The Legion Of Doob: Perpetual Chaos

Lived in LA once...turned 23 there. San Fernando Valley. Reseda and Canoga Park. Only lived there 6 months. Dad went and got cancer at 50 ...had to come back to Canada...never went back to Cali after he died. Stayed here for mom, and my 3 sisters. Many , very cool memories from those times...on my canyon racer , street bike. Someone once said.."go west young man" so i did. Lottsa stories....cheers eh.
Sorry to hear about your father. You really have seen a bit of Los Angeles in your time here. I only go there to see a band. Bauhaus ( an acquired taste) is playing there next month. I may do that. I think I'd rather live in Canada. I love Victoria Island. I think I could do that

I'm sure it's different from back then, but it's still a great place to live as long as you can afford a place to live in. And have learned enough patience from growing to deal with the traffic :).

Ya, when i lived there i rented a room in two houses. One in Reseda and the other in Canoga Park. I remember buying a helmut the day i bought my used bike....i wore it on the way home and not once while i lived there. It was so much fun. Oh shit, the traffic ....always found a reason to cut thru the mountains and head for Zuma beach on the PCH. Met Loyde Bridges one day ,..in his bare feet and shorts..standing out on PCH saying goodbye to some friends. Stopped and chatted with him a while...was very cool. It was the 4th of July 1982. Cheers.

That's ok Toed.:high-five:..he's been gone a very long time. His brother , my uncle, died today. He was the middle brother of three. My dad being the oldest passed first at 50 yrs, like i said. One more uncle left. He was the baby of the three brothers(my uncles). He's now in his mid 80's. Anyhow , enough doom and gloom...Have a great night u guys. :circle-of-love:

The housing market is thrashed. It's one of those things, if you own a home and leave you can never come back unless you're in the black by a large margin. Winning the Powerball helps.

Traffic is truly awful. My some drives to Santa Monica every day about 60 miles. Through the worst traffic in Southern California. I cant do it, so I work from home

Wow Toed...i guess so eh. Man,..how does a person do it , and not LOSE IT!
I know with 420% certainty , i would SNAP driving there now. No patience for it.
I woulda got killed on a motorcycle , had i stayed ... :cheesygrinsmiley:
I'm a little too volatile for heavy traffic. Dude, you dont want to ride a bike here. You may be bad ass on two wheels, but nothing beats a little old lady on her way to Walmart to shop the deals.

I have three friends that ate it in the past 5 years or so. The first tore a hole in his heart when a little old lady on her way to Walmart cut him off with a left turn. Hes ok, but he doesnt ride anymore. Another hit someone who stopped in front of him. He wasted his thumbs. He still has thumbs, but, they arent like they used to be. The third was a main man in a MC. He simply slid on gravel and high sided. He bonked his head... he'll never be the same. If you live in Wyoming have fun. Got all dark again.

Toed...man,...Wat can i say. I was young and , i did drop my bike one day while following two friends thru some canyon. Made the rookie mistake , in a hard HP , applied my back brake for a second....too long...it slid out from under me. I wound up on the wrong side of a guard rail with my bike a mess. Slid right across the road...no cars coming. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Shed, no guff eh. I'm hoping my youngest doesn't want one.

Glad to see you made it.

My kid has a few dirt bikes with friends in the desert so he does that. That's more of a personal skill. Still, I know more than one person who broke their back, in the dirt. My wife rides quads as does her mother. I keep praying for a crash with the mother in law, but no one is listening. Sorry, that's just mean... fingers crossed. My kid has been lucky so far.

I read an article in the news yesterday. A 200 sq ft shed in someones back yard was rented out for $1050 per month. Crazy!

I love Victoria Island. I think I could do that

I lived in Esquimault for a couple of years. Victoria - The Land of the Newly Wed, and Nearly Dead.
