sorry stone, did you mean tapered pots are his fave ?

i can't really point to it but i believe it changes the draining and the pot's water table. which in turn effects ph etc etc
edit : your media has an impact as well.

I think the COVID prevention CBD study focused on creams, lotions and edible concoctions. I believe you lose most of the beneficial effects when you put that doob to flame. Apparently, CBGA and CBDA convert to "simple" CBD when put them to the flame. Hemp-derived CBGA and CBDA are the CBD compounds with the active COVID prevention effect, not CBD by itself.

Therefore, simple CBGA or CBDA creams and lotions applied to the hands and face may help prevent COVID infection through touching various objects/people and stopping the bug there. Orally edible CBGA and CBDA concoctions maybe help the body "stave-off" potential COVID infection and the deadly severe symptoms.

However, there maybe some preventative effect in handling the cannabis flower since some small percentage of those special CBD compounds would rub off on your hands and arms anyway.

No, @Krissi1982 it is NOT time yet to "roll in the hemp-type reefer", unless you have a massive outdoor grow and want complete nirvana going forward - or - have sacrificed yourself wholly to the Universal Multiverse - if that is the case, please post "video" of the sacrificial rights.

I think the main take way here is: specific hemp-derived CBD compounds show promise in combating COVID, although more study is needed.

Eat 'em if you got 'em.

I'll grow hemp next lmao

P.S. put some lotion on the fingees gal ! winter is a harsh mistress.

I know Stone has read up on the pots more. I just used them like I said earlier, cause they had worked well with my vegetables and he mentioned the Rev used them and boasted about how much he likes them for cannabis

Little update. Had to get G in jars yesterday so when I burped them today I just got a couple quick shots of her sparkly self

Forgot to weigh her, have 5 masons worth lol

Like I said guys and gals, just trying to focus back on the homefront as tending to the mishap this past week and Covid the last two weeks stretched us thin here at the casa- TK and I haven't had much time to even talk, really.

With mental health issues, it's important to remember to stay balanced and be mindful of where your head is at. I have learned that decompression is important to me and my ability to alleviate stress. I don't get much time for myself and these last few weeks I've had none. Just got out today for the first time, much needed.

I'll be back in the mix before you know it...not to mention, I'd really like to flip the veg tent to flower this weekend (just scared that Onyx and Gigi will turn still and don't want to compromise both tents)

Any thoughts on when would be safe to flip and/or when you think I'd be in the safe zone with the flowering girls, I'll be happy to take..

Salute friends, thanks for sticking by me

Thank you! And I've reviewed that book...how many times now?! :smokin2::hmmmm:

I really am bad about recalling info like that. Urgh...

Hey Krissi! So, as I understand the situation, you had some girls go hermie and potentially released pollen. Correct? So the concern is residual pollen in the surrounding area, correct?

So, if I'm only commenting based on observations I've seen from other growers (not necessarily on this site). If pollen was a concern, they would increase the humidity as high as possible, including spraying down the plants and room/tent walls with RO water. The goal was to "rinse" or clean the air. They would do this a couple times, all while having full air flow to help dry things off on the plants. Plants would drip dry whilst the walls and floors would get cleaned up while damp. That was the primary methodology I saw. That would neutralize anything inside your tent. Anything outside that could get sucked in...I'm not sure what to say there. I hope that helps a little. Seems like an easy enough way to do something precautionary. Maybe a waste of time too. I don't know.

I came in late. Are you speaking of self watering pots? That's what I was. Thought those were that.

Well I've cleaned and cleaned I'm wondering if the two who were entering or just entered pre flower, Gigi and Onyx, who are in the flower tent now flowering but also with the hermied plants are going to turn still? Or if they were spared

If that's what we were talking about. Maybe I got off track. Self watering ones?
Yes. @bluter Was just saying that they are angled, narrowed slightly towards the bottom

Is there any reason why they would turn? Exposure to pollen doesn't cause hermaphrodites, just seeds.

They were just in there with them for about 12 days after they flipped to 12/12 with the hermied girls..I've been waiting to see if they started to grow any male parts. Thankfully I am just seeing girls but I didn't want to risk contaminating because I will end up moving the veg girls to the flower tent with Gigi and Onyx and starting the other seeds in the veg tent. I didn't want to muck it up for 5 plants instead of 2...you know what I mean?

I think so. You're wondering if whatever caused the hermaphrodite in the flower tent affected them as well?
All the pics you've shown of them since the incident have shown no signs of going hermie.

There were a couple of growers somewhere who seemed to think that a plant pollinated by a hermie would then go hermie. I think maybe I got you confused with them at some point. Sorry if I've caused any confusion.

I don't think so either I just can't get rid of these trepidations!

No but now I'm curious, so your saying that a hermie plant wouldn't pollinate another plant to then go hermie? Now I think I'm more confused than when we started lmao

But I think I will go ahead and flip the girls Sunday night then in the other tent. I think if anything hit them, after a week, I would see something

No. There was somebody who had a plant pollinated by a hermie. They thought that the plant that had been pollinated would also become a hermie because it had been pollinated by one.
A plant in flower that had been pollinated by a hermie could still go hermie itself, but not because of being pollinated.

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification Mel!

Went in and gave Onyx and Gigi fan leaf and bottom 1/3 trims...man they had some big ones!

Onyx has some nice sugar starting.

She began week 2 flower from @Prescription Blend today along with her flowering sister

Sounds reasonable.

Buon giorno tutti!

Let ya guys see how I cleaned up Onyx's bottom. Sorry I didn't move Gigi out to get better pics, had TK running to grab bagels so I was on baby duty and just had time to water.
The flowering girls were both thirsty, Gigi more than Onyx though.

Love how stocky she is. Can't wait to see this bush in full flower with those dark purple and silver resinous nugs!
