I didnt know what to expect from the yield. This past season was really bad. Almost killed them with peroxide in mid flower. Not too surprised if the yield wasnt super bitchen.
I'd like to build a press, but I would never be able to do for the price Doob paid for his. The first thing I would do is make the plates out of steel to keep the plates from deflecting. I think making sure they were parallel would help quite a bit. Maybe adding tie bars and bushing would help. It would take a little longer to heat up, but not by much. The idea is to put the power where its needed.
This was fun. I learned a lot. I would, and probably will buy a machine like Doobs

So, I tried the goods. I dont have a rig, so I put it in a bong. It tasted pretty good, and worked great. @DrDoob I wonder what the used pucks would give up if you gave them an alcohol bath.
I'm spending the day getting ready for my next season, I'm gonna do an SOG with monstercropped Strawberry Banana clones. I'm just goofing around. I'm sure it's been done, but I havent seen it so I'm calling it the future of pot growing. Hey if Asesino can call LST, Quadlining, what have I got to lose.

That's what the Mad Squisher (aka Grandpa Tokin) does with his used pucks. He got a pretty good return from them!

Theres a dude who knows a bit about pressing pot. And then, knows what to do with it. I hear his capsules are lethal. I followed him for a while, but when he had a heart attack I fell off the radar a bit. Hes a good man.
He's back from that and going gangbusters! Dropped over 80 pounds and works out every day. He's an inspiration

Awesome! It looked pretty ugly for a while there.... and every single member that followed him was secretly worried that he would have to stop his little workshop. Glad to hear hes in shape. I need some of that! I go to Doobs house, he weighs 97 pounds holding a Sparklets bottle and I'm having a hard time fitting in his work space! Shameful...He's back from that and going gangbusters! Roll a joint and spread some rosin around the top 1/4 or so. Then smoke the joint as normal, when it gets hot and starts to drip, point the joint down and it will roll to the cherry and sizzle into a nice fat hit.

Same method he recommended for me. I pinched a nice dab between two lil snappers and then ripped the bong. Great way to try for first time. Heavy eye lids...

If work doesn’t kill me this morning I’ll roll one and take pics of how I do it. It’s the only way the GF likes rosin, it sounds messy or whatever but it’s not really, and adding kief makes it even less messy.
Like this Blunt with rosin smeared on it then rolled in kief. Looks ugly but hits amazing.

I'm a joint guy, but I like em a bit on the huge side. It's a waste of bud, but I hate the taste of paper. I figure, if it's almost 3gr. I did my job right.Well I didn’t name myself DrDabRig, of course I’m going to say roll a doobie.
I rolled a couple. Man it's kind of a bitch when it sticks to the paper. One J has the rosin on the wrong side so I'll have to smoke it backwards, or roll it again... Its not that big of a deal. The other worked out ok. I rolled the rosin between my fingers like a stringy booger then froze it for a bit so it was less likely to stick. Theres only one thing left to do.
I know I said this stuff is stoney, but it's only marginally stronger than bud.
Still, I learned a lot, like use better scraps. I'll be making RSO with the rest. Cheers
