The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

Good idea Rad - my mom died last year right at thanksgiving, she was the matriarch of our family and we always had thanksgiving at well home for me was her home really. This year we are doing something completely different, change of pace ... yeah resetting, it's a good thing, I'm feeling positive about it and looking back miss my mom terribly so a change is a good thing. We can always count on change, right? Just have to make the best of it and find the goodness.

Thank you guys. This discussion that's gone on all day has been incredibly helpful to me, and I can only imagine for many others as well. This year will be odd for me no matter what, and I'm giving thought to some ideas inspired by Rad. I like the idea of being thankful for an active and curious brain.

It's been emotionally exhausting, but enriching and enlightening as well, and how do I not feel good about the outpouring of love? Thank you all for caring. :hugs:

electro gypsy has me following his musical caravan, which called for something special. Believe it or not, I've managed to hang on to a small segment of the Auto Jock Horror x Auto Amnesia I harvested over a month ago. Kicks my butt in three hits. I'm gonna try for a fourth, but my fingers feel numb, and I am completely lost in what this artist called " downtempo psychedelia". Wow!

image3996.jpeg

The fourth hit's been loaded now for five minutes while this music has been swirling through my brain. LOL! Here I go...........

Got lost there. Whew! Potent! I felt it with the first hit, got a body slam with the second, could have stopped with the third but honestly, where's the fun in that? :laughtwo:

I'm going back to the music now. Almost caught up, then off to bed for me.

Good night all. Thanks for watching over me. :hugs:

Wow! What a morning! It's like an emotional crash course. I've decided to stick close to home today and chill. I have one more brownie dose left and it's a wait for the next. Funny how life keeps doing that, but I'm instantly reminded that I choose to maintain a high daily dose. Personal responsibility and all. It never made sense to teach it to our children but fail to maintain the standard in my own life. We were pretty good about mutual respect in my house, as you might imagine.

I didn't even get into the tent until noon. Unzipped at precisely 12:00 PM.

I have a coconut/aloe drench scheduled for the LOS pots, so Carnival had to come out first. She was looking luscious and she got sticky trichomes all over my fingers taking these photos. :laughtwo:

At Day 132

Here's a cool perspective. :battingeyelashes:

image4007.jpeg

This piece at the bottom of one of these dense-as-hell colas caught my eye.

image4008.jpeg

Pretty, yes, but look closer.

image117.png

That's why we grow. We see this a lot on this site. So spoiled we are, eh? :slide:

I know I'm on an emotional roller coaster of my own choosing. Dale and I loved large and with passion. For me to imagine that my letting go of that reality would somehow be calm and measured is to deny the firecracker he married, don't you think? I'm so glad I figured that out. I'm going to cry at the drop of a hat today, and it won't make the world stop turning for one second. I obviously have issues that need cried out. Why should this be any different from any other painfully transformative moment in my life? :laughtwo:

I know I'll survive. I know I'll laugh as I cry and at some point the balance will swing to more laughter than tears and I'll have suddenly healed. It's a natural progression. Major adjustments usually have bumpy spots as you go along. The trick is to keep going. Faith comes in handy, something I've been uniquely trained to practice.

So get out there and spread that joy guys. It's not that the universe is necessarily depending on it for survival, but they certainly appreciate the extra effort we make to pump more loving energy into the system. I like to think we make a big difference. :battingeyelashes:

I have some drenches to do. :ciao:

Dark Devil Autos

#2 is now 77 days old. I'll definately get another drench in, the TransWater, but I don't know if she'll hold off another five days to get another Energy and then five more to dry out. Pushing it to the limits guys. Is there any value to be gained in going with an Energy next? To simply bypass the TransWater? That doesn't feel like a good idea, but I'm open to suggestions.

That bud made its sacrifice. A surprisingly dense and healthy branch. This is really a startlingly beautiful plant.

The sacrificial bud and budlet.

The tiny one got her share of the coconut/aloe drench today with some Agsil and Lactobacillis serum added. As I was returning her to her perch the colors caught my eye, so I went looking for some natural lighting to try and get a close approximation. This picture actually came very close to it. Beautiful, isn't she? She's 62 days old today.

Jamaican Dream (Day 77)

Just some close up shots.

It appears her trichomes are born cloudy! LOL! Don't you find that amazing? Unbelievable. Like she knows we're on a tighter-than-expected timeline.

I can fully appreciate why Graytail has a fondness for this strain. Can't wait to taste it. :laughtwo:

Finishing up before lights off and I decided on a whim that this Unknown Seed needs to be tested.

image122.png

I'm going to do a quick dry on this one. The small bud from the Dark Devil Auto will sit for a couple days to dry out first. This one I want to try now. LOL!

I'll let you know how it goes. This extends my brownies out for another morning. :battingeyelashes: A good thing.

Wow, SweetSue. Im just back from being out of town and your tent is just as fluffy as I remember it being. Lovely, lovely plants. Itll take me a minute to read what I missed and found who still lives in your tent and who got the ol' chopola. Nice work. :)

Sorenna, Baby!! :hugs:

Good to see you back. Yeah, so much going on! I can't remember myself. :laughtwo:

I think two or three pages back there's a list of what's left, but it all comes down within three weeks.

A little update on my cannabis companion

image3839.jpeg

Easy one, and I'm surprised B A R didn't jump in yet. :laughtwo: He must be busy this morning. That, my friends is a fortuitous spontaneous germination of one of the most beneficial companion planting seeds for cannabis, the importance of which was determined by our own aforementioned B A R. Pigeons, if my guess is correct, your stow-along is Lamb's Quarters. I'll be surprised if it turns out to be anything else. At this stage it's a distinct look. Check with Reg to be certain, though.

Yep, that's definitely Lambs Quarters Pigeons and that's exactly how I was introduced to it. The first time I saw it in one of my pots I called it my plant's sidekick. Get ready because it's going to out grow your girl like crazy. I use them to recycle soil and as an edible.

Here's a "copy & paste"

Lamb's Quarters is an annual wild edible that from a distance, tends to always looks dusty; this is because there is a white powdery coating on the leaves. Lambs Quarters is a purifying plant and helps to restore healthy nutrients to the soil if need be. However, if there is a large patch of lamb’s quarters, be sure that the soil is relatively good and not contaminated. This unique plant tends to spread quickly in areas in which soil is contaminated in order to restore nutrients. This wild edible has an earthy, mineral rich taste; some say is close to chard. It’s difficult to describe, but if you enjoy leafy greens such as kale, collards, and spinach then chances are you will like lambs quarter.

Good day Sue. Looking good up in here. By the way, we chopped Dale's Blue Blood today. :hugs:

I was just over there Reg. Totally moved, my friend. What an honor, and how thrilling that it turned out to be so potent. Kind of right. :battingeyelashes:  Just in time for Thanksgiving too. How timely. :laughtwo:

I was going to hit you with reps for sharing the LQ info, but they only let me do that to you once a day and - surprise, surprise - I'd already done that on your journal. Being pretty sparkly already today B A R, and you just got started. Thanks for sharing it. :hugs:

Smoke Report: Unknown Seed

image4028.jpeg

Apparently accidental seeds grow the most potent cannabis. LOL! This seed was the result of a loose male in a tent packed with top-notch genetics and there's absolutely no reasonable way to track the lineage. That makes this such an interesting experience, in that I'm among a rare few people to even taste this particular genetics.

image123.png

And it's a keeper. On a scale of 1-10 I'd place this at a high 8. Some of the loopiest product I've smoked from my own garden. Hahaha! I smoked the whole teeny bud, about six hits in the end, and I'm sitting on the floor where I normally would, but now it's also because I don't think I could go anywhere other than here on the floor for a while.

image124.png

Smells like Jolly Rancher grapeish. Nice fruity flavor - can't quite place it, but it rang a memory bell, just not one I recognize yet. I was impressed with how tasty it was fresh and flash dried. It hit from the first. The second hit was more a soft slap than a hit. :laughtwo: That was when I knew this was a winner. Had to force myself to finish off the last hit, I was that stoned - am that stoned.

Burns clean and smooth. Leaves that white ash we're so fond of. :blunt:

I have some interesting music I didn't get to yesterday. This feels like the moment to finish it. I'll catch you later. :ciao:

wow quite the wild card this unknown girl

Yech!

As I've written before, I don't smoke. The thought of drawing smoke into myself is abhorrent to me.
That said (again); when in Amsterdam a few weeks ago I was proffered a pipe of WW and for some inscrutable reason I gave in to try after all.

It was not as bad as I had thought, IT WAS UMPTEEN TIMES WORSE! What is wrong with all of you who smoke? My throat burned, I could not cough enough if my life depended on it, my lungs ached for hours, my eyes watered, my mouth tasted like toast that has been left roasting faaar too long, the otherwise tasty white widow tasted only of burned gunk, even the high did not alleviate the discomfort.

UGH! NEVER doing that again! Result: a very wretched OMeWan and that was just from one draw. I'm sticking to my vaporizer and edibles. Besides the discomfort, there are so many complex tastes and aromas present when vaping that seem to totally go missing when burning.

Got to do something about this.

:volcano-smiley::Love:

Never had an experience like that smoking. Unless I do a direct lung hit with a blunt or something. I prefer water pipes, and I find the key to not coughing is to only burn a corner of the bowl. You can also increase your air intake by pulling in fresh air with the corner of your mouth while inhaling smoke. Too many times I've seen someone torching a half gram bowl just to cough it out halfway through clearing the piece. Too much smoke isn't always a good thing.

I don't like spoon pipes for that reason as well, too hot. But I agree with you that vaping is better. With the amount of tar that collects in my water, that can't be good for your lungs.

I know what you mean. I went vape only for 3 months and then tried a bong hit. It tasted foul to me. In the end I do both now because my girlfriend doesn't like vaping. She makes up for that by being generally awesome.

Heh heh heh -- after I had only vaped for a couple of months I tried hitting a pipe. It was awful! I had got so used to being able to taste every flavour of the weed that the pipe was revolting -- all I could taste was burnt crap. I mix it up more, now -- some joints, some vaping, because I do love the physical effect of smoking a joint sometimes. Combustion is a different kind of high and sometimes that's what I want. But mostly I vape because I love tasting what I'm smoking!
