The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

I figured out what it is! Take a look at this and tell me you don't see a den of Chinese Bearded Dragons taking flight.

graycarn1.JPG

Ok, that doesn't explain the gut-wrenching reaction every time I see it, :laughtwo: but it does answer that nagging question of "Why am I so mesmerized?"

Chinese Dragons and exploding fireworks :)

Ok. :laughtwo: I didn't catch the fireworks until right now. :laughtwo: Graytail, did you ever notice this?

Actually, I do. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I was studying it trying to figure out what was particularly mesmerizing about it when you posted. :laughtwo: I've grown prettier ones. But if this is that 18-brixer, I really enjoyed that plant. Alas, it's all gone now.

Yeah, Graytail, I hear that, but we've been following you for quite some time, my friend. We know you have that monster inventory and you're always outdoing yourself again, so I like your chances of growing better, or at the very least, comparable. :cheesygrinsmiley:

"Pro-Keds, mopeds, take a limousine instead - they ain't cheap but they're easy to find. Get on the highway, point yourself my way, take a roller coaster that comes in sideways, just get to me.... " hahaha! I love the way that line just tumbles out. :laughtwo:

Sorry, music distraction. LOL!

Post Brix, earlier this morning. ( :laughtwo: Every time I type in Brix the iPad now wants to intuitively go to BrixKlinger!)

I'll get a shot after I return from my walk. Look at that! I slept until after 9! WooHoo! That's a whole 5 hours (with Brix in the middle, but that was only a few minutes - in my sleep!) :laughtwo: I think that's the best I've slept in months. Months. :yahoo:

Looks to be a stellar day in the making. :battingeyelashes:

One last thing:

image28287.jpg

I keep these glasses hanging right next to the tent. Eye safety first guys. Life's going to throw you enough curves as you progress along your path. Try not to complicate the matter by flirting with cataracts, ok? OK then. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Back to the music. "Go on, hitch a ride on the back of a butterfly. There's no better way to fly to get to me. I look around.... " (dances down the hallway)

You all have a wonderful morning, hear? :hugs:

"And you keep on glowing, you keep on showing me the way. " Yep A good day. "But I got everything. With you everything."

Oooo, Clapton's next. Good walking music for sure. :battingeyelashes:

I was thinking how humorous it is that I spend all these hours every day absolutely absorbed in grow after grow after grow, looking for those little gems that unexpectedly fall out every now and then - all with the intention of having it all become so much a part of my inner consciousness that when I'm working my own garden those gems incorporate themselves as "instinct". Instinct. That's what I'm working for. To develop that intuitive bond with the plants.

Scrubby, you inspire me to pay closer attention. I don't think scrubby fully comprehends how much he's affected us as a group lately. I know he's having the time of his life! Keep it up bud. There are so many delightful and exciting grows going on right now - Duggan's Sativa Dance, scrubby Writing the Manual, Magic's screamingly hysterical attitude towards life and gardening, Mr. Teddy's Greek Wonderland, Graytail's Land 'O Light, BAR's Never-Ending HarvestFest........... I follow well over 40 threads, too many, but who do you pass up?

You guys are a serious addiction. I have no intention of being concerned about that. :laughtwo:

Hey GhettoGro!!! Thanks for the Funk. I'd forgotten about Funk. :laughtwo: "Tell me something good...."

Looking good can not wait to start my own

So, thinking of starting a journal? :battingeyelashes:

I just realized what time it is. I ran into my daughter and strayed off my path to hers to help her do some grocery shopping and may not get home in time to get into the tent before lights off.

Not that they need to see me again today. Just that I needed to see them. *sigh*

Good luck getting back into the swing of things. In case you didn't pick up on it, WE MISS YOU.

Omg. I miss yall too. You just dont know. I find myself sitting on the porch and I think things like...I wonder how SweetSue is doing or What do Cannafan's Wildlings look like now or I wonder who won the contests this month. lol Naturally, I wonder what everyone's plants look like one month later or who has harvested.

Yep, Ive been missing yall too. :)

Stop in every now and then and watch us all come running to give you a big hug. At some point it will settle down and you'll be right back in the swing. They charge too damn much for cable! Take care. We're just so glad to hear it was a minor inconvenience like internet loss. Many of us have been there, done that.

We'll be watching for you Sorenna.

I made it home just before lights out, :yahoo: so Yeah - update coming. :slide:

But first...... Where's that pipe? There it is! :laughtwo:

Hi sue yes I'm currently looking at LEDs I'm thinking marshydro I'm doing my research and can't wait for my tent to arrive so much information on here and this iPad is gonna die soon lol

ok everyone reading this please go to my journal sad news for me in there but in the long run gonna be better:bump::bump:

Daily Update: Perpetual Tent: Week 9

Kind of a rush run-through to beat the lights, so please forgive the blurry ones. One of these days I should get a nice camera that interfaces with a computer, which it would also be a good idea to acquire. :hmmmm:

But I digress. I wanted to see how they took the Brix foliar. It's going to take me some time to get used to what these little plots of soil will be happiest with. It's a good thing I'll have a "regular" specimen in the closet to learn the kit from a more traditional perspective.

Ziggy, did that "normal" make you laugh too? I think "normal" is pretty relative. Look at what became "normal" in your tent. :laughtwo:

So let's see what they have going on today.

Auto Destroyer: Day 59

OK, I'll say it... Yummmmm!

African Buzz: Day 58. This plant is going to single-handedly show me, as much as she can, what the kit is designed to do. Look at what she's got going on in there! Imagine, just imagine, what she'd be like if I'd raised her proper from the beginning. At some point we're going to see that happen, and it's going to be a closet baby.

Auto Jock Hooror x Auto Amnesia: Day 57 My big consolation is that I'm going to get some enviable product to enjoy from this spindly little thing. Look at how hard she works to please. I got that CAT drench in right on time it appears. Let's see if she lasts through the next one. Any thoughts as to another approach to bring her in without that second CAT? I live with her, and I'm telling you she's eager to run to the finish. Hahaha! So much like her mother. Too funny.

image28315.jpg

image28316.jpg

I just love the way these teeny buds sit perched round her like this. Such delicacy. I could get used to these little beauties. How would you all survive the photo onslaught though?

image28318.jpg

Cheese Candy: Day 59 Crouched in the corner and purring away, she continues to stack the blossoms like mad, and now they're beginning to frost up. Oooooo. Every plant grown in this pot has surprised me at finish. I expect she'll do no less. The smell, so heady. I open this tent up and nearly swoon with delight every day.

The Kit Girls all got their weekly Brix. No other maintenance was called for.

Tomorrow I mix seedling soil and get set up to plant seeds on Sunday. I discovered I have a strong preference for planting on Sundays. Not really sure why, but it appears it's a pretty strong one because I tried to plant today and it just wasn't happening. :laughtwo: It got me to wondering if I'm not the only person that does this. So let me throw the question out there - do you prefer to plant on a particular day of the week, and if so, have you any idea why you have that preference? Just curious. :battingeyelashes:

I'm hoping your day has been as joyful as mine turned out to be. I kind of played hooky :laughtwo:, but I took every opportunity I came across to be helpful and encouraging. It made the day such a delight. Think I'll get down on the mat and play with some Feldenkrais movements. I still have some kincks to work out in my back and I need to get these glasses off.

I managed to scratch the left lense of my glasses today. Not a nice normal scratch, mind you, but a dot - a dot! - right there where it's an irritant. Obviously I'm going to have to make some magic happen to replace them, because good eyesight is important. My first reaction was an unexpected "Maybe it's time to dig out that course on "Sight Without Glasses" you have buried in the library. " :laughtwo: Remember me? The eternal optimist? Yeah, sometimes I surprise myself. :laughtwo:

Hahaha! I burn through two recharges a day on my iPad many days. Obsessed. I fully admit it. :laughtwo: This site is like a rapid-fire course on cannabis cultivation. Shout out if you need anything. These are the most helpful people on earth. We smoke great weed and we think everyone should do the same, so of course we're relaxed and helpful. :cheesygrinsmiley:

And it's always nice to have you stop by UncleCannabis. You're too kind, but they are giving their best effort, and that's really all one can ask. Next week we get back to serious growing again.
