The Legion Of Doob: Perpetual Chaos

I’m not a fan but I saw Def Leopard in ‘93 and it was one of the most amazing shows I’ve ever seen. The one armed drummer did a 20 minute solo on a platform that rotated and moved all around the arena with crazy lasers, smoke and lights shooting everywhere. I know the other guys in the band were smoking a joint. It was amazing to me at the time, I’d never seen anything like that. I think bands spent a lot more money on the shows back then. Especially that hair metal crap.

There used to be a club in Tijuana called Iguanas, it was the punk and metal spot. Saw so many good shows there. I saw Offspring and Green Day when they were really young open for Bad Religion, and saw Pennywise, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Merciful Fate, King Diamond, Dream Theater, probably a lot more I can’t remember due to being a kid and having unlimited $1 beers. I saw Tool also im TJ but not at Iguanas. I’ve also seen Santana about 5 times down there. Jeez just thinking about all those crazy nights makes me a bit scared. I was really oit of control for a really long time. At least my kid is 21 so he doesn’t have to go to TJ to drink, and never would until they made an Xbox game about it.

A good show is a good show. Even if its Def Leopard. Last time I was in TJ I was the only white boy at a Hispanic bachelor party. Dont do that. They have this thing where they wrap a towel around your head, pour tequila down your gullet and blow a whistle in your ear. So trashed...

Damn Doob! Love Santana! Guitar Heaven is an amazing album.
Oh yeah love that, I saw Jeff Beck and Santana here in San Diego right on the water, it was so good. They played a duet with the sun setting behind them, was absolutely perfect. They usually had symphony type bands there and had volunteer security guards and I got caught smoking a bowl by this super nice old lady who just told us to go under the bleachers.

Lol even back then I tried to avoid the tequila poppers and I never said no to anything. There’s just something about your head being shaken back and forth while a whistle is blasting away directly in your ear that just somehow makes the tequila feel stronger.

We did that as our pledge party for the active fraternity brothers. I puked guts that night. Sorry bout your balcony down their... 3 floor dorms!
Ugh. Memories are flooding back.

On a different night we were in a club. A lady took the stage. There was a gentleman passed out with his head on the stage. Apparently that was her territory, so she walked up and literally kicked him off the stage. Never seen anything like that. Customer service sucks down there

I dig Jeff Beck... especially with Rod Stewart. Hes got to be the most under rated guitarist ever

I think Roger Waters deserves more credit as a guitarist, many people only know him as a bassist and while the bass is a guitar I think many people only hear the spacious melodies of the lead and the catchy rhythm riffs in many songs. I've never heard a bad word about Jeff Beck. How bout that long curly haired fellow with the top hat. Plays a Les Paul I believe.

I don't think many people underrate Jeff Beck, do they?
If you know of him already than maybe not. But you never hear him on the radio... ever. I'm quite sure most people under 35 have absolutely no idea.

Only guitarists and rock n roll fan are gonna know most of those guys, IMO. Kinda like, "Oh yeah that guitarist for GnR is amazing!"

I know right have you heard his stuff with Scott Weiland and Velvet Revolver?

The Clash is another one that is under rated in my book.

So I did the first Cat drench on the kit plants yesterday, here is the before shot, I think they’re looking great so far. Loving that they only need water once a week because it’s a pain in the neck. Next time I’m going to hook up a pump for watering like I’ve got for the hempies.

And the hempies are doing well too. The BCP in the back right seemed to need a bit more nitrogen so I gave it a double dose of MegaCrop for a couple days then back on the Rx Green flower nutes. That’s the downfall of watering with the pump and tubes; they all get the exact same nutes no matter what.

The two little Northern Lights clones in the 2’x2’ have grown a ton but I think the timer is broken, I can’t really figure out how it’s working, it seems to turn off and on randomly. I wonder if it’ll turn all hermie so I just left them. They weren’t destined for greatness anyways.

Id say most folks know Slash, but to play devils advocate...

Have you heard the guy from the Yardbirds? No not him, the other guy, no not him the other guy.
