed the water and nutrients it was at 6.1. I expect it to do the same by tomorrow it was 6.24 with the blue lab today.

With hydro, Fe is best at 6.0 or below. Anything higher than 6 and you stand the chance of reducing it's ability to uptake the nutrient.

I’ll head out there and bring it down to the normal 5.8 instead of waiting!

How many gram per gallon of mc are you using. I don’t believe it’s ph. Ph has no bearing with mc. And all I’ve learned is it won’t lock out. Mc is uptook different than other nutes. Amylia has posted research about all this. I say raise you lights to 35 inches. If your in hydro are you keeping an eye on your water temp?

What are you using for water ? And how old is that plant?
