@West Hippie, that's a huge difference! Rocks instead of pebbles. Big balls instead of balls. That stuff would have driven me "nuts." :Rasta:

It still worked just as well as the second bag ! Some reground the bag , if I’m not careful the dust out of the bag suffocates me .

i clearly have the newer stuff then. surprised as i thought all the hoopla was over the little white calcium balls.

that much hasn't changed lol... :p

Green Crack (back)
Super silver haze little (front left)
Super silver haze big (front right)

They look a little light green to me. Or are you growing under HPS?

Day 22 since the flip... 24 hours ago I decided to do a pretty heavy defoliation on both plants. Lights just came on and it looks like like they both took it well, perky as ever. Holding steady at 5g. Each getting 2.6 liters daily just after lights on. I'll start hitting them twice any day now.

Wassup people, just wanted to check in and give a status update. At first I was skeptical, I had my trial and errors but quickly figured things out and it’s a very simple way to grow some great plants. I’m just now switching to flower but so far everything looks great... aside from a couple plants showing slight nitro toxicity. But even those are doing great and will produce beautiful buds. I’ll check back in when closer to flower but I can’t imagine anything going wrong with how healthy these plants look. With all that being said I’m still a litte on the fence and my next run I will do side by side of MC and Advanced nutrients... oh and another tid bit of mine, that I know contradicts some of what the others say, but this is just my experience.. in DWC I have absolutely needed to feed cal mag every feeding, if I don’t deficiency sets in and I add cal mag and problems fixed. So I know a lot of people don’t need to add cal-mag but in my instance it absolutely had to be added. As well I found a company that has a strictly cal-mag only no nitrogen formula which with my slight nitro toxicity which was caused by botanicare (has nitro) this was a life saver of my crop. It’s good stuff. All in all, I really like mega crop but Im Still on the fence between bottle nutrients. Maybe a couple side by sides will help me make up my mind. Thanks for reading everyone. :peace:

I suspected the leaf yellowing I was getting in late flower was due to a cal/mag problem so I am doing a comparison with MC using cal/mag on one clone and MC alone on the other which are both from the same mother. Here is a pic from a few weeks ago of the clones which I am about to harvest anytime soon and I don't see any real difference at all. I won't be using cal/mag on future grows.

Are the balls calcium?

they got identified as gypsum, which is a mineral source of calcium

Here you go @bluter This is beez0404's cloning method. I made a couple of mods to it though, and the main one is that I use Dip'n Grow rooting hormone, and just distilled water. Clonex never did a thing for me.

similar to how i do it. difference is i'm going in to hempy, or the bubble cloner. cloning gels and powders just get washed in that environment.

i got it figgered. just hope i got there in time. added a light foliar and everything responded well. using nothing but MC, no cal-mag or any of the other tools i'd normally run. gonna see if i can do this MC only. If I'd remembered the foliar off the bat i'd be laughing right now. stuff is gonna go.

Day 78 / Day 40 of 12/12 Flood&drain
MC with less than 10% calimagic.

You're killing it, @West Hippie! :Rasta:

Here we are 23 days from seed. Performed a Rez change today and upped my MC to 4g.

I'm just letting them grow out without any lst. Moving my light to 36" let them get a little leggy. Just mother plant material anyway so I'm not worried. As long as one is a girl.

Speaking of which

Took two clones from each plant today. I'll let them root then flip them to flower so I can see if we have girls or boys.

Cloner is being fed with 2g mc & 5ml of GH bioroot per gal. Clones did get root hormone gel applied.

So 8-9 days to recover then a couple weeks of flowering and we will know.
