The Mega Crop Thread

Stranger in a Strange Land, by R. A. Heinlien is where I first encountered the term. Yikes, that was more than 40 years ago.

The Stranger In A Strange Land I'm familiar with is by Iron Maiden.

I loved "The Notebooks of Lazarus Long" it's a good read after you have finished most of his dewey decimals.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have an amazing time with family and friends and be safe over the holiday!

Some frosty goodness to start the holidaze off right! One Love and Stay Medicated

My Christmas tree crop looks a little funny this year. I think the guy messed up my pine tree seed order. He did smell like reefer, so it's possible.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good light!

Need some advice I’ve been growing in soil and went to hydro buckets. I always recieved clones that were bigger than mine. I have started in a cloner the roots are 7 inches long and gonna transplant into 3 gallon bucket.
Question is light and mute solution?
I’ve used ro water and added 1ml cal mag per gallon it brought ec to .06.
Then added mega crop 1.5g per gallon both very light mix .
Hydroguard 2ml per gallon. Brought ec to .08 and ppm reads 520 which with mc it reads diff.
I’ve had clone under t5 4 bulb and moving to quantum boards 250watt. Light is 48 inches from clone. Should I not put under quantum yet. It’s been catching the light from board on side of cloner a little.ive also dimmed board some.
The other rout is to not use mc and use clonex solution for awhile?
The big plant pic has three weeks to go and moving it. It’s the clone starting I’m having issues

I sat clone in basket and light added clay pebbles and the bubbles splash but will lightly water until roots drop. Advice please

Doing my second grow with MC. I'm using Happy Frog soil and added organic perlite. Mixing it with tap water that's pH-ed between 6.2 - 6.8. So far my plants look really happy at day 11. rH staying around 55%-60% and temps in the mid-70's. I have only been mixing 2 cups at a time, which is a really small amount of MC. Those white balls usually can cause issues with weighing it out. I also weight my mix right now versus measure.

After. Although @Emilya informed me that it doesn't particularly matter in a soil grow?

Good. The way it was worded confused me, and correct, for soil and some soil-less mixes, it does not. Although many find the Mega Crop naturally comes out at about 6.5 with plain tap anyway.

That isn't exactly what I said... I said that MC specifically does not need to be pH adjusted... has nothing to do with soil. Whether or not you need to be in a certain pH range depends entirely on the nute line you are running.

Mine hasn't been, which is why I'm concerned. My tap water sits somewhere around 7.9 pH.

I was just trying to clarify. Sorry. I guess you can't run MC in a hydroponic system or anything like that. I'll step away from any conversations more today. lol.

Please explain that further, because that would mean that that growing media doesn't matter and you could in theory run Mega Crop at a pH of 9 in hydro.
